  1. ^ Sometimes I can't decide if a ride is fun or not because I am too busy deciding whether or not this giant steel or wood structure is indeed made of steel or wood. "El Toro was soooo fun, but GOSH! Was that actually wood? nahhhh, couldn't be. But it looks so wood like! I dunno, there are some steel bolts up in there! My brain is about to explode!" Come on guys, get over it. (agreeing with Chuck)
  2. I agree that dressing up adds to the ambiance in the dining room for everyone, and its fun. I would imagine the one or two people in there not abiding by the dress code are either quite selfish or too hung over to notice!
  3. I get the feeling that this ride will be similar Jet Rescue at the Australia Sea World, even though that is an Intamin. Just a low, fast, FUN ride.
  4. ^Mooseburger Lodge is also pretty good eatin.
  5. I tried to go through 'that other site' but the constant barrage of ADS totally turned me off. Thanks again, Robb for creating the ONLY coaster site I visit in a daily basis.
  6. ^ Call the hotel the day after you book with Priceline, Hotwire, Expedia, etc. Tell them to 'add a note' to your reservation saying that you MUST have 2 double beds. Call back in a day or two to confirm this information. If it is not there, ask to speak to a manager and request it again. Explain that you CANNOT have 1 bed. Hotels typically are a little more hot-headed when it comes to booking websites. They tend to give those reservations the least appreciated rooms on the property, and they use the 'well you booked elsewhere' excuse. Trust me, if you call them and explain that you NEED TWO BEDS, and call AGAIN, and even a third time approaching the visit, you will probably get your two beds. Just keep your cool and stay persistent. But yeah, if you are an ass, or rude, all bets are off. Just be professional, cool, and persistent.
  7. ^^This is all very interesting. Have we discussed it before?
  8. Thanks for the PTR's! One day I will make it to these smaller parks. Ok and sfgadv.
  9. That offer was just posted to all of SFMM's Facebook friends as well, with or without a season pass.
  10. Or, you guys can all show up on the 'hopefully not raining but probably raining' days and probably get some serious ERT on it if the weather cooperates....
  11. I have made my irresponsible drunk post or two, but I have never been BANNED. TPR is really the only theme park/roller coaster forum/site that I EVER visit. It's the bees knees.
  12. ^You can take a Fly Away shuttle to LA Union Station, then the Metrolink train up to the park, then a bus or taxi It will take you hours in both directions but hey, if you need more time.... http://www.lawa.org/flyaway/ http://www.metro.net http://www.santaclaritatransit.com/ v Thanks for the metroLINK site, EBL
  13. This is an incredible TR. Thank you for posting!
  14. Anybody else secretly miss this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Vp7qijJILg&feature=related lol
  15. I like the 1:33 to 1:36 segment where it goes...well, what looks like next to the station, or between the station and storage track. Anyway yeah thats my favorite part
  16. "Oh, that red dot? I wouldn't worry about that little guy." In other news, I just wanted to say that I am one of the few and privileged that got to pay $10 and actually RIDE Thrill Shot. Still haven't been on the Sky Coaster.....
  17. 9/20. I got the ball one wrong and feel great shame.
  18. I was one awesome play by the Steelers away from winning. Oh well!
  19. ^Combined with your avatar, you seem 'very interested' in the banana penis shirt.
  20. This is great news! I think JIB's are great coaster 'experiences.' A lot happens in a short period of time and it is intense! I am all for Vekoma perfecting this ride design as I really do enjoy it.
  21. ^It's not that I don't believe him, I am just being 'cautiously optimistic!' I do think it would be a great money maker for the park!
  22. That was precisely what I came to write. If there's beer at SFMM, I can be my own ZacSpin, lines be damned! I don't want to believe him because a) Nothing was too serious in the update b) The 'beer' photo mentioned Mooseburger Lodge, and the picture was not at Mooseburger Lodge c) Beer would be too easy of a way for SFMM to make money d) Beer would perpetuate SFMM's already rowdy reputation. Then again, Knotts sells beer, they just don't make a big deal out of it. I am pretty sure most park guests don't even notice the beer place!
  23. Daddy Daughter Date Night at Chick-Fil-A is kinda weird. I know they are in the middle of protecting their 'family values' (http://www.dailytexanonline.com/content/students-protest-chick-fil-sponsorship) or whatever, but I think this is a little too far! Great little spontaneous PTR!
  24. I wanna ride the zipper coaster! .....Just trying to anticipate guest reactions
