  1. Exactly what I was thinking. When I went to the park a couple of weeks ago I waited about 20 minutes for it and that was the longest line that I had to get through. Everything else was a walk-on and I didn't think that 20 minutes was bad at all considering I waited 2 hours for it last year. I think that this is an excellent value considering the wristband is less expensive than normal park admission and there are rarely any crowds.
  2. ^ You should listen to Larry's suggestions here people. He is like all about the food Center Stage Fries at Dorney Park "Handmade" Cheese Popcorn at Hersheypark Cesari's Pizza at Knoebels Veggie burger (I forget what food stand but it was American themed) at Lake Compounce Steamed Vegetables Meal with a Vegetable Eggroll at any Wok-n-Roll Veggie Sub at Nitro Grille + Butterfly Cut Fries (near Nitro) at Great Adventure Corn Chowder at Allentown Fair Those are just a few, and I figured I would give a vegetarian prospective too Although, none of it is healthy at all What else can you expect from amusement parks though Stupid me.
  3. Yup. Once they saw wood, their minds went loopy.
  4. Ok, I get that. Dorney is my homepark and I love that park too. You can only get so original when it comes to "flats". Plus I'm sure that in the planning process they didn't know that there would be this surge in Scream' Swings being built. I don't know about Cedar Point sometimes. I mean, do they have a scrambler? And I'm still waiting on the Top Spin too. I don't get it sometimes, but this is a fine addition in my opinion.
  5. First off there is a discussion about this ride already... but I'm going to post here because this kind of thing really makes me mad. Are you Ohio people mad just because this is not a coaster!? Give me a break. Sure, I don't think this is as good of an addition as MaXair last year, but it is still good, not to mention different than MaXair. The restraints and everything else about the ride really make it a totally different experience. And give me a break about the "glory" of having the biggets Screamin' Swing. Who cares? It is just a marketing ploy. It is not that big of a deal and is not intended for anykind of "glory". Give me a break. I love Cedar Fair and their parks, but it is people like you that really make people look down upon those who favor the company.
  6. 4:00 PM EASTERN TIME 10/31/05 Last I knew, that was 6 hours ago
  7. It said that this will be over at 4, but nothing has been posted to stop so I will post mine... 1. A 2. C 3. B 4. H 5. B 6. B 7. A 8. G 9.B
  8. Herhsey is the obvious answer to that. What is wrong with Dorney though? I'm not one to be sad about not getting credits, I'm just sad that I wasn't able to experience what the park was about, not to mention see what Cyclone was all about.
  9. Roar at Six Flags America. Pretty good ride, but nothing spectacular. Unfortunately I have no pictures because I forgot batteries
  10. I don't know, I kind of believe it. The rumor that was going around was that they would get a Mr. Six clone. Although Ultra Twister isn't exactly a family oriented ride like a spinning mouse, it is a small footprint so in that respect it would kind of match up. I know that I would get down there to ride it if this is the truth because I'm very interested in old Great Adventure rides and I was never able to ride this one.
  11. You don't know what it is like until you have ridden a good set of flying scooters. All of the explanations in the world don't matter until you have experienced it for yourself.
  12. The track is much different. The restraints on the Flying Dutchman is much, well, for lack of a better term, cheaper looking. On the Vekoma you lie down going up the lift hill whereas on the B&M flyer you are put into the flying position in the station and are in the flying position all the way up the lift. So far I think the Vekoma versions are much more elaborate in terms of the layout, but hopefully Tatsu will really blow things out of the water and have those 5-7 inversions and extra turns. The B&M's are also kind of smoother, but that is really not a surprise. That is basically all I can think of now and I'm sure someone else will give a better explanation. I guess that is just a basic overview.
  13. No such thing as a wooden overbank? I'll let you research that a little bit.
  14. So wait, you look at it like a mix of BGW and Coney Island... BGW just put in a dark ride and Coney Island has the boardwalk atmosphere which is totally dark ride-ish. I'm confused. Anyway, I really don't think I'm buying into the drop tower thing and that explanation of the being in the dark thing is just dumb. We will see tomorrow though. I'm sure it will be a Sally, and I have a good feeling that it will be that double tracked car themed ride also.
  15. I'm sure it couldn't have been that bad of damage. I was really worried when this was a Category 5, but luckily it weakened a good amount. I just hope it is nothing big and everything will be fine with the parks.
  16. I think it is all about the original... Medusa at Great Adventure.
  17. ^^ Hey now, haven't you ever heard of Vekoma Just kidding of course... Anyway, this is such crap This kind of thing doesn't even make me laugh anymore, they just make me shake my head.
  18. I have known about this for the last month and a half or so. It is really sad. It really makes me mad too because on the day of the Coaster Zombies event there this September I got a flat tire the night before and wasn't able to make it. Really made me mad
  19. The best that I have experienced was on J2 (formally known as Tsunami). Now I can't wait until El Toro.
  20. It will probably be down because of the rain, like said. It definately has been running pretty well though. It's like its Halloween costume is that of a reliable coaster.
  21. I'm at the one place that I would hate to be.... Six Flags New England
  22. Steel Force baby. Great ride yesturday on that thing.
  23. Haven't these people ever heard of a 5 year plan? Anyway, I actually wouldn't be surprised if things are not completely figured out yet. I mean, there is a park closing which offers a good deal of rides to other parks and the way the corporation is in disarray, I wouldn't be shocked if they came out and said "Yeah, we have no clue what we are doing." But yeah, I'm sure they know it all. That is what PR is all about. Pretty sad that is what I'm going to be like next year... you can all yell at me when you get an email back from me
  24. I don't really know if it is Intamin wood, but that is what a few people told me it looked like. Anyway, what you said exemplifies Curtis Summers and the Dinn Corporation. Well, mostly Curtis Summers.
  25. Is that really still in court? Man. Whatever the outcome is I'm sure the company is not going to be a company anymore. I don't even remember what company it is anymore, so that really can't be a good sign As for the ride, I personally think it is going to be a Sally ride of some sort. I just think that it will fit with the park well.
