  1. My list is very short... Avalanche (PKD) Disaster Transport (CP) I voted for Avalanche!
  2. My wife went through a very trying pregnancy, (58 hours of labor before eventually having our daughter by c-section...no joking!). The recovery was hard, and it knocked her out of riding most of the season, but she has since recovered and loves coasters as much as ever.
  3. While I haven't ridden one yet, I've heard about 'em. Yet, when I get down to Beech Bend this year I really want to ride the thing! I'm actually looking forward to it.
  4. Steel - T2 @ Kentucky Kingdom Wood - Hurler @ King's Dominion I don't know if these would rank as the roughest/worst for me, but I sure do remember them for those reasons.
  5. Cedar Point wins my vote overall! But I love Geauga Lake from the waterpark side at dusk. http://www.geaugalaketoday.com/Desktops/Skyline%20Sunset%20800.jpg Seeing the Voyage pushing up over the trees is awesome, then put it in perspective with the size of the trees...it gets an intimidating feel.
  6. To us in the region it'll always be Hellevator. People have known it for way too long as Hellevator for them to successfully change the name now!
  7. And after watching the video with the fathers comments I could only think one thing. Tigger attacked the wrong person, he should've went for the dad. I couldn't believe the title they had for the article on one news service. "When Disney characters attack!", (I wish I was kidding).
  8. I think it would be a blast to ride at a park. I could see it at a park Water Country USA, it could compliment Hubba Hubba Highway very nicely. I love the concept of the "Bonus Round" chute. If they can afford it another place that could benifit from this company might be the Beach Waterpark, (in Mason, OH next to PKI). That park is in need of serious updating. I've frequented the place since I was young, and it sucks to see it like it is. I know they couldn't afford to remodel the entire park, but just a few of this companies offerings could give it new life. I would love to to see some some park take a gamble on that pinball/pirate water ride though.
  9. Man, what were you 8-9 yrs. old? Still very creative. When the dino stuck his head up about mid-point in the video I had a flashback from "Land Of The Lost". I love the warp speed and the bit of stop-motion with Chip. You have a talent for this sort've thing!
  10. Is there anybody here in the forums that is local to Dollywood who could tell about the progress with MM? My reason for asking is that we plan to go down the first week of April, and are wondering what the chances are of it being open by then? It won't make or break our trip, but it would be nice to ride it. If not, there's still Thunderhead
  11. - Up at CP I always suggest Chet & Matt's pizza. There have a great daily pizza buffet! Once you leave the CP causeway it's about 5 min. away. Located off Milan Rd., (which is the main drag through Sandusky where all the restaurants/waterpark resorts are at). - If the weather is rotten any particular day Castaway Bay & Kalahari will often have day passes for sale, (just be aware that how many passes available are determined by their vacancy that day). CB is pretty nice, but Kalahari exceeded my expectations...really nice. - Soak City is always nice too, but in comparison to Geauga's waterpark it's somewhat outdated. But then again, GL's waterpark is only about 2 years old too. Soak City is an up-charge in most cases. However GL and PKI are still two waterparks included in admission price if I read the details right. - May and early-June are really good times attendance wise. If you go early in May you may want to pack for the weather too. One day can be 75/sunny, and the next 50/rain. - Rock-N-Roll Hall can be fun if you know your music. There are parts that the everyday music fan may find uninteresting. But if you love rock!...you'll love the Hall. Don't know if things have changed since I was there last, but when I was there last time no cameras of any type were permitted. They have an area where they make you check all cameras. - PKI just welcomed the opening of the newest Great Wolf Lodge right next door to the park. If money is not an option this place looks awesome.
  12. My goal is to add 15-20 credits to my count this season. Were looking in a couple of different directions right now. 1) Wisconsin Dells / Great America 2) Hersheypark / Great Adventure 3) Kennywood / Hersheypark ...we haven't decided as of yet what were going to do. Any suggestions to these ideas? I'll be at CP for sure to ride Maverick, and I'd love to get down to Beech Bend to ride Kentucky Rumbler.
  13. Absolutely the best video I've seen in forever. Very creative! And as has been mentioned over and over, great gags, (esp. the DL castle bit). Also liked the Elissa wallpaper, as well as, the "acceptable amount of water" bit.
  14. I've heard about the park in the past, and thanks to you, I can now get a better idea of how it looks. What a beautifully themed park! Too bad my chances of ever getting there are pretty slim. Great TR though!
  15. You are very lucky to have a mom that'll go to parks with you. My mom still gets woozy just watching coasters or spin-n-puke rides. Great TR, never see much, (at least IMO), of Hershey or Dorney.
  16. I've needed a good laugh...and you supplied! Poor Dan. The poor guy just wants to be dry! The Caseyfish...I Love it! Ryan can't even escape Casey in the comics.
  17. I would think you'd have to take a taxi to get there, unless you stay at a hotel that has shuttle to and from the train station/PKI. PKI does have a drop-off lot underneath the main marquee, but I've never known any public transportation that goes back to Cincy but cabs. But most important, if SOB is your sole purpose for coming down, wait until next season, SOB isn't expected to run again until next season at it's soonest. It has been seen testing again, but to our knowledge it's never been released back to PKI by the state from it's investigation.
  18. Great TR Cameron! Now my lust for IB is greater than ever. You gave me some advice about the park earlier in the year, and I said I was going to get there...guess what? End of the season, and another year without IB! And I could really kick myself because I talked to my wife for weeks about the coaster weekend, then got busy and forgot all about it! So what did I do this weekend? Spent another Saturday at PKI, (about the 10th one this season already). Aaaaaughhh!
  19. The Legend @ HW! But no complaints here, I think it's a great way to end such an intense coaster.
  20. I love GL. Never been out of N. America, but that park looks awesome. I can agree withthe IB comparisons though. I also love that pic with the sunset on the swing ride. Never get tired of seeing Tusenfryd either.
  21. I don't think I'm saying anything new here, but if CF will let Mean Streak, and up until about three years ago let Hercules continue to run...I don't think they'll be in any hurry to tear down SOB. To build the thing and maintain it for the past six years has been a 30 million + investment. I don't think we'll see it open any time soon though. Great TR though, it's my home park, and I don't think I've heard someone speak so positively about PKI in while. Glad you enjoyed it!
  22. The only thing I can see I don't like about this park is the tackiness of the Disko. If they could eliminate the sign and do a custom paint job on it it would be great. As for the park as a whole...Oh My God!! The only other thing I could think was that this looks like Roller Coaster Tycoon come to life! Incredible looking.
  23. Say bye-bye to the knees! Maybe more. ...another ride we'll never see...SON OF THE SON OF BEAST!
