  1. They should give it a Thomas theme so the area can turn into a little less of a failure.
  2. Those were my thoughts reading the post!
  3. Anybody come out on 'National Coming Out Day?'
  4. Since I have been eating In-N-Out my whole life, I am all for the 5 Guys. I think its way better, and their fries also DEFINITELY win over In-N-Out fries!!!!
  5. ^You also need to remember that in 2001, they were opening two hybrids. They have already done the Superman transformation on the other version, and ZacSpins have been done before. There really should be no delays.
  6. This is great news! I hope they keep Tidal Wave too, otherwise the choice of non-coasters in the area will drop again. But yeah! ZacSpin!
  7. Got your vote in! I hope you win. I personally find scripted small children annoying
  8. And, to be fair, I heard the audio the whole way through when it worked. Other than the glorious clacking of the track. So there's that.
  9. My personal opinion is that both sides should go backwards.... at least when it first opens. There is no point in re-marketing the ride and then only running half of it that way. Can you imagine the lines????? They were terrible when it opened and ran both sides, I can't see it being a very fun wait with half the capacity. Fact is, nobody will want to ride the forward side. They hardly do now.
  10. What is an RECC and what makes it a downside? Chris.
  11. I REALLY don't want to create more lockrr discussions, but with their computerized systems throughout the park, one would think it would be simple to pay like, $5 with your admission for a lockrr pin number that can be used around the park. I don't really use the lockrrs 5 different times throughout the day, but I would probably pay for that pin number to make things easier.
  12. First pause before a beyond vertical drop at a SIX FLAGS PARK! There we go.
  13. I am pretty sure Project 18 is going to be a celebration of the 18th time they convince us that a housing development is being built where the park currently stands. My 2ยข
  14. I'm sure the buses and their drivers are fine. I live in a tourist area, and I can attest to the fact that people on vacation check their brains out at the gate. We have visitors traveling 45 miles an hour and suddenly coming to a complete stop to take a picture of a squirrel that just crossed the road (not to mention people stopping in the middle of the road, getting OUT OF THE CAR, and taking a picture of a bison 200 yards away). I have no doubt that they have similar issues at WDW. If anything, dedicated bus roads or lanes may be a more financially feasible option.
  15. That is a very strange article. What's with the "muttering foreigner?" Why is that even in the article??!!! Love the lockrr filter, as always
  16. Well, the marriage light in Cali is green again. Looks like it turns yellow in 30-60 days? This whole 'yes you can, no you cant, yes you can, no you cant' thing is a bit ridiculous. No other state dealt with that kind of weirdness. Just let us get married for good, it will raise income for the state with all the added divorce income
  17. I'm at the lake area....I'll actually be in Big Sky tomorrow for some disc golf if the weather clears up! I think we represent the area with the largest void of coasters in the continental US
  18. I really hate the use of the word 'stranded.' Totally blows these situations out of proportion.
  19. Hey, how long of a drive was it from Big Sky?
  20. Sorry Robb, it was 8 years ago. Seemed a lot more simple that it apparently is. Thanks for ripping my head off.
  21. I just have to say, I do group tours for a hotel, and I never screw it up. HA! Our hotel has a variety of room types, and as long as you book the right one, everything will be ok. I Have worked at hotels though, that WAY overbook their 2 bed rooms, and then usually stick group tours with the problem. So I feel your pain.
  22. I rode the carnival version at the LA County Fair wayyy back around 2002. It was the kind that the net is attached to the elevator car, so there really was no possibility of it not being raised up enough. They would still bring multiple passengers up in the car, but between jumpers, we would just lower ourselves with the net enough for them to get out. Seems pretty fail-safe to me....at least more-so than a tower with independent net operations. Anyway, I will definitely be riding a SCAD tower again when I see one at a good price
  23. Can I be the first to say that the 'double up' feature after the first drop looks horribly uncomfortable? Perhaps its a different part of the ride being built? It just looks too small and tight after that enormous first drop. Could be wrong though.
