  1. Did anyone else notice that the announcement described the ride as going through the vertical loop before the boomerang element?
  2. I was never expecting the first (inevitable) complaint about the ride to be "But Superman is so loud." People are IN those trains making all the noise. The scrambler is right NEXT to the track. The Goliath line is right under the tower. A PATH goes under the tower. Gold Rusher runs around the ride. A restaurant is located next to the tower. The nose isn't a concern with any of the above mentioned places, and it won't be a concern with the new ride. That being said, I haven't been this excited for a new ride in the area since X was being built!!!!
  3. Best Steel: Xcelerator KBF Best Wood: Apocolypse SFMM Worst Steel: Jaguar! KBF Worst Wood: Ghostrider (previously my #1) KBF
  4. ^ I completely disagree. Flashback was one of a kind. My vote goes out to SOB. I have never panicked on a ride like I did at the bottom of the first drop. I thought I was going to have permanent back issues. And yes, I just supported Flashback.
  5. The giga rumor has been around since the dawn of time.
  6. Great announcement! I was definitely in the 'never gonna happen on the Superman tower' party. I hope the entrance to the ride ends up in the Scream/Colossus plaza to bring some life to that part of the park! At the very least, the curse of that corner will help reduce wait times
  7. I agree that she unfairly played a 'card' against Rye Playland. So unfortunate that self perceived inequalities still exist today.
  8. So Far: Knotts Berry Farm, once. laaaame.....
  9. On similar topic, I had a friend refer to SFDK as 'Six Flags Vallejo.'
  10. To be fair, it sounds like you put her in the awkward position of having to answer a rhetorical question. What did you expect her to say? "Sorry, I didn't see that?" I don't really see the point in bothering to ask that question.
  11. ^^ Does anybody know WHY ON EARTH kbf has Perilous Plunge closed right now? This weekend was basically the reason they built the thing. Any ideas???
  12. Is it weird to say that I almost feel like I am vicariously vacationing with you when I read these? Thanks so much for your very detailed reviews
  13. This has been a fun read! Cant wait to see more
  14. ^I'm sorry! Sierra Sidewinder at KBF on Wednesday.
  15. At the Fox News shoot, we were thinking the SAME thing when we saw those girls. I thought it was kinda weird to use the same EXACT marketing ploy that is being used to sell vibrators. I actually posted a picture of one of them on my Facebook and I captioned it "Looks like you're getting three!!!"
  16. I heard that they are selling off each of their coasters one by one, in an anticipated move to sell the land to Newhall Land & Farming Company
  17. The LA Metro 460 bus has a stop at the Disneyland bus terminal, and goes by Knotts Berry Farm. The head sign will say 'Downtown LA' and the cost is $1.50 per person. It is a 24 hour bus.
  18. Several flumes at Disney and Universal parks already do....
  19. No coasters? This isn't stupid. The poster clearly said sfmm WINS (coaster wise). He/she never said Disney has no coasters. Also, regarding calling park 'Six Flags,' I don't think thats dumb or weird either. 99.9999% of the world refers to their own park as Six Flags. I personally call SFMM 'Six Flags,' because nobody in LA is going to assume that I'm talking about any park other than SFMM. If anything, once somebody realizes there is a SF park elsewhere, they just say 'oh! There's a Six Flags there too? Cool!'
  20. X / X2 restraints are like putting a backpack on. And then seatbelts. They are definitely weird.
  21. From the LA Times: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/08/knotts-berry-farm-roller-coaster-accident.html#more
  22. If you are going to simplify my statement, then yes. "An intense, REAL free fall was disappointing." I also have to say that I appreciate the bouncy part after the initial fall; it completes the ride experience, instead of just getting up and leaving 5 seconds after the climax of the ride.
  23. I'm pretty sure I am in the minority here, but I like Supreme Scream at KBF more than the drop tower at KI. I found the smaller ride vehicle made the ride more intense for me. Then again, I'm weird. Whatever SFMM gets, I will be happy (regardless of the numerous posts that will appear here saying its the 'worst decision ever').
