Funny thing is that those lights are programmable and aimed at different points on the "tree", they could easily make it into a light show of its own if they wanted to. Multiple colors, chasing, flashing etc. I think instead of a fountain, next year they should install a HUGE tree that you can walk through. Maybe put it somewhere near Bugs Bunny World? I think the kids would like that.

Six Flags question

I may be totally wrong on this, but didn't SF jump on the 'hyper coaster' bandwagon pretty hardcore back when that was the new hotness? Many of their parks seem to have a large scale B&M or simmilar type ride over 200 feet. Perhaps after investing in all those, they don't really feel the need to build more of them...a few feet taller...with more land use...and more millions of dollars. -
^What are you talking about? Was Python a totally unique ride? How about Scorpion? Wild Maus? I agree with a previous poster, yes there might be a unique element to some of their coasters, but for the most part they are all traditional track styles with designs that can and have been duplicated elsewhere. Busch is a great company but I think the pedistol that everyone is placing their coasters on is a little high.

Embarrassed of parks...

TPR is taking the love of theme parks and roller coasters mainstream....so give it like a year and were all gonna be the cool kids. Just watch -
^^Yeah, could have just been a bad luck ride. Sometimes you hit those ends with some lackluster rocking going on...and sometimes you hit it and you flip continuously till you reach the next end. I think that's part of the love for Zippers; it could be a really chill ride or it could be one of the most intense rides you've ever had!

With Medusa going 'steel' last year, Montana Rusa is the only wooden roller coaster in Mexico. Perhaps that's what they meant or what their materieal was supposed to say. -

When you're commuting from the Safari Park to Knotts, it would be very possible to hit up the credit at Scandia in Riverside. Other than that, your plan seems pretty solid...as long as you're really into animals! -
I know it's been said before, but Colossus has had parking lot lines underneath it since the beginning of time, yet that doesn't seem to be a problem for anybody. I personally don't notice them one bit while riding. I know they can go away, but also, I can totally understand that they are not a priority. Would you rather them pay for landscaping on a currently unpopular ride, or see the money go basically ANYWHERE else?

I went on Friday night and I have to say that it was pretty well done. Keep in mind that there are only 4 'zones' where lights are set up, the rest of the park is normal. As far as how neat it was, I would look at it in the same way you look at haunts. Take what Knotts and USH do, compare that to what SFMM does, and it's pretty much the same thing for the holidays. I thought it was 'cute,' and there is a ton of room for expansion. They did choose the best parts of the park to set up in, and the rest of the crowd seemed to be pretty into it as well. On a day with 5-15 minute lines for most attractions, Full Throttle and Tatsu mantained 1 hour + lines throughout the night, partially in my opinion because those parts of the park were fun to be in. Batman was even rockin a 20 minute wait in the evening when it was a walk-on during the day. All in all I enjoyed it and see it as a wonderful perk to the already incredible value of the Gold Pass I picked up last month.
