  1. Just came back from SFMM and I have to say Tatsu looks SINISTER peeking out from above the trees with the red neon lighting and the photo spot flashing like lightning every time a train passes. Night rides are 110% better on this beast, IMO. I think MF should get some credit for the cool lights on the lift towers.
  2. Interesting photos, thanks for sharing. <--- Also notinced the generic baby.
  3. SFA's SROS doesn't touch SFNE's but it's still an excellent coaster. Erik... I went to SFA a couple years ago and the longest line in the park was for Batwing, the park's Vekoma flying dutchman. SROS had a half hour wait (this was a Sunday in the Spring) but Batwing's was well over an hour and moved slow. JJ, TwoFace and the others seemed to move pretty quickly so I suppose you should hit Batwing first just in case.
  4. S&S Turbo Drops or Combo Drops/any Intamin drop ride that holds you at the top of the tower. I always feel like I'm going to be stuck up there for eternity. <----- Terribly afraid of heights for prolonged periods of time.
  5. Awesome photos... makes me want to go to TDS so badly for Journey and Indy.
  6. Wow, really nice Volcano pics. I also really like the "motion pics" of Tomb Raider. What is your opinion of the floorless/suspended Huss top spin? I'm riding one next week at Knott's and don't know what to expect. Is it a fairly comfortable ride?
  7. I could never appreciate some of the "cardboard-cutout" props on some recent Disney dark rides. They more than make up for it with rides like ToT and Everest but still...
  8. While they're at it I wish they would remove the pink paint from Nitro's rails. Chang looks awesome with the straightup yellow/blue combination, plus I can't stand pink...
  9. Aren't they building some kind of huge mall/shopping center in Valencia? That's probably what that is. I remember reading it somewhere. I live on the east coast... why do I know this?
  10. Sweet! All these updates are getting me excited about my trip. Can't wait for Ali to snap some of those views. Hey Robb did you get my PM? You guys gonna be at the park on Saturday?
  11. Nice TR. Glad to see SWAT is still running without any major problems. Last week it stalled nearly vertical. What's going on with Mind Eraser still closed? Any chance they might paint it all Tatsu-ish like SFA's?
  12. Phew... good thing I've got two hours ERT next Sunday. Should be awesome riding at night! I'm also curious as to how long the wait has been, with the dual loading station and all.
  13. I also choose SFNE's SROS. I've been on it hundreds of time and I don't see myself getting sick of it anytime soon.
  14. Thanks James, hope you enjoyed your birthday as well. (For my bday I'm flying myself to LA for DL, KBF and SFMM!!) While I'm off topic... Jakizle you live in Jamestown RI?? Small world. I live in Warren (near Bristol) ___ Back to the subject... Whatever it is CP gets I just hope it has inversions, and maybe an interesting inversion. Cedar Point hasn't gone upside down in a decade of adding new coasters. (Mantis 1996)
  15. I get to see the infamous hallway for myself next week... I've only been on the WDW version... Thanks for the construction update Ork.
  16. They're probably just trying to keep the track protected for when they add rockwork/theming. Thanks for the photos BTW!
  17. Why not a red wing walker? Despite all the aqua trax rumors I really feel this is going to be a prototype. Not too big, but interesting.
  18. Wow... seeing the Virtual Boy as a classic makes me feel old... I'm looking forward to the Wii more than PS3... I'm happy with my 360 for next gen graphics. Thanks for the report Rob!
  19. Wow, it actually has some pretty neat special effects... looks like it's a good size too.
  20. I really like the layout of Skycar. It's the way an accelerator should be. Launch, top hat, loop, airtime hill. Glad someone was able to get good pictures of both of these coasters. Looks like a nice park!

  22. When I first rode Mission Space I felt let down... The g's during the "launch" were cool but I guess I let the hype get the best of me. I went in with high hopes and walked away kind of "meh"... I'm not saying it's a bad ride, I just don't see what all the fuss is about. It's my third favorite thing at Epcot. I prefer Test Track and Soarin' . Don't worry about the intensity, if you can handle most spin n spews you'll be able to take the intense part easily. Also... this has just been my opinion, go in with an open mind of course!
  23. Now that that the coaster portion is completed... I can't see where the coaster will zip outside as seen in the model/concept art.. Has this element been cancelled?
  24. Alpengeist was slowed down dramatically but I guess the worst of all is SFNE's Cyclone. Still rough... just not as good after several "projects" were done on it. I love the new trains though.
