  1. Best steel: Xcelerator or Superman:EFK Worst steel: Matterhorn (AWFUL) or Green Lantern:FF Best wood: Apocalypse hands down. This thing hauls serious ass at night and has a pretty decent amount of airtime (2nd to Thunderhead for GCI's) Worst wood: Grizzly or Ghostrider but at least GR has an interesting layout and would be fun if it was smooth
  2. Question? Am I just dreaming or has Eejainaka always only had 5 rows? I thought it had at least 7 or 8 like X2?
  3. Goliath at SFOG for my last ride of the season....I think.
  4. I can somewhat agree with GL:FF. I just rode it at the beginning of October and even though it wasn't the roughest/most painful coaster I have been on, it was pretty damn bad. I had a bruise on my thigh from the OTSR and the fact that we never flipped. I also had the worst ear pain on one of the drops but it was inner ear and not from head banging. It was so forceful that it hurt inside my ears. How is that even possible on a coaster? I have never felt anything like that before and I wasn't the only one in my group that did. Suffice to say, only one person in my group rerode it again during our visit.
  5. I have picked up 63 new credits this year. Cedar Point-16 Conneaut Lake-1 DCA-2 Disneyland-5 Dollywood-1 Kennywood-7 Knott's Berry Farm-9 Pacific Park-1 SFMM-17 Waldameer-4
  6. ^ I agree with both of these. Just rode them both 2 weeks ago and Silver Bullet is my 4th fav invert now and Scream is a great floorless. I don't care much for floorlesses and having ridden Medusa and Bizarro, I didn't expect much but it was actually better than both of those.
  7. I will weigh in here. I think that if you can afford it that you should definitely do the drive. It is about a 4 hour drive from Atlanta so not terribly far. I think that if you hit SFOG first, then stop by Lake Winnie on the way to Dollywood and then head over to Carowinds, that would be your best route and the shortest drive between each park or you could do that backwards as well and make your return trip home shorter. As far as Carowinds as a park, it isn't the greatest park in the world but it definitely has some great rides. Afterburn and Intimidator are their best rides. The others may be a little lack luster but it is worth the trip if you are looking for the credits. I think that our park (SFOG) is a much better park but that is just my opinion. Others may disagree.
  8. I just got my 250th last week on Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland.
  9. Top Thrill Dragster A+ -It may be a one trick pony but that one trick is amazeballs. The only coaster that has made me scream that much in years. Maverick A -Amazing coaster that is top 10 worthy but a little neck choppy in places. They need to put the 305 restraints on this. Wicked Twister A -A really fun launched coaster but if you have ridden the other impulses then this is much the same. Millennium Force B- -This ride is REALLY overrated. Almost NO airtime and just speed which does not impress me. 305 is light years better. Gemini C+ -Great ride for it's age. Lot's of airtime but a few little rough spots. Mantis C+ -Maybe I caught it on a good day but this thing is really underrated. It is my 2nd fav stand up, right behind GA Scorcher. Blue Streak C+ -I was caught off guard by this. It was a great little woodie with some decent airtime. Disaster Transport C -One of the better bobsleds I have ridden. Magnum XL-200 D -Ouch, this thing was much rougher than I was expecting but gave some ejector airtime. Raptor D -VERY disappointed in this invert. I expected so much more from what I had heard but it was very rough. Mean Streak D -Better than I expected but still sucked. Woodstock Express D -It's a kiddy coaster so what can you expect but at least it is super smooth. Cedar Creek Mine Ride F -Terrible mine train. Iron Dragon F-- -Ugh, worst suspended ever! Corkscrew F------ -Really? Absolutely horrible! When you would rather ride a kiddy coaster than an adult coaster, that should tell you something. Wildcat was already torn down when I went and I couldn't ride Jr. Gemini.
  10. Hard to pick since I just went on a trip but a tie between Superman:EFK, Apocalypse and Xcelerator.
  11. California Screamin' after our California trip this past week.
  12. Don't watch videos on my computer and enjoy watching the RAW series with others, but I do not own blue-ray so I prefer the DVD's.
  13. ZOMG! That 3rd to last picture just made me crap my pants! This thing is going to be amazeballs! Can't wait to ride this next year....MIND=BLOWN!
  14. I am from GA and the Beast might make top 20. Pretty boring if you ask me, even if it was my 100th credit.
  15. I totally remember the Air Racer. Does anyone know if they used the same tower for Acro? It looks VERY similar and seeing that they are in the same exact spot, I wouldn't be surprised. It seems like Intamin likes to do that sort of thing.
  16. I have been on several racers and Lightning Racers is probably one of my least favorites. Yes, it has lots of interaction but what a boring coaster. Gemini is one of the better ones out there and I quite liked Racer at KI. It was really smooth and fun when I rode it a couple of years ago. I think Gwazi has a great layout but is too rough.
  17. A friend of mine talked to Melinda yesterday and the wheelie is going bye bye for sure and will be replaced with the sky screamer. Such a shame.
  18. I wouldn't bet on it. It is easily the most boring Intamin I've ridden.
  19. Come to Atlanta. We have Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse which is in an old abandoned hotel and Netherworld which is rated as one of the best in the US every year and is split into two haunted houses that are quite awesome!!!
  20. As much as I liked SkyRocket at Kennywood, these new Premeir trains are AWFUL! I liked the Mr. Freeze/FOF/Poltergeist trains much better. The new trains have those awful shin guards that I thought were going to break my shins with the crazy airtime SR had. Then the seats are about 3 inches from the seat in front of you and they are just not that comfortable at all. It was very hard to get in and out of the seats because of the restraints bolted into the floor. I wish they would go back to the old trains!
  21. If you are looking to just ride mostly coasters then I would get to the park before they open and be at the front gates when they open. Start with Dare Devil Dive. After that, head to the back of the park riding Superman, then Scream Machine and Ninja(if you don't care about credits then skip Ninja.) Then I would head back to the front riding Canyon Blaster, Mine Train, Cyclone, Scorcher,Goliath, Mindbender and Batman. If you follow this path then the only ride that might have a really long line is Batman.
  22. I have posted mine here before but I will add two that I have hit since.... 1. Not sure but probably Dahlonega Mine Train at SFOG 25. Not sure 50. Top Gun/Afterburn-Carowinds 75. Giant Dipper-SCBB 100. The Beast-Kings Island 150. Lightning Racers (Thunder)-Hershey Park 200. Magnum XL-200-Cedar Point (how fitting, just got this in June) 250. If I get all the credits on our California trip in October then I will hit 250 on the last coaster which will be at Disneyland and I will try to make it Matterhorn.
  23. John, great pics. I am glad you had fun at DSB. Sorry we couldn't make it this year. We were gearing up for our California trip. Hope to see you soon!
  24. New Texas Giant....smooth, amazing airtime, fast and just tons of fun!
