  1. Most coasters have trims.. honestly, it's not the end of the world. I'm not sure why most enthusiasts make such a big deal about them, as long as they aren't on the first drop.. ahem.. I'm fine with em.
  2. This one, right? I was tempted to buy it, cause it's a cool shirt. But not cool enough for me to spend ten bucks on it. I took this picture on my last visit to the park, in November.
  3. ^^ I thought that was merely concept art and wasn't in any official press release. This looks really nice! I love the idea for the queue, I'm surprised there has not been one like it yet. And it sounds surprisingly longer then I thought it would be, can't wait to see the layout.
  4. Definitely Batman: The Ride for me. After that would be.. 2. Top Gun 3. Deja Vu 4. Invertigo 5. Raptor 6. Silver Bullet 7. Kong I wasn't a big fan of Raptor, but I prefer it to Silver Bullet, and it's been ages since I last rode Kong.
  5. Looks like I'll finally have to drag my butt out there soon. It's only twenty minutes away!
  6. Yeah.. Putting Maverick in my backyard would be mine.. /sarcasm. I'd theme X2 to a secret government project of which you are the test crew. I always thought that would be a cool theme.
  7. I have a Tatsu, X, Deja Vu, Millennium Force, and Maverick t-shirts. However I've had several Disneyland shirts, a Medusa shirt, a couple other Marine World shirts (No Discovery Kingdom ones yet) and a Top Gun shirt. I need to go buy some more..
  8. You could fill a small book with all the Fahrenheit novels being posted these days.. nice work.
  9. That list you posted about the whole advertising campaign is great! I'm so proud of myself, finding out that Marty's email was registered by hershey was one of the things in red! /tooting his own horn. Great report, pictures, captions.. all that good stuff.
  10. Sweet trip report (pun intended, of course) good to hear you were able to get your ride on Fahrenheit. I'm disappointed I wasn't able to make it out there to meet the rest of the 11, but I'm glad you guys had fun . -Jake "Maybe next time!" Sundstrom
  11. *Spits soda all over keyboard* Lets not carried away, eh? I wasn't aware that this had such a high height requirement.. kind of kills the family aspect of the ride, doesn't it?
  12. I'm a big fan of Splash Mountain, not so much Timber Mountain Log Ride. But it's certainly better then Jet Stream, and the like.
  13. Thanks for the great pictures, Brent! It looks like a nice ride, and hopefully I'll be able to make it to Knott's with you on the 13th.
  14. Voodoo and Renegade are definitely up there, as is X2 and SIlver Bullet. Some I'm not a fan of are Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200 and any ride with the name "Coaster".
  15. I wasn't comparing or complaining, just stating an opinion. I never said anything negative about the ride, just that the effects seem a little random. If that's "Knee jerk complaining" then, what isn't?
  16. It all looks nice, but it feels a little random. I suppose I'm used to Disney rides where there is a "reason" fire is being blown at you. But this just feels like "How many gimmicks can we add to this ride while still staying within budget?" Nothing wrong with that, it just feels different to me then what I am used to. Looking forward to riding the new and improved X.
  17. Interesting that he mentioned having two hosts with him at all time. A friend and I were messing around on the Pirates Lair (Specifically in those tiny as hell caves) and we saw Jack interacting with a small boy without any "handlers" about. Boy: I'm looking for my mom. Jack: I'm looking for a bit of rum, lets look together, shall we? It was cool to see a character interacting with a guest that intimately - no crowds, no handlers, just them. I wish there was more of this at Disneyland. Great article, although you can't help but feel sorry for him, or I couldn't anyway.
  18. Sweet God, that's amazing! The theming on the main slide is absolutely phenomenal.
  19. Well it did rain in California this morning! Maybe they'll scrap it, I mean it looks like it's about to collapse anyway.
  20. Maybe it came down to a "Onboard Audio or Tunnels" if so, I'm glad they went with the audio!
  21. ^ Seriously. Hopefully the movie will be a success and then this show will kick Aladdin out of the oasis.
  22. Great pictures. I stayed at Castaway Bay when I went last year, brings back lots of memories! Mostly good ones.. mostly. Did you check out the water park (inside the hotel) while you were there? It was really nice if you decide to fit some time in for it. I still think it's stupid that it closes at the same time as the park, it means you have to lose some park time just to go to the water park. Oh well! Your comment about the girls in line for Mean Streak is one of the reasons I don't like Knott's Berry Farm anymore. Because it's like that on every ride, every visit, ever, always.
  23. ^ How do you know that? Unless the ride is open you can't be certain - can you?
  24. Space Mountain at Disneyland on Monday.
  25. If all of that ends up being true, it looks like this is one heck of a transformation! I'm curious to see what kind of audio will be played from the speakers..
