  1. You can tell right away that it's different becuae SM actually has two lifts. It goes up th efirst, and then makes a 180 to go up the next. God.. an enclosed windstorm would be awful compared to what it is already.
  2. Even more track is up as of the 20th... http://www.photosmagiques.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=195
  3. http://www.photosmagiques.com/gallery/tot_construction/Dsc07280 Paris version is starting to come along nicely.
  4. Alpengeist was FAST before they braked it, going through the inversions at that speed was just WOW. Nowadays... SFGADV's Batman TR still delivers.
  5. I really didn't care for Kong... The only cool part was the HUGE animatronic at the very end. The ride vehicle system was really neat though. At least there's still the Cali version... and we here on the east coast still have ET.
  6. I thought it was me... (<--uses Firefox) At least everything's working now.
  7. That place was cool but very expensive. I'd rather see it stay there, however, than an ESPN Zone.
  8. I'm heading back up to SFNE on May 7th hoping to ride Catapult... To those who have been since I posted this TR... has it been running efficiently now? Is there a good chance I can get on it now?
  9. It's basically a larger version of SFMM's X. There are some differences, including a full-full instead of the half-half. The track twists 360 degrees horizontally and the seats flip 360 degrees vertically. It's gonna be one sick little monkey of an inversion.
  10. Nice pictures! I have been on Skyrider, King Cobra and Shockwave. While they're not the smoothest rides in the country, they arent as bas as a lot of people make them out to be. I never realized Shockwave had that crazy paintjob... it's obviously been a while since I've seen PKD for myself.
  11. All Star Music... because it's the only one I've ever stayed at. I was considering staying at the Paradise Pier hotel at Disneyland for my trip this May... but with the money I'm saving I can put it towards another "out of my time zone" trip.
  12. I got on SFNE's Typhoon twice last summer and the line was usually 45 minutes or so. Probably one of my favorite waterslides. That, and Summit Plummet at WDW. SFNE's Hurricane Harbor has consistently added new slides over the last few years, great waterpark. Great variety of slides.
  13. BGA's Scorpion, and then 20 minutes later... Kumba.
  14. Here's a new pic of my old favorite...
  15. I was in the South End getting by B&M fix when the exact same thing happened. I got stuck in the tiny parade and tried to cross over to the DC area when I realized there was a lovely wall blocking the bridge off. (WHY???) Luckily the parade passes in about 30 seconds... I really hope they get Catapult running properly within a couple weeks.
  16. I know you were asking rollermonkey, but I can comment... My girlfriend has learned some Japanese pretty quickly. (Don't think she could carry out a conversation yet but it's doable) She reads these books in Japanese and the same book is written in Englsih on the other side. It seems to work really well in learning another language!
  17. Wow, I gotta try that Intamin pretzel loop.
  18. Ahh, I missed Catapult by one day! They weren't taking riders at all on the 19th!
  19. It's pathetic what they'll do for attention these days. Media f*%$ers...
  20. I find it odd that there haven't been any recent installments of an Intamin Mega Coaster. I believe the last one was Thunder Dolphin in 2003. With the recent popularity of accelerator coasters, do you think we'll ever see another mega coaster?
  21. 3. Indiana Jones/Dinosaur's EMV's 2. Incredible Hulk 1. Alpengeist
  22. The only photo I have is pretty small, but it's the only one I know of. Fantasia Special, it's actually supposed to be pretty smooth.
  23. Marine World's only got a regular Frisbee. The closest giant frisbees are at PKI and Cedar Point. We've also got a frisbee at SFNE called Tomahawk. At one point in the program, it goes into high gear and that's when you see so many people stumbling out the ride's exit.
  24. For the person who asked, Amazing Confusion is a Mondial Ultra Max. I believe it's the only one in the world. My personal favorite is Delirium at Kings Island (Huss Giant Frisbee) followed closey by Long Island Adventureland's Top Scan which is no more.
