  1. That park looks really great! Aside from the 122 degree heat looks like a great time....not to mention the ERT style crowds!
  2. Robb changed l-o/c-k-e/r-s to the Fluffy Fluffy Bunnies because there are PAGES AND PAGES of useless arguing about the dollar fee, and we all got tired of reading about it.
  3. Congratulations!!! You look amazing.
  4. Has anybody else noticed in the GL commercial that one of the clips has the train running the wrong way on the track? It looks like its going UP into the MCB, I think.
  5. ^Most parks also have 4, maybe 5 roller coasters. I think SFMM is on a bit of a different scale
  6. Hey, really enjoying the reports from lesser known parks!!! Oh, its "decided." But yeah for real, thanks for posting!!
  7. I would also like to second... AQUATRAX!!! I mean, it seems like a perfect plot and a great replacement for a water ride
  8. R&E, you really out-do yourselves every year with better and better PTR's! I am really considering my first trip out of the country to be a TPR trip!
  9. Really looks like an incredibly beautiful park. One of these days....
  10. As somebody that LOVES Los Angeles, I 2nd this notion. Stay away from LA that weekend! That 126 really is as easy as it gets as far as the ocean is concerned. Plenty of places there too to dine on the beach! We have a few members here from Camarillo and the surrounding area so perhaps they can chime in with a romantic by-the-sea restaurant
  11. ^^Maybe it's because they have those catwalks over the entire ride, effectively doubling or even tripling the amount of paint needed?
  12. ^It was TWO togo's right next to each other...double trouble!!
  13. If you base where you go off of what Yelp and Trip Advisor say, you should probably just sit under a rock and wait to die. As somebody else stated, those sites are generally used as a tool to vent anger. Have you ever looked up a venue or restaurant with 5 stars? Filter the 1 star reviews on those and read 'em. Almost makes the user sound like an idiot. "I hate mushrooms, but I heard they make the BEST mushroom soup in town so I tried it and OMG it was gross! 1 STAR." This person should not have even written the review as they are not the customer that the mushroom soup was targeting. The point is (oh, and I don't work in a restaurant so the above example did not apply to me;) that people are going to complain and moan forever. The advent of the internet has made it easier to vent this anger. They used to do it in journals and with their friends, now they do it in blogs and on internet forums. Like I said before, theme parks are expensive. They come with expensive parking. And expensive soda. Put up or shut up
  14. ^It's because taking video on a ride at SFMM is against their park policy, and we as a group do not condone breaking the rules. Some parks allow on ride video (for example, Disney), and in those cases, TPR will allow it as well.
  15. Does the lift hill on the log ride still directly face the HOOTERS sign? I got a real kick out of that when I visited.
  16. ^^I'm well aware of the charm that used to exist at KBF...then again I'm almost 30! lol Plus, I think there is enough charm left in Ghost Town, and even Camp Snoopy to hint at what the park might have been like before it became a healthy support beam forest. Right? Right guys?????
  17. Coca Cola just jumped from $1.59 to $1.79 at my local Famima. EVERYBODY PANIC!
  18. On weeknights with Dodger games, Metrolink offers 11:00pm trains in all directions from LA Union Station. This is a little known service that can really extend your time at the park if you work out the schedules.
  19. ^ I am sorry that $20 puts you in such a bad mood. I don't believe it has the same effect on most people because, well, you know, they are still going to the park, and paying the $20, and the people I see in the tram aren't frowning or angry.
  20. ^Yeah, but this is the same GP that inspired the 'Crazy things the GP says' Thread, so I mean, who really cares. Don't most of them believe that people die like, all the time, on every ride?
  21. In your TR, you said you spent basically your entire visit in the theme park and flight simulator, and one restaurant. How can you judge a mall that you didn't even explore? It is just SO big that perhaps you couldn't find the hidden awesomeness?
  22. Since they mention the never-been-done-before RIGHT after 'First-in-the-U.S.' I think they are acknowledging that it is not the first first ever, just here in the US. Just some clever wording to confuse the masses
