  1. Sorry about the double post. Bling is so ugly and suffers from an awful name, I think this one is way more badass looking.
  2. I have the iKirmes DVD and it shows High Energy running a long program with various different moves. I'm hoping this one is run better than Bling as I will most likely ride that one first.
  3. Nice photos, especially that second one of Alpengeist. I haven't been to BGE in a while and I think that long railroad bridge where they're building Griffon is my favorite area of the park (scenic-wise) I have a much better idea of where the ride is now. Ohhh... and I have to ask: Do they still sell pins for the coasters there? I wondered if you happened to see them in the gift shops around th epark.
  4. You guys in CT have some LOOOOONG haunted houses. It takes like half an hour to get through LC's haunted graveyard!
  5. Bling is one of two Zierer "Star Shape" flat rides. The other is "High Energy" and travels the German fair circuit. It's the flat I want to try out the most.
  6. It's good to see people are still making awesome RCT2 parks, keep up the good work!
  7. Just get a season pass, you live so close! Let everyone else buy you a new coaster.
  8. CP wouldn't build another megacoaster at the park when they have Millennium Force a stone's throw away.
  9. I like halloween events/ haunted houses almost as much as coasters and thrill rides. I've been thru... All of HHN XI, XIII, XIV, XV, Basically every haunted house in New England around October. So far the best is Pitch Black from XI.
  10. Fire = Slight inverted airtime goodness.
  11. Great report, great photos. Europa is second on my must-see parks list right behind Disney Sea and right after Holiday Park. I really need to think about getting to Germany, I even have family there on Rammstein AF base.
  12. Ultimate Spidey for PS2, trying to pass the time at work...
  13. 311 Used to be the band orgy until they released their last awful album... 311's kept up over the years. Going to finally see them in person this year.
  14. Excellent TR, funny stuff. About the pandas... They had a big exhibit when I went a few years ago and they must have that indoor area for the purpose you mentioned. It was so cool seeing them up close. A lot of people will never get to see them.
  15. ^ Now THAT is looking too far into it... That is interesting about the supports though, this thing's going up pretty quick.
  16. Hell yeah! Another return of Eddie, count me in! Run was one of my favorites but Eddie was never in the original thanks to 9-11.
  17. I agree that Ka should be done before El Toro especially if you don't have a qbot. While they both suffer from Intamin's pushing-the-envelope breakdowns, Ka is usually open first, breaking down sometimes every 20 minutes. Get in line quick and just wait it out. If you're one of the first there, you may still have to wait an hour+ due to the fact that they often load a train, send it out onto the launch run, pull it back due it again, switch a train, etc... El Toro does block testing for a couple hours and I would guess that it usally opens around noon or so. Nitro and Superman should also be crowded, and the other two beemers, while popular won't have nearly as bad a line. Stay cool, drink lots of water, some of the lines have no shade.
  18. Isn't this like the third topic on this coaster? It's all but confimed that this is a B&M Dive Machine, possibly modified with new trains. Like he said, the plot of land is way too big, they wouldn't remove such a large footprint attraction for a drop tower. Plus, there's not much you can do to beat PKD's drop tower.
  19. You guys have a Huss Flipper in SFM and it's themed to "Crazy Pineapples"?? Such a rare ride, I'd love to try it out. Haven't been on one since the 90's. Let's see, what else to note on... Superman is a sexy Morgan. Have you been on any other Morgan hypercoasters, could you compare them? Is Vudu a Huss Frisbee? It looks very well themed. They have quite a nice collection of flat rides judging from the pics, looks like a great park. Can't believe that first pic, hehehe...
  20. Dude, did they paint Kong ANOTHER color scheme already or is that just the photo?
  21. What is gwr?? I would also like to see this video, please. It's too bad this type of inversion didn't make it to other coasters.
  22. I have footage of at least half a dozen zippers, they're VERY common in the northeast. We even had one that came through my hometown which has got to be the smallest town of the smallest state (Warren, RI) but it actually had an accident, I believe a cotter pin snapped and the entire carnival stopped coming... We still have a different one that comes to nextdoor Bristol though around the 4th of July. Anyways, I have footage of Strates, Reithoffer, Conklin, Fiesta, and a few other's colorful Zippers which I think you'll like. These are at the Brockton Fair, Bristol Carnival, Big E, and the NY State Fair. I'll try to throw a quick video together when I get a day off. (I'm in the middle of three consecutive doubles)
  23. FEar and Loathing in Las Vegas is one of my favorite movies, I love HST. More people I know hate it than love it.
  24. If you want a positive review of Knott's from an EC'ers perspective, dig through and look for my "ECZenith's Huge Cali Trip" TR. I LOVED the place on my first time visit. The dark ride was outstanding, they have my favorite water ride (PP), and IMO the best rocket coaster in America at least.
  25. Damn... that inversion looked awesome. For those who have ridden it, besides the extreme forces, was the ride rough/painful? Not that it matter since it's gone but just curious...
