As does Wild Adventures (Ant Farm Express.) -
^I will second that opinion. I have hated the GC for a while now due to it being so rough. I was there yesterday with all my buds and decided to give it my yearly whirl after seeing the retracked parts and to be completely honest, I was very surprised at how well it was running. It was far from smooth but it definitely was (as Shivtim said) the best it has ridden in years. A lot of it smoothed out with the occasional bumb here and there. The 4th drop was awesome as usual in the back. Ejector Air! I was also pleasantly surprised at how light the crowds were yesterday. We rode all the majors in the park with a 10-15 minute wait, excluding DDD, which was an hour (mostly due to really slow ops and sending out trains with only 3 or 4 people in them.) Skyscreamer was looking good and almost finished. As for Ninja and it's broken lift, dear God let this be the straw that breaks the camels back, PLEASE!

When did you become an enthusiast?

I was like a lot of others in that I was afraid of coasters when I was little. Dahlonega Mine Train was my first coaster at about age 6 or 7 and I wasn't too fond of it. Around age 12 I really enjoyed it but was still scared to go on the bigger rides. At age 14 I tried Ninja (SFOG) for the first time and I loved it(don't ask me why now.) I rode everything else in the park that day. Ever since then I have loved coasters but I didn't become a full fledged enthusiast until around 2006 when I started travelling to ride coasters. Now I can't stop. -
CP, SFOT, SFGrAdv, SFDK, SFMM and SFOG are all great coming up their drives.

Damn, so stoked to ride this on our trip in October! The only thing I am kind of worried about is the little bar that is going to go across where your shins will be. Sky Rocket had those and they were really painful on the airtime bits and I think this thing is going to have way more airtime than Sky Rocket. Other than that, super stoked on this ride!!!

I would somewhat disagree that opening day is not busy. The past two years opening day has been so insane that unless you want to stand in 1-2 hour lines then I would not suggest opening day. Maybe the 2nd weekend would be the better time to go. For the first time ever I am actually not planning on going opening day this year(and I only live 8 miles from the park) because of the last 2 years of insanity. Sunday afternoons until summer starts are actually a great time to go.

I was there the first week in October on a Friday and we waited less time for all the other coasters than we did Riddler's (even X2 and GL:FF had shorter lines.) Had to wait almost an hour for RR and we rode it in the middle to make it a shorter wait. One train ops should never happen at a park like MM.

^ACTUALLY, they told us on the walk back of that tour that this was a footer for Freefall. So the person above you was correct. -
Might be a bad idea, you'd probably crash and die if you rode it right now. Ya know, cause it's not finished. I love how when I look at the ride pre-track I'm thinking "oh, they need to add some more supports to that section before track goes in" and then they just give me the finger and slap some rails right to the side of what's there. Look crazy. How did I know someone was going to say that. Smartass.
