  1. I went skiing yesterday here in so cal and was able to ski in just a t-shirt by mid-afternoon. The snow was great, too! I love so cal:) chris.
  2. The Kodak Theatre is offering my company free tickets to go see Annie. Me, I'm not a fan of musicals, like, at ALL. My friend, well he is a musical director for a number of off broadway shows. HIS advice is, 'hell no, Annie sucks.' But then we thought it would be fun to go just to see the Kodak Theatre. Does anybody have any opinions on this show? Is it worth my time? Chris.
  3. Im definitely interested in that shuttle coaster in your second picture, couldnt find any info on it in either of the links provided. Anybody have any pictures or info about this model? Is it still operating anywhere? Chris.
  4. ^ooh! Super Exclusive Mummy shot!!! sexxxxyyy.... Chris.
  5. ^ One can never trust Wikipedia though, just read the article on SFMM. It looks like it was written for a 14 year olds school assignment. At least it did a few months ago. Anyway, reading up on theme parks is when I lost faith in the site Chris.
  6. Yeah CHARGERS!!!!! Chris.
  7. ^Hmmm, kind of like us 12 gays in Yosemite National Park:) We dont constitute a point...yet LOL chris.
  8. This was fantastic! Always fun to see a park I haven seen before...and a NICE one at that!!!! If only we could have a TPR Brazil trip...but I dont really see a point yet. There would have to be some 'culture days' on that one!! Anyway, thank you for the amazing, in depth report Chris.
  9. Thanks, Churro! Great pictures (and video, haha!), seems like SFMM has something good on their hands. I really like seeing the park doing well and raising the bar in its So Cal presence, and the rest of the industry for that matter. Chris.
  10. Son of Beast. Talk about a pile of suck. chris.
  11. If my memory serves me correctly, X goes through its annual rehab sometime in January - February, so keep an eye out in this thread for when that may happen. There are, however, MUCH more knowledgable minds in this thread than myself who can verify this information. Chris.
  12. Does anybody else find the placement of the MCBR more like an... ECBR? Seems pointless to go through a mid-course then do a lame little helix and end. More like an encore than a second 'half' Chris.
  13. Thanks guys, the dark ride description makes a lot of sense. I couldn't view the YouTube video because of the lame site blockages on my work computer They basically restrict me to JUST TPR. Chris.
  14. So a friend of mine insisted that there is a 'Shopping Roller Coaster' in Japan where you can shop right from the coaster. I didnt believe him, however a google search showed some leads. Its in China: LINK: http://retailtrafficmag.com/mag/retail_roller_coaster_shopping/ Does anybody know more about this? Cant seem to find anything here or at RCDB...seems 'interesting' to say the least... Chris.
  15. 10/20 < FAIL However, I am still proud of this score because it indicates that I know 'something,' but still have a life outside of TPR (albeit a small one Chris.
  16. The nearest one is at 'Magic Mountain,' in Big Bear City, CA. But the above mentioned alpine slide is just that, a slide, not a coaster like at Park City. Chris.
  17. Jeff Johnson credit? chris.
  18. ...sounds like your only chance of jumping over a tree branch on a coaster is now at Adventure City in So Cal! Oh, umm, only when they invite ACE over, I guess. chris.
  19. Well, hopefully they realize that they have the best coaster in, well, basically, the state and keep it open! chris.
  20. hahaha I didn't even know that BOTH of those links worked when I posted my comment! Wouldn't you be able to have both of those links work on a search engine with 'hidden' link names? I know its a TERRIBLE example, but much in the way that, say, pr0n engines link their sites? I really think that a more 'generic' branding that links back to TPR can only bring more publicity to this fantastic site. By having the 'coaster' branding name to the TV segment of the site, it will bring in additional viewers to it. If, once they click the link, they see the TPR references, they will possibly be curious about what else is involved with the site. While TPR is a site on theme parks in general, I think we can all agree that coasters are the primary focus. Otherwise, we wouldn't really refer to 'credits' as, well, you know, credits chris.
  21. ummm...anyway, about the topic... Robb are you going for an additional domain name just for the video segment? If so, wouldn't it be possible to have a link for, say www.tprtv.com AND www.coastertube.com and have them both direct to the same page? I think that would be the best way to do things, because I'm SURE if you go with TPR TV, somebody else will steal the coastertube idea!!!! chris.
  22. Do defunct parks count? If so, my vote is for Santa's Village in Lake Arrowhead, CA!!! It DID have a credit though....anybody else have it?
  23. ....no louder than hotels right next to a freeway! Besides, there are already multiple hotels not necessarily next to a park, but IN parks! Specifically I'm referring to the Disneyland resort...they dont seem to have noise problems there... Chris.
