  1. Okay, it's pretty much definite that GMAN962 and I will be there for West Coast Bash, but we can't make the party... We gotta pick up someone at the airport. Looking forward to the 11th!
  2. Update: I will likely be going to the ERT event and such, as long as nothing comes up. As for the post-Bash party, I'm looking into that... So we'll have to see.
  3. Sorry, but it definitely needs some work. It's a nice start, but is poorly executed. Things I found good: - The twister section could be good with better banking and smoother trackwork - The drop before the loop isn't too bad Things you need to work on: - It isn't banked enough in many parts. There are too many lateral g's. - The track needs lots of smoothing. There are lots of bumpy parts or jerks that could hurt people very badly. - The bottoms of each hill needs a bigger, less sudden pull-out. The tiny, sudden pull-outs create too much positive g-force, and make the ride uncomfortable and unrealistic. - Try to make the track in a way that you don't need multiple lift hills, because they take away from the non-stop fun seen in most coasters. - The lift hills and brake-runs should be straight, not curved. You can make straight track pieces by clicking a piece and pressing "I". There are a few good ideas with this coaster, but it needs a lot of work before it'll be acceptable. Sorry.
  4. Yeah, that was a fun trip to Knotts... If anyone's wondering what song's playing on my iPod in the first picture, it's "Vicarious" by Tool.
  5. Intamin T-Bars with belts, and B&M inverted OTSRs... Comfortable and secure-feeling!
  6. My favorite is The Riddler's Revenge, but here's my opinion of all the coasters there: Batman: The Ride - Very fun and intense. Great inversions and non-stop intensity... definitely for when you're craving some g-forces! (9/10) Canyon Blaster - Never ridden it. (?/10) Colossus - Nice and fun, but nothing all that great. Getting back seat on a cold night makes it much more fun. Also, the right side seems to be smoother than the left side to me. (7/10) Deja Vu - Great ride. Very underrated in my opinion... and actually quite smooth for me. Great thrill factor, too. I got only one instance of headbanging, and it was very light and painless. (9.5/10) Flashback - Never ridden it. (?/10) Gold Rusher - Kinda fun, but nothing special. A nice mine train ride. (5/10) Goliath - In the day, it's meh... But get back seat on a cold, windy night and it's loads of fun! Definitely a ride that shows great potential at night, although the layout is a bit lackluster. (Day: 7/10) (Night: 9/10) Goliath Jr. - Never ridden it. (?/10) Ninja - Fun, and fairly smooth for such an old coaster. A little slow near the end, though. (7/10) Psyclone - Very underrated, in my opinion. Yes, it's rough and has a major lack of airtime and good elements... But most people make it out to be the coaster from heck. I actually enjoyed my four consecutive back seat rides, thank you very much! (Ride quality: 2/10) (Fun for the heck of it: 8/10) Revolution - Meh... Some fun, but very uncomfortable. The trims NEED to be removed, too! (6/10) The Riddler's Revenge - Best ride I've been on in the park. Smooth, fast paced, intense, and fun... Everything a coaster should be! Worth almost any wait. (10/10) Scream! - Overrated by the general public; underrated by enthusiasts. Yeah, it's a bit shaky, but lots of fun as a whole. The zero-g roll is simply awesome! (8/10) Superman: The Escape - Overrated. Weak launch, low intensity, and very mild airtime. Only worth a minute-or-less wait for me. (5/10) Tatsu - Excellent ride. Previously my favorite, it's very fun and smooth. Great intensity too. Unfortunately, the elements seem a bit drawn out, and it can get a little boring after riding it too much (at least for me...) (9/10) Viper - Underrated. It may not be smooth, but that adds to the fun of it. Great inversions and out-of-control feeling (I love Arrow's track designs...) (8.5/10) X - Never ridden it, but looking forward very much to the day I do ride it. (?/10)
  7. ^ I posted it on page 4 already, but here you go... http://youtube.com/watch?v=Go57I8ogmlY
  8. You better not be talking about the song by Gnarls Barkley... GB is one of my favorite bands!
  9. Well, I felt the same way about roller coasters until last year. I only liked smaller coasters with no drops, but liked the speed and turns on those. I couldn't bring myself to get on most bigger coasters, and when I did, I hated the drops. Last year, my friend took me to Six Flags Magic Mountain. After losing my breath and stomach on Viper as my first ride, I was NOT convinced that I'd like roller coasters with big drops. Then, after a few rides, I began to get used to the stomach feeling to the point that I wouldn't feel it anymore. It's all a matter of progression, experience, and adjustment. Even coasters like Goliath don't get my stomach anymore. If you want to start out easily with bigger drops, I'd suggest making your first huge drop a turning one, preferably on a B&M coaster like Nemesis. Earlier in my coaster days, I noticed that curving or twisting drops are much less intense on the stomach than straight ones... It's all up to you, but those are my suggestions.
  10. Holy Kibbles N' Bits! This is gonna be AWESOME!! Seriously... ATHF is one of my favorite shows... and the flaming chicken just makes things better!
  11. The Riddler's Revenge - The Riddler makes roller coasters... and exacts revenge on the general public? Deja Vu - Should be more like "Rewind", seeing as you don't do the same thing twice... You do it backwards. Superman: The Escape - Yeah, you may be escaping, but only to come all the way back 10 seconds later. What's the point? Montezooma's Revenge - I've never seen anyone get off this ride with diarrhea... Batman and Robin: The Chiller - Is this ride even cold? Hurricane at SCBB - Feels more like an earthquake to me (you'd know if you've ridden it...)!
  12. Uh-Oh... it's a candy war! So... what candy do you like the best?
  13. I've only ridden Manhattan Express with the new trains, and it was pretty rough. I was assigned back seat (lucky me... ), and I came off with a mild headache and dizziness. The seats are uncomfortable and the ride vibrates a bit like most woodies do. It was nowhere near as bad as many people say it is (or Robb's video shows), but it wasn't worth 12 bucks. Desperado is great, but very rough. Rougher than Manhattan Express, but the lap bars make up for it. Great ejector airtime and speed, too. Speed is pretty good. Mostly smooth with a bit of vibration and the occasional headbanging.
  14. Hey... could you please change mine to: "Psyclone: Rest In Pieces (1991 - 2007)" Thanks!
  15. During or before a drop: "LEEROOOOOOOOOOOOY JENKINNNNNNNNNS!" On Xcelerator: "Kibbles... And... *launch*BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITS!!!" I've also reenacted scenes from the Rejected cartoons while going up long lift hills (did the bloody eye thing on the way up Desperado's lift...).
  16. Nice job. Pretty smooth overall, with some random jerks here and there. Definitely has the style of an old Arrow coaster, too... And I don't see why everyone's complaining about the lack of airtime... It has a lot in my opinion!
  17. I'll see if I can get some pictures... ADMIN EDIT: LEECHED PHOTOS REMOVED! That's all for now...
  18. ^ Yeah, haha... She actually has an excuse, but I'm not sure if it's true... Today I listened to "The Good, The Bad & The Queen" for the first time.
  19. To anyone interested, the video's up on YouTube now... http://youtube.com/watch?v=Go57I8ogmlY
  20. ^ Wow, that's a rare card! I heard it's being discontinued!
  21. Yeah, this post pretty much sums up how I feel about it...
  22. I have a new goal... Seeing as I never get bored of Xcelerator, I'd actually ride it 60 times in a day if I got the chance... But really, that's a bit absurd.
  23. Well, I've only been on one drop tower, and it was a S&S Turbo Drop (Supreme Scream)... I liked it a lot, but I don't think it's fair for me to vote... Intamin towers seem pretty cool, though.
