On the subject of Q-Bots... I am planning on renting one online for my visit on the 25th of May (memorial day) and when I go to select the day, there is a menu asking for waht time I want to reserve it and the only time available is 11:00 AM. Can anyone explain what this means exactly? Can I not get the Q-Bot until 11?

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

^ It's hard to say because the Terminator: Salvation soundtrack has not yet been released. And while they could use the stock Terminator theme, it's much to low and mellow for it to work on a fast paced roller coaster. Today was awesome. Thank you in advance Robb for kicking it up even further. Jake "Waiting with much anticipation" Sundstrom -
I lived in Northern California till I was about twelve years old, and despite it being only twenty minutes from my house, I only went to the park twice. Marine World (as it was then) was well over an hour, yet I went there easily ten times (I wasn't as into coasters then as I was now, so that was a lot). Point being: Marine World is a much better park on nearly every level, and it has much better "word of mouth". People still talked about Great America as "the gang park" when I lived there, and I'm not sure if that has changed or not.

I really enjoy the Dateline Disney feature, it's a great way to keep updated on the various construction projects around the resort. Thanks for posting these, Robb! -

^ That does seem short.. Roar at Discovery Kingdom has a train of twelve cars/24 passengers. But I'm sure if the trains to end up being only eight cars there is a good reason for it! -
If I had to guess about the absence of the parents I would say that the kid went into the bounce house (obviously the parents would not be able to accompany their child inside) and when the child and the presumably large throng of children exited, they could not pick the kid out right away. Odds are, they were waiting across the way for their kid to come back to them, and in that time the child found a way to get into the coaster area. That's my guess anyway.

Note: Take the following with a grain of salt. According to a Universal Orlando operated MySpace page (A Halloween Horror Nights Page, actually) claims that this ride will be opening July 3rd. I looked on the ride's page, and didn't see anything that could confirm this, but I thought it was worth throwing out there.

^ According to Magic Mountain's Facebook page they were put on the track Monday, I believe. Granted, just because the ride is testing does not mean that anyone has been out there to see it.. Right? -
Wait, I've got it. I also went in June, and if Robb did as well.. there is only one solution... Magnum was sinking at a progressive rate in the month of June 2007. Therefore, we caught it in a bad month and must reserve our opinions on the ride until we go ride it when it is "running well" - or sinking less, as it were. Problem solved.

Nope, I found the ride rather bland and quite painful when I rode it in the Summer of 2007 as well. I don't get what the big deal is.. Especially with a hyper coaster that is exponentially better right across the park in the form of Millennium Force. Even if you aren't a Force fan (And I'm no fanatic) you've gotta wonder why people still go crazy over Magnum...

Lack of personal responsibility? Who are you kidding? I can fully understand that the parents, in the end, are responsible for their children. I get that. What I'm saying is, that if the fencing was adequate, the child would not have died. So go ahead, label me, tease me, whatever. But the fact is that the child is dead, and would not be had their been adequate fencing. Yes, yes, if the parents had not made a mistake, the same could be said. But I don't see what's wrong with my wishing there had been adequate fencing so that this kid could still be alive today?

Don't be ridiculous. You know very well that I am not saying we need to live in a bubble boy society where the government and corporations hold our hands every step we take. What I AM saying, is that clearly the fence was not doing it's job: To keep people out. And if a five year old can do it, then I would say someone who actually wants to (for a purpose more substantial than curiosity) could easily do so as well.

^ They don't want people to know that this "great ticket deal" expires the day before their brand new roller coaster opens. Ah Six Flags, you've still got it! -
