  1. I thought Action Park was great. That is the only time that I have been to this park. Talk about a death trap. A person died from bungee jumping. A go-kart blew up. There was just so much insane junk that went on there. The slides just weren't safe at all I'm surprised that people didn't come away with worse than bruises and cuts. I have not been to the new Mountain Creek, but I did apply for a public relations position there. I'm crossing my fingers. And the water slides with the loop never opened. I'll look for the picture.
  2. I don't think this is much of a surprise. I think that the only launch coaster that hasn't experienced a great amount of problems is Storm Runner.
  3. Yeah, once he gets to college he will learn to load a washer up to the point that it might bust.
  4. That Thing You Do..... Love that movie
  5. one word tatsu One word: sarcasm
  6. Who even measures the detergent these days? I like to think of myself as the Emeril of laundry... I just eye it
  7. It wasn't so much the rides themselves that put the organization into debt, but it was more the operations of the parks and the head management throughout the chain.
  8. No disrespect or anything here in this post... There is an abundance of international workers at the park and a lot of them really had a hard time with English. I know that we had our run-ins with it this weekend and a lot of other people did too.
  9. With all of this teacher talk, I figured that I would bring this up. http://www.teachforamerica.org/flash_movie.html Teach for America is a very good program. You would have to teach for 2 years under the contract, however, your loans get deferred for that time, you receive a teacher certification before you start, and you will receive an MBA in your field of study. Not to mention, get some good pay for someone right out of college. Maybe that is something that some of you near these areas that are in need of teachers and where this program is available could look. I know that I have.
  10. Anything that comes with a hot pepper is fine by me. This isn't that big of a deal to me. If each can make a little bit of money off of it, then good for them. All of this Little Ceasar's talk reminds me of my days working at it as a summer job a couple of years back. I'm not even really sure if they still franchise out anymore. Maybe they do in other regions of the country.
  11. It's a baby Kingda Ka... why would you think it would be longer?
  12. My first coaster of the season will be this Sunday and I plan for it to be the same coaster that I started off with last year - Nitro. I might try to make it a little bit of a tradition.
  13. Did the ride close out of nowhere or was the closing announced? Just want to know a little more about the history of the ride, that's all.
  14. Let's see, I've been on 4 of those, but I voted for one that I have not been on by default... Thunderhead.
  15. Actually, I was wondering something a little along those lines. I'm planning a birthday thing for myself (I know, conceded) but anyway, I was wondering if I could post it on there to see if people would like to go. "Jay Willis Birthday Bash" at Lake Compounce would sould about right.
  16. Bullet proof glass Boxers or briefs?
  17. You Are Heineken You appreciate a good beer, but you're not a snob about it. You like your beer mild and easy to drink, so you can concentrate on being drunk. Overall, you're a friendly drunk who's likely to buy a whole round for your friends... many times. Sometimes you can be a bit boring when you drink. You may be prone to go on about topics no one cares about.
  18. ^ Right, but the coaster probably won't even be open by then. They might not have been expecting it to be open for opening day. I'll be at Great Adventure on Sunday.
  19. Hey buddy, don't be stealing my questions lol I like ice cream ASL?
  20. I always get mad at this kind of statement because it is so stereotypical. Other countries think that just because we are American, everyone sues everyone else. I have news: not all Americans sue. Wow. But I can see how this is relevant. There are a lot of lawsuits filed in the United States every year. There are a lot of reasons for it. Different situations and different people have different outcomes and different reasons for things. And no, I have never sued anyone. My parents never have either. Nobody within my immediate family has ever sued. Nobody in my close extended family have ever sued. And none of us have ever been sued. I actually was in court with my girlfriend because they had a lawsuit against them because of their dog, which if you knew the story and the people that filed it, you would think that it was ludacris, and the judge thought that way too.
  21. I've actually been waiting for one of these for a long time. Thanks a lot Robb!
  22. Mind Eraser at SFA, sponsored by Slim Jim The ride is painted yellow and orange
  23. Because Richard Simmons is gay Huh?
  24. At least you would get some use out of the drum. I would never put the coaster before that. Use your time and money in a good way.
