  1. ^ But remember that the poll operates on comparisons, and since most of the Terminator fanatics (I'm sure I will be one come Monday) have not been on rides such as El Toro or The Phoenix, so that should not really be an issue if those that have been on both (Robb and Elissa) rank El Toro and what not higher, right? Airtime is anything that brings me up out of my seat, whether it reaches negative g's or not... After all, anything lower than one G is less than you are feeling sitting in your chair right now. That's how I look at it anyway!
  2. I am all out of my Disneyland and California Adventure maps, but come Monday I will pick up some from Six Flags Magic Mountain. (although I would assume we will have a pretty high supply of those by then)
  3. I'm no expert on how long it takes to create coaster track, but I think it's safe to say that if they are starting right now they will have plenty, and I mean PLENTY of time to create multiple coasters done being manufactured before the park opens. Can you imagine the kind of shipping they would charge Busch if they were manufacturing the parts in America? Eek.
  4. To be honest, I liked the show. The acting was good (They tried so hard with a rather mediocre script) and it got the audience involved, which was good. Sure, a lot of Magic Mountain's audience will walk out, but those are the people that (in my opinion) a Dark Knight show would appeal to... I think the park could really benefit with having both!
  5. Great update, Robb! God I can't wait till Monday... I will be buying myself some Terminator swag!
  6. ^ I was thinking the same thing. My family has been looking at planning a Walt Disney World trip for a number years, but for a family of six it's not all that cheap, considering how long you would have to stay in order to really experience the resort. The value is fantastic, I can't deny that, but if you can't afford it, it doesn't make much difference. So, no, I don't think Walt Disney World needs another park in it's arsenal. As long as it keeps its' individual parks fresh, you won't need a new park at the resort for a number of years to come.
  7. Thanks for the great report, I really enjoyed it. It's too bad that Pilgrims' Plunge didn't do it for you, it looks like a terrific ride.
  8. Jeez, what a bunch of whiners! Sorry guys, you screwed up, so step back and let somebody else have a chance to.. Duplicate your fate . K, thanks!
  9. If only the funnels touch the water (And I do believe that is the case) then you would not see a significant slow down occur (The ride is technically slowing down the whole ride due to friction, and what not right?). So while it is feasible that the ride would slow down to some extent, I don't think that the funnels are intended to slow the train down. But I could be wrong.. I'm not sure how the funnels and train interact with the water exactly.
  10. I'm getting this awful feeling that I should have waited a few days to buy my flash pass...
  11. I feel one upped. Thanks. How soon is soon? I'm looking forward to hearing the news, whatever it is!
  12. So the soundtrack for Terminator: Salvation was released today (Danny Elfman, hell yeah!) and it sounds pretty good! I wouldn't be surprised if we hear some of this, along with some kind of sound effects (gun shots, etc.) as the on board audio for Terminator Salvation: The Ride. I can't find any of the music online to link you guys to (youtube, etc.) but you can hear the samples on iTunes. Thoughts?
  13. ^ I rode at around the same time that you did on the same day. It's really eerie to think that I was one of the last few hundred people to ever see him :/. I'm glad that I was able to catch it on video though! Edit: Here's my video. I didn't want to further go off topic with another post .
  14. So is this a brand new attraction? Or just another stop on the tram route? I'm leaning towards the latter, but I'm just not positive. Either way, this sounds fantastic! I'm looking forward to the kind of awesome animatronics they'll have going for a ride like this.
  15. ^ They're only just now installing the panels, so there is still a chance we will see some sort of painting, or staining after they have been installed.
  16. I'll be there with a friend and my brother, we'll be getting a Q-Bot to beat the anticipated crowds.
  17. My bad, I knew I had read something before, but it must have slipped my mind. It should be interesting to see the final product after the media day coverage!
  18. I'm told they cannot start testing until 6pm. --Robb Do you know why that is?
  19. Nice update Sam, I miss my baby.. . I have to ride Medusa again before they Bizarro it!
  20. I'm really looking forward to this show, I have always loved the old movie and this show looks like it will be a lot of fun .
  21. Here's what I came up with: 850pph/24 = 35.4166667 which I then multiplied by 22 which = 779.166667 riders per hour? So, I would round it to around 780 riders per hour, obviously varying on the speed of the crew. Sound right?
  22. ^ It varies from day to day. But the Boardwalk (in my experiences) is not fully open until about an hour after the park.
  23. Great update, the ride looks fantastic! Only eight more days till I get out there...
