Siam Park - Waterpark in the Canary Islands
vjgx replied to Lincow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow... from the description and pictures, this place looks like it'll be amazing! It's nice to see that someone's finally building a water park with the theming and quality of a full-fledged theme park... -

vjgx replied to GMAN962's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cool... I was there (obviously...), and that was pretty good fun. It wasn't actually closed to the public... It just worked like Halloween Haunt - you had to buy overpriced tickets specifically for the 7-1 event. It was fairly crowded, but definitely not "Haunt crowded" (good thing, too...)! -
Wood: Ghostrider - Don't even ask... It's fun when it's running good, but otherwise... ouch. Steel: Desperado - Slightly rougher than Manhattan Express (can you say "screwed-up transitions galore"?), but still a lot of fun.

Weekend In Las Vegas.
vjgx replied to boy_who_luvs_coasters's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Strange... I rode it on Thursday in pretty high winds... And it wasn't just breezy, it was pretty much about as windy as the rest of the west coast those past two days! -

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
vjgx replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Since I just got back from Vegas (Blue Man Group owns), here's my "Best and Worst Ending" Evaluation of the Vegas coasters! Best: Speed - Backwards loop and a backwards overbank? Fun! Manhattan Express - IT'S OVER!! YES!! (I was "fortunate" enough to be assigned to the back seat on this thing...) Worst: Canyon Blaster - Slow, forceless helix followed by a straightaway through an obvious and uncovered maintenance corridor... Yawn. Desperado - Rough turn, followed by the one hill in the whole ride with literally no airtime and rough brakes... Manhattan Express - The most screwed-up helix I've ever seen followed by airtimeless hills of pain... not good. -
Uh... No wonder I was able to enjoy all four of my back-seat Psyclone rides on Wednesday! Seriously... That was my first time on it, and I kept wondering why everyone complains about Psyclone... I actually kinda liked it in a strange way! Maybe I'll change my mind once I ride it in warmer weather...

Hey Elissa... if you get a chance, could you change mine to "Do a barrel roll!"? Thanks!

Wow... seems like an interesting Christmas... I'd sure be happy with Indian food for dinner... I love it. Also... I need one of those Riddler's shirts for next Halloween! -

Wow... It seems like some ride ops can be a real pain! Fortunately, I have never encountered a ride op problem involving lack of attention or other such things... They're either enthusiastic or having fun running the ride, or just being quiet and doing their job well (yes, this includes Magic Mountain)... In fact, I've never been stapled... not even close. Even on Xcelerator (apparently notorious for stapling), the ride ops always gently lower my lap bar until there's about an inch of space between the thing and my legs... Sometimes I actually lower it more myself to feel safer! But yeah... I guess I'm just lucky (another reason why I never complain about SFMM)!

I play CS1.6, CSSource, HL2DM, HLDM, and Garry's Mod... My name is usually "[vjgx] :: GhostRider"... Maybe sometime we can play!

To sum it up, Nickelodeon was only good until it removed shows such as: The Angry Beavers Rocko's Modern Life and pretty much every other semi-controversial show on there... The fact that parents are so worried about influences on kids these days just ruins cartoon channels... Nick came first, but now CN is going in the same direction.

The Diamond Beach Typhoon (NL)
vjgx replied to vjgx's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
There were a total of two places on that ride that even went into negative gs. And neither got anywhere close to ejector, IMO. But im just knocking your word, because the ride was nice. But some good old fashoined straight hills would have been nice too. Meh... I kinda made that description up. I was trying to make it sound dangerous and crazy, just like some of the older Traver woodies. -
Warning: Uses NL 1.6 (Improved Friction)!! The following ride is meant to be rough. :: Diamond Beach Typhoon by vjgx :: Height: 114 ft Speed: 55 mph Length: 2747 ft ----------------------------------------------- This is the infamous Diamond Beach Typhoon, heavily inspired by such wooden monsters as the Crystal Beach Cyclone. Known for its ejector airtime, whiplash-inducing laterals, headchoppers, and general insanity, this ride is not for the weak-hearted. Riders must be in excellent physical condition. Otherwise, enjoy your ride on the Diamond Beach Typhoon! Update: Added more pictures! Diamond Beach Typhoon.nltrack The Diamond Beach Typhoon (NL) by vjgx

Nice... I've always loved the WarioWare games, and this one looks better than ever! Definitely on my "buy as soon as it's released" list... By the way, my favorite WW is the original...
