Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

^ Perhaps the name change could also be a move to further separate it from the Terminator attraction at USH. Chris. -

I work at a hotel in downtown los angeles, and this is my advice: 1. Stay in Downtown Los Angeles if you do NOT rent a car. From here, you can spend 2 nights in downtown utlizing the subway and light rail to check out Los Angeles's most popular areas. Downtown is good because hotels run $100-$200 a night, where as in Hollywood it is not difficult to spend $200-$400 a night. Amtrak has a service to Anaheim which takes about an hour from LA Union station, and Disney runs a shuttle from the train depot. I would enjoy the parks and spend the night in Anaheim for your final evening in LA. The next morning, take the train back to LA Union station, where you can catch a Flyaway shuttle to LAX every half hour for $4 per person. A hotel near LAX, especially without a car, will be misearable as it is nearly impossible to get anywhere from there. 2. Stay .. well .. wherever you want if you have a car. You can use the car to get everywhere you want, but it will cost you time and money. I have actually become so well at giving advice on public transportation I now recommended not getting a car in LA. If you have a solid itinerary you can get it done VERY well with the subways and trains. It takes 20 minutes to get from Downtown to Hollywood on the subway, but including parking it will take you around 40. Disneyland might take less time in the car, but it might not. There are plenty of budget hotel options but I would ask a local person on advice of the location before booking. The travelodge in Hollywood is indeed good advice, the Motel 6 is also quite affordable. Be warned that you WILL see some dodgy people at these places. In conclusion, I know there is not a lot to see in Downtown, but I find it a very convenient place to start and end your day. You can get anywhere in Southern California quite painlessly being the central hub for the city rail as well as amtrak. If you are taking public transportation from Vegas, I would assume you would end up here. I can post more if you want, just let me know! If you need deals in downtown (at a NICE hotel), let me know as well. Chris. Anything else? Chris.

Yeah, like Terry said, during that 'time when you expect her to call,' go jogging or something. Running it off really helps. And it makes you look better for the next girlfriend chris.

The financial information behind the Q-bot is very interesting to me, I think we should keep this topic focused more on that instead of turning it into another "I hate/love Q-bot." I actually think this would be a compelling investment to make if possible, especially with todays unpredictable economy. I believe there are several threads out there already devoted to "I love/hate q-bot." Lets keep the posts "Topically Accurate" (hope I am not playing moderator or anything...) Chris.

It appears that the reason it was torn down is because it is no longer politically correct. The obese children couldn't fit through the little crawl spaces, and thats just not fair. I am, of course, only kidding, I just wanted to bring up the crawl spaces. Those things were fun when I was little. It allowed you to go into a place your parents couldn't go and that somehow made you feel good about yourself Knowing the world today though, you cant dismiss the fact that maybe they were getting complaints about kids not fitting? That was a memory I will miss. Oh and Kingdom. And the Soap Box Racers. And the chapel. My bid on the next thing to go: Stagecoaches. Or are they already gone? Chris.

This is Theodore the Raccoon. He was our neighborhood mascot. We got tired of watching him sift through trash cans, so we began buying him healthy food like apples and banannas. He was definitely a fan of the apples more, but he would eventually eat the bananas, too. Oh yeah, never feed the wildlife while visting a national park!!! chris.

OK I know im a few pages too late to respond to this but im going to anyway... On the Kings Dominion update, a picture raised the question of 'why is everybody's hands on their legs?" Well, from personal experience, I find myself doing this...especially on floorless and standups, to attempt to keep the contents of my pockets IN my pockets. Chris. -

The schlitterbahn bias kind of bugs me. While I have not been to any of their parks, it seems that EVERYBODY on this site that visits one is unimpressed. Maybe its because they constantly get rewards and its over-hyped. If the world wasnt constantly telling us that Schlitterbahn rules, do you think we would actually enjoy it more? Just...baffling I suppose with the recent surge in water-park popularity nation wide. chris. -
School teachers can still visit on a weekend in October. A weekday in August. Etc Etc. I in no way live in the lap of luxury, my job dictates when my time off is, and in a lot of cases, WHERE I am. For example, I normally live around California, but I'm currently in Ohio. I asked for a tuesday off a few weeks ago so I could see KI. It worked out. Anyway, back to the topic instead of defending myself and/or 'some people,' I still say a well shaded, themed queue is the way to go!!! The less you make the guest zig zag, the better. Chris.
