  1. ^I'm skeptical. If you're curious at what he saw check page 106. The guy who did the No Limits based his design on that sketch made from the courthouse. If he's right, he's got a good "I told you so!"
  2. Someone's already made the claim to have seen the layout at the county courthouse.
  3. Wes, do you think Maverick's heartline roll will try to follow us on the Texas trip? It'll keep missing us at each park we go to then become suicidal as its forces are just too much for this world.
  4. I'll be making my first visit to the park next week as part of the TPR Texas trip. I'm really looking forward to Krypton Coaster! I'm not much of a show kind of guy so I'll probably abstain. I'm also curious to see if Rattler is as painful as advertised.
  5. ^Looks like we're thinking along the same lines. I think of "busts" as something that doesn't live up to its hype. I remember loving Shockwave and Anaconda back in the day but they've grown mediocre or worse over the years. Hurler was alright at the time but even back then I was kind of meh about it.
  6. I've always felt that Volcano is about 800 feet and a couple of elements short of being a top 10 coaster. That said, I'm still a huge fan of it. I really don't know what other coasters qualify as busts but there are quite a few I wouldn't mind seeing replaced--Shockwave and Hurler come immediately to mind.
  7. ^Just curious, but what other KD rides do you consider busts? The big one that comes to my mind is Hypersonic.
  8. ^I always got the feeling that MF wasn't really about airtime and more the sensation of speed, which I don't mind too much.
  9. I'm getting the feeling that if I want to go to this park I better do it this summer.
  10. I'm still just a couple shy of 20 wooden coasters, but El Toro for me. Looking forward to some of the Texas woodies next week.
  11. There's already tak that this could be Big Bad Wolf's last year. I guess I need to get to Cedar Point, Kings Island, and Magic Mountain before their respective Arrow Suspendeds bite the dust.
  12. ^^Although somebody mentioned going to the Hanover County courthouse and snagging a picture of the layout. The No Limits design was based on that picture. Take that for what it's worth. I won't believe anything until an official announcement.
  13. Mine will be Six Flags over Texas on the Texas TPR trip. This will also be my first park trip of the year as well and I should hit my 100th credit as well! looking forward to it!
  14. ^It depends on how you track your coasters. I've ridden both and count it as one. Others might count it as two.
  15. Yeah--I'm actually really looking forward to this ride on the trip in a couple of weeks. Hope it's running then.
  16. This is the link the guy in kdfansite's forums gave for his rendition of the coaster: http://www.theoverprivileged.com/coasters/KD-Giga-Coaster2.nltrack Someone in those forums made a rough sketch of what he thought the layout was, based on seeing some document at the Hanover County Courthouse. The No Limits is based on that sketch.
  17. ^Not sure but I think No Limits helped on this one.
  18. Wild Maus was approximately where Curse of Darkastle is. I believe Die Wildkatze was where Big Bad Wolf lies. Not sure about the other two a part of me would guess that either Das Katchen or Glissade was where they eventually put Wild Maus.
  19. ^^^ I rode it in 2007 and liked it. The most widely criticized claim that it's "forceless" is one that I agree with though.
  20. I went on a bad date one time to Extreme Pizza. The pizza's neither extreme nor very good. I'm sure you saw some interesting people at the Village. I spent New Year's there once and if we hadn't known the bartender I probably would have gotten kicked out. That area on Chamberlayne is tres shady. Sorry for you guys.
  21. How long did you stay at Camden? I was thinking about going there at some point just for the two credits and the Whip.
  22. It was confirmation to me that Satan is real and his power is growing. Until Cedar Fair said "Take that, Satan! Not on our watch!"
  23. ^ Sounds like the burning/stinging sensation we've all been looking for in a coaster.
  24. ^ Is it enough to get you to come and ride White Water Canyon?
