Regarding Panda Express in Baja Ridge.... Do you think they will ever move it to Samurai Summit? Perhaps then, they can open a Mexican Restaurant in Baja Ridge? And then, only then, they can move the Pizza Place to the DC comics area? It all just seems to fit the theming better. I have been thinking these thoughts for a long time...does anybody else agree? EDIT-----Regarding AAA night, as I remember people posting in this very thread, it was completely DEAD last year. Perhaps somebody that went can chime in.

^Depends on how valuable your time is to yourself. A meal at Wendy's will be what, $6-$8? With at least a 40 minute round trip walk? Lets call it an hour and a half trip. A meal at the in-park Panda Express is $10. So at Wendy's, you have saved a total of $2-$4. Well say this takes a half hour. Oh wait! You bought a Flashpass! A 5 person gold pass is $51 per person. For 8 hours in the park, you are paying about $6.50 an hour for the pass. Since you wasted an hour walking to Wendy's, you have lost that value of that hour off the pass. So now, eating at Wendy's has cost you $2.50 - $4.50 more than just eating at Panda Express. Ta da!

Ever Been The Only One On A Ride?

At SFMM Revolution Ninja Colossus Superman Flashback Colossus was probably my favorite. The whole tiny me massive structure thing. By the way, all accomplished at TPR events -

This is tragic news. Condolences to the family, especially the twin brother. (wow, worst 666'th post ever) -

^Ever since my visit to KI, I have regarded it as kind of a junk yard for dated or uncomfortable coaster ideas. I would see this kind of ride fitting in at a highly themed family park, like Dollywood or a Busch park. -

^The first 2 letters of his name should be explanation enough. Looks like a great ride, and I am glad to see more of this '4D' train design! -

Now that is a pre-show! That dark ride section on Superman is a great addition to the ride and a way to force a story line. Six Flags should take some note that it works much better when it is incorporated into the ride, not just making people stand in 2 rooms and a hallway watching television. Looks like a blast, guys. -
Looks like a great day at the park! At least with Perilous Plunge, you have something to look forward to next time.

biosciking's So Cal Thread
WFChris replied to biosciking's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, I was going to start a thread like this but just never got around to actually going to all of these secret So Cal places with a camera. The great thing about this thread, and where we live, is that we have so much awesome stuff to do in Southern California that the rest of the world does not know about. LA has such a bad reputation amongst most of the world (*cough* TPR, *cough*), and it mostly comes from people who in my opinion generally have a negative outlook on life or just don't know about all of the awesomeness we have. It can also come from people that live in less-than-desirable commute locations. I for one, know that I would go absolutely insane living in the priss environment of the Santa Clarita Valley or even worse, Orange County. Sure, you have the traffic and infamous LAX, but you also have snowy mountains, beautiful beaches, the desert, world class theme parks, dining, mini-golf, giant parks, and more. One day, I went skiing and then took a boat out to Catalina Island on the same day, enjoying the Mediterranean style beaches a world away from LA, but only 22 miles offshore. To finalize my rant, I also want to add that most of the problem residents in LA that I have met are people that were not born here. They are the jocks, drama nerds, and other eccentrics from small town America that moved here to become famous and have absolutely no pride in their city. I think people will find that when they are around 'true' locals, or others that moved here and embrace the city, tend to find activities and things to do that are unique to the area and encourage a sense of pride. Seriously, where else can you ski, go 'hiking' on a Segway, go surfing, and eat authentic Japanese food all in one day? Eight-thousand thumbs up to this thread!!!!! I am VERY excited to see you exploit more of our secrets! -

TR: Six Flags Magic Mountain
WFChris replied to KBrylczyk's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I read your entire report, and it seems to me that you go into things in life with a negative attitude, like, you actively LOOK for something to annoy you. I say that because you mention things like they are the end of the world, but then you say you enjoyed the ride. You even answered one of your own observations....first you mention that X2's loading process sucks, but then you say 'why have more not been built?' 2+2 = .... Anyway, I am just curious if that is the case; because really, it does not sound like Magic Mountain provided that bad of a time for you, you just decided to not enjoy it. -
I have to agree...a Flash Pass is not necessary for WCB. With your morning and evening ERT you will have plenty of time for all of the rides. Also, whatever was not part of ERT can be ridden right when the park opens at least a couple of times. Seriously, when the park opens, the GP flocks to all the big coasters. This leaves all the water rides, flat ride, and less significant coasters without a line for at least an hour. Finally, the afternoon is filled with events to keep you busy and you won't want to be out riding coasters anyway. I love the improvements on Superman. Either way, though, I still enjoyed it as 'Air Conditioning: The Line.'

You are a lucky guy, I did not get up to the mountain at ALL this winter I still have time, but it's not looking good!
