  1. The pictures of the track pieces compared to the truck show you just how massive the 4D track really is.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfPbmQ3J4FQ
  3. An amusing update as always! Good to see Culkin is actually finding work.
  4. Stingrock, Everest is a Vekoma, but the track is a completely new design. Vekoma also designed the REALLY light cars to make for a longer train, hence shorter waits in line.
  5. KMG Tangos are insane. -You stand up on a bicycle type seat, not as uncomfortable as it looks, actually because you have little "foot pod" things to hold up some of your weight. -Besides being elevated so high, the thing moves you on three different axes at once. It seems uou're upside down as much as you're right sid eup. -The one that comes through Brockton Mass has a pretty long ride cycle, and at night the visuals are insanity... It's actually pretty re-rideable though... belive it or not.
  6. A lot of the clues are indicating that this will most likely be an Intamin Wingwalker. The recent video released by Intamin is NOT for Port Aventura or Cedar Point but shows off the maneuvers the train is capable of making. I'll be very surprised to see ANYTHING else just because the clues have been solved, and the shape of the track is proving it further. -The ride is suspended over the sides of the track and launched by electromagnetics. Okinawaboy has a good point, it most likely means feet-dangling and even moreso a launch rather than a large drop. -The concept video for the wingwalker shows low to the ground barrel rolls and carving turns, hence the "sidewinding" clue. -It's KNOWN this is an Intamin concept coaster and this type is the only one that makes sense. -Over and around the water is the perfect spot for a coaster focusing on multiple but low inversions like I believe this coaster will have. It's a "whole new direction" going for inversions... Again, I just find this thread to be fun, not trying to disprove anyone but some of the rumors are just silly.
  7. Wow, they squeezed quite a few cool elements into such a compact space! I can't wait to try out any Euro Fighter... looks like the first one I'll get to try is Dollywood's Mystery Mine next year.
  8. With a limited time to work with, I would get some flashpasses if the park shows any signs of being busy. X,Goliath,Tatsu and Riddler can get some pretty long lines, even if it's not the weekend... and unfortunately X doesn't have flashpass and it's a must-ride!
  9. It should also be noted that Raptor can get busy earlier in the day as it's right in the front of the park. I would suggest hitting this and then Mantis and then the back half of th epark.
  10. I'm going to agree with Jakizle... SROS, as it gets closer to the end, the air time gets more and more intense with it really pickin gup in the middle of the ride, and then two final ejectors right before the brake run.
  11. I wouldn't worry about the storage space determining the size of the coaster. As new pieces come in for storage, older pieces leave the lot to be put in place.
  12. Disney/MGM's Rock 'n Roller Coaster Haven't ridden Everest yet, and I love Aerosmith and LIMs.
  13. <---- see avatar It's funny to everyone's hands go down after the final banked turn as everyone braces for the magnetic brakes which are smooth but still manage to slam you against your restraints.
  14. OoOooo the boats are so well detailed! Do the lanterns really light up? This ride looks killer, hope I get out there someday...
  15. Sorry, no indoor rides... They used to have an indoor Chance wipeout but it sucked so they replaced it with a meet 'n greet. Waaaaaay back they had a dark boat ride which later became a "jungle cruise" ripoff, which later became Shipwreck Falls.
  16. The mid-course looking section is most likely an evac platform in case the coaster vallies, like X has done frequently.
  17. I know this isn't exactly on topic, please forgive my ignorance... But is there any recent word on when the TPR trip to Japan might take place? I know the Alveys are still busy with the UK trip, but I'm 100% going to go on the Japan trip... just wanted to know when abouts it might be...
  18. It just seems like they extend the existing theming every time it's at IOA... Marvel... Industrial Wasteland Toon... Wacky Cartoons Gone Wrong, etc. Jurassic Park... Evil Jungle Land Lost Continent... Evil Lost Civilization Suess... Never did understand this one around Halloween... It's hard turning an island so well-themed into something else, so to me it always seems repetitive. When you start with a neutral environment and turn it into something completely twisted, it makes i tmore interesting. Just my .02
  19. Interesting video. I agree it doesn't look official but it looks like something rushed to get the concept of the train out. I'm sure there will be better videos of both Aventura's and Cedar Point's Intamins upon announcement times.
  20. Man whatever this thing is, it's going to look great right on the water.
  21. The trains look great now that I can finally see all the details.
  22. Great to see a video for this new concept. It won't be long before parks and fairs start buying them up!
  23. Yup, also see the size difference...
  24. From the video, the Japanese version looks pretty similar to Florida's (which is the only one I've actually been on) IOA's version has the entire "island" as its setting, so I'd imagine it's the better of the three, although I believe Cali's has some different effects. What say you Californians?
