  1. call me an idiot, but I dont really get the graph...how have 333 users posted over 1100 votes? Does that mean some people are voting more than once? That kinda ruins everything... <------ghey chris.
  2. Saw this while browsing fark.com... http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/12275 TPR cited for photo credit so I may be late on this post. If so, delete it! Chris.
  3. Im curious to see how capacity will do this spring with the removal of so many flat rides. I know if I went to that TPR event a month ago I would probably know the answer, but are they going to put in some new flat rides? I am definitely sad to see Freefall go...it was my only option left to get pushed around from a ride (rip psyclone and flashback). . . and it was the only ride in the park that truly scared the hell out of my friends and I. I would totally love to see 5 or 6 new flat rides go in instead of a major coaster in 09. I also think it would promote their transition to more of a "family" theme park instead of a broke teenager park. Chris.
  4. Drachen Fire Fan Boy, According to what the Picture Set said, they are doing away with the whole X fin fiberglass thing anyway, so to answer your question about the chameleon paint scheme, I guess it would be 'no' as there will be nowhere to put it Chris.
  5. I should mention that I'm playing the game on a MAC. Chris.
  6. First off, I want to apologize if this has already been posted in the forum...searched for it and didn't see it anywhere. Anyway. For some reason, I am not getting any Apprentice or Tycoon objectives for this level on the game. The only one is the Entrepenuer (sp?) objective of repaying the loan. I've got a pretty big park going now, and well, nothing is happening. Is the ONLY objective to pay off the loan? Thanks, Chris.
  7. I shall emerge from the hills for this event...my first enthusiast event since the first Winter Solace (bleh). Hooray!!
  8. We sell Jones Blue Bubblegum in Yosemite. Come on up!!! My personal favorite is fufu berry. mmmmm. If im not mistaken, 711 started carying Jones in the LA area shortly before I moved to the forest. I could be wrong though. GREAT TR! Enjoyed myself very much. Chris.
  9. I think they made a great investment. Most of my non-enthusiast friends consider Deja Vu one of...if not...THE favorite ride at Magic Mountain. I personally make a point to ride it every time Im there; it truly is a unique roller coaster experience. And nothing beats getting stuck on it for 10 minutes on the first tower. Nothing. Chris.
  10. Ouch, Sunfire! Las Vegas wouldn't exist without alcohol. How else would they convince the masses to spend those masses of money? Look back at this post in 5 years and laugh at yourself. Mwa ha ha ha!! I definitely enjoyed Las Vegas before 21 (sober) and after 21 (not sober), and yes, for COMPLETELY different reasons. Its a city that will continue to draw you, probably for your whole life
  11. The Log Flume is still on the MOA website, but then again, everything is all Camp Snoopy related still. Please let us know if it is staying!!!
  12. Are they completely removing the log ride, or re-theming it? I personally loved the ride the one opportunity I got to go on it... One of the best memories of it...is when you depart the station, you go through paul bunyan theming, blah blah blah, lifthill...DIRECTLY toward the Hooters neon sign!!! Then you slowly float past the Hooters deck. Owls are sort of forest theming, right? Chris.
  13. I will miss Flashback... I remember on those busy busy spring break days, you can always count on Flashback to be there for you with a minimal line Seriously though, if you sat in the 3rd row in one of the middle two seats, it was a great ride!!!! Chris.
  14. Hey, I have a brand new Macbook, the black one. I just got RCT3, and it was really fun! It worked great on the low resolution mode, however regardless the graphics were good and functional. That was the first time using it. Now, I cant use it at all. It 'unexpectedly quits.' I completely deleted it, reinstalled it, tried using Rosetta (option does not exist), and am now stumped. Is ANYBODY ELSE having this issue, or is there anybody with advice that can get me playing the game again? This is the first problem I have had with my computer. Which is great, by the way Please, any help would be appreciated. If you check my location, you can see how much of 'dropping by the apple store' is a pain in the ass. Thanks. Chris.
  15. I guess my experiences are notable, avoiding the ever inevitable "sat on the break run for 10 muntes" experience that everybody has, Ive got: Media Day for Deja Vu SFMM, we got stuck on the first tower (facing the ground) for about 15 minutes. I think the best part is that there were reporters in the front seat freaking out, with ACEers in the back rows making comments like "Guess well get to see if the e-brakes work!" I was lucky though, I was on an inside row so I got to rest my feet on the train in front of me:) Media Day for Goliath SFMM we got stuck on the mid-course, at which point it began to hail. Hail and wind, combined with giant 'lift hill rain drops' was a great experience. We were soaked from head to toe by the time we got off. The train did that whole "move a foot then stop again" thing thats been mentioned earlier. I was in the back, but the folks up front were literally sideways by the time this ordeal ended. ---Side note...that same night we came back and rode again, and about halfway through the helix there was a noticable 'bump' that persisted for the remainder of the ride. We returned to the station and were very quietly notified that the wheels were prototypes and were being replaced. Guess they didnt want the media hearing about it. Did anybody that was there experience this as well? Would really like to know more about this! Finally, I got stuck on Psyclones lift hill. About 2/3 of the way up. Ride started up after maybe 20 minutes. Was the smoothest 20 minutes of Psyclone I ever experienced Does KBF kingdom of the dinosaurs count too? That was a crappy half an hour... Chris.
  16. Well im not the most active 'poster' on TPR, but my employees hate me because im ALWAYS on it... just wanted to say that your TR really impressed me. Added a personal touch along with lots of coaster pics. thanks for making my workday creep by a little faster Chris.
  17. I dont see the article anywhere online yet, but if you check out the LA times California section, its on the cover. They basically talk about how they are tired of dealing with the teenagers that make the park shady, and how while it IS a profitable property, there could be "easier" money in housing and commercial developments. I dont think it will happen but I just wanted to let you all know about the article. This seems like a step backwards, since they just took a bunch of steps to make it more family friendly. I think they should do away with season passes...or make them expensive. I think the main 'loitering' issues are with Valencian children whos parents would rather have SFMM security babysit instead of actually parenting. Just a thought. By the way, this is my first post but I have been reading the forums for EVER. Im glad I finally got around to doing this:)
