The part when the model coaster catches on fire was too funny. I was at work and just happened to see it on the tv, and I was shocked to see it was an episode about coasters! They have now officially ripped on EVERYTHING.

Cool report! The park looks really great all decked out for Halloween! Remember my pins if you happen to go back to BGE! If you could do that for me, that is... Could you elaborate on the Pompeii maze? Does it lead up to the ride (do they just theme up the queue?) and do they change the ride experience at all for Halloween?

I LOVE mine of lost souls, definately a quality dark ride, glad you checked it out. I definately should have made it up there this year, but there just wasn't anything new for me to check out. I'm going to go in the spring whenever the extreme frisbee is ready.

There was definately a bus or a truck in the fright yard scarezone that year but I'm not sure which it was.

Just recently saw this name used in an RCT park but it would be a good fit for a multidimensional coaster... Paradox. I also think the name "Axis" would be cool for a 4D coaster.

RC, first of all welcome! I too post at HHN Vault (under this same name) Just wanted to clear up that "People Under The Stairs" is based off a popular old horror movie and isn't some random theme.

They made up an entire story with a new pirate theme for all three Pirate movies (3rd's on the way...) Yes they used some of the scenes from the ride in the movies but the only thing that was really the same was the name and the fact it had to do with Pirates... While the Jungle Cruise ride doesn't have much of a storyline I'm sure they will have a completely different story that doesn't have much to do with the ride itself.

That's so close to where I went to boot camp (MCRD Parris Island, SC) I could actually see Hilton Head from the barracks. They told all the recruits not to try to swim away to escape as there are gators in the water. Guess they weren't kidding!

Thanks for the comments, which effects are you talking about for the Spidey dark ride? There are quite a few... I would of course be happy to assist you, just don't know exactly what it is you're talking about. In a couple of days all of these buildings should be highly detailed. I've taken some suggestions and fixing up some of my blocky buildings with more detail. Effects like this?

I've gotta say... this year's HHN website is the best one yet. There's STILL stuff changing on the site and the event is right around the corner. 6 more days for me!

People make up stupid rumors like that because of pure jealousy of their travels and superior website. As far as my favorite typical line-goer comment- the ones where people see inverted coasters for the first time and say: "Oh mah gawd they start off upside down???" Best one was great bear at Hersheypark, this guy's jaw hit the floor when he first saw it.

What a tool... where is the shame in all this? These people that move next to theme parks and cry about it just need to gather themselves and replant on some remote island.

On a related note-As the last phase of Boston's "big dig" project which is already way behind schedule and way over budget, they want to build a short meglev rail connection between South and North stations connecting the Northeast Corridor with the northern routes through northern mass/NH/Canada. It would be more of a showcase of technology than a great convenience. You currently have to take two seperate subway routes to get between the stations...

At SFNE we have "the Superman guy". For all 4 of my visits to SFNE this season I have seen him there. Always wears a blue Superman tee complete with a little red cape. You can see him from a mile away with his huge sideburns. He always talks to whoevers near him in line, but he always comes to the park by himself. Oh well, he's having fun... I think someone on the site actually has a photo of him.

I just read about this today, very sad news. The maglev train crashed into a maintenance vehicle head on that was not supposed to be on the tracks at the time. There were 21 fatalities out of 29 passengers as most of them were riding up front for the demonstration.
