  1. I went and saw it said the meal plan would be valid for 2020 and 2021!
  2. Did it say anything about if you had the meal plan add on to your pass?
  3. Why would they do that when it's plenty of them right outside the gate?
  4. Ok, With a lot of things being discounted for future use I think I may take up a cruise. The issue is I have never did one and said I would never so I know nothing about different cruise lines other than Carnival is like a floating walmart. I would like something posh, possibly with out kids. I do like adventure and shows but I think I would rather have those as options as I would probably want to relax. And suggestions on a cruise line?
  5. I reached back out last month since I saw rumblings on the net that Desperado may or may not have opened and got this. . .
  6. Why would they replace an already awesome water coaster? I mean, Holiday will have 3 this year. Why can't they have 2?
  7. It is a lot of things to do in Charlotte that isn't park related. I wouldn't expect anyone but a local to be able to give you some examples. You really can't listen to a coaster person when it comes to local things to do lol, I would google things to do or look at events going on in the area via FB.
  8. Yeah, from what I saw it seems like a waste when you have something that would be barely a year old that does the same thing but better.

Even though I didn't ride it last year, it's always gonna be Fast n' Furious lol. 12. You're at Great Adventure. You play that racist-ish gong game and win a one hour ERT session for you and your friends on ONE coaster of your choice. But damn! El Toro, Kingda Ka and Nitro are all down! So you ride... Jersey Devil! 13. What is the last coaster that changed your top 10? Don't have a top list. . . 14. Most recent park food you ate. Blue ice cream at Carowinds. 15. Dorney Park or Valley Fair? Pick one and why. I would say Dorney. They have a pretty good water park and the area seems better to explore. 32. Talk about a park food that knocked your socks off. The perogies at Knoebels. 33. Pick one: Kumba or Montu. Montu 34. What are your three least favorite woodies? Don't know off the top of my head. 35. Best sweet snack at a park (degree of difficulty: not Dollywoods cinnamon bread) Does voodoo doughnuts count? 36. Kings Island is on the phone and they want you to decide what is going in the old Vortex spot. What do you add? I would extend the coney mall area and add a shooting dark ride, more family flats and the signature would be a MACK spinning coaster. 37. What roller coaster currently sits at the top of your bucketlist? (degree of difficulty: NOT a new-for-2020 ride) Everyone at Energylandia. 38. Name 3 parks you want to visit in the next 3 years. Universal Japan, California's Great America and Shanghai Disney 39. Name 3 other forum members you hope fill this out. ??? 40. Show us how cool you are by posting a picture of yourself on a coaster or in front of coaster. Bonus points if you're holding a sign with a number on it like the nerd you are
  10. When thinking about the price difference think of this, the stay and screamers get access to at least 2 haunts before the park opens for HHN and they are usually the most popular of the night. With the growing number of houses and with each being unique, I wouldn't want to miss any and possibly hit up a repeat. Stay and scream helps with that. But again, I think they did the scream early thing last year so they may have that option again.
  11. We can't forget B&M coasters are capacity monsters and all of theirs have 3 trains. Now, I know they don't run all three trains on all 3 of their coasters but it has the capacity to make it so you don't experience a line. I wouldn't say they are adding a lot of coasters. Over the last 10 years, they have only added 2 coasters and overall the average between coaster additions is aprox 4 and a half years so until we start seeing Energylandia level of additions then I think we can worry lol.
  12. If you have a day ticket for IOA then you will not be able to enter the studios for HHN until it opens for the night. I think they did offer the scream early ticket last year. I would wait to see what they come out with. Personally, I would opt for the one day 2 park ticket. Some attractions are not available at the studios during HHN and honestly, the crowds are nonexistent at the parks (during the day) when HHN happens. So, what I would do is get the 2 park ticket, do IOA at rope drop then head over to the studios around 2-3 and do the attractions they won't be open for HHN THEN haed to the stay and scream areas.
  13. I know, I know, a thread from the. . . Dead lol. I went to Atlantis during the week of christmas and was able to enjoy a pretty manageable Aquaventure. While the park is beautiful I have to say, it could benefit from a new tower with more modern style slides as I think their last installation was the power tower. Speaking of that tower, It was definitely my main draw as I LOVE water coasters and the thought of having 3 at my disposal made me so gleeful. That was until I got on the first one. The first (and only) slide I experience was "The Drop". While I have been on several other water coasters, this was the first in a small single tube. So, you start off with a drop in darkness. At this point I have no idea where I am as you canNOT see the slides from the ground level. I felt some turns then I saw some light then another drop then blasting back up into the air. After a few drops you are propelled back into the not-so-lazy river. This is where things went to hell for me. Upon exiting I guess I was going extremely fast and I skidded across the rapids before being slammed into the wall. In this area, the river isn't that deep because well I dunno know why but all I remember was flipping and trying to brace myself but instead dislocating my shoulder. At this point both my knees are bleeding, elbows and all lol. My left arm is just dangling and im still falling as the rapids are pushing me around like a rag doll. I finally gain ground and by this time some other sliders had came down to the sight of my arm just flailing around. They were more concern about me than the "life" guard! I have no idea where the tube I was in went but all I know is I was able to get my shoulder back in place and I limped back to my room as I bruised my hip as well. Needless to say, after the dust settled, I think it was an awesome experience but it did slow me down for the rest of the trip. The next time i'm gonna have to go on the slides in the double tube with someone because I never saw those flip! Has anyone else experience this at Aquaventure?
  14. I don't think it was put in the same category as wonder mountain, just stating that's her fav at wonderland.
  15. You do know RMC was as responsible for the launch on Lightning Rod as B&M is responsible for Hulks . . .
  16. From my understanding, it seems like it has physical, practical sets and the glasses makes it possible to see things overlayed over things. Augmented reality basically adds digital elements on top of live, real environments. Here is a video that shows it off. I'm curious to see 1, what the glasses will look like and 2, what elements of the ride will be augmented.
  17. I dunno, it could be because it's the only coaster available so it would naturally have a lengthy line? It appears we would never know since I doubt they would open more coasters (which I think they should have at least 3, especially the one in the controlled environment).
  18. Ah, see Carowinds has the following (that aren't strictly child options) open: Afterburn Boo Blasters Carolina Skytower Copperhead Strike Do-Si-Do Electro-Spin Mountain Gliders Peanuts Pirates (adult ride to me lol) Ricochet Rock 'N' Roller Scrambler Screamweaver Grand Carousel Zephyr Ok, KI may have a rides problem lol.
  19. I know for a fact that it's not a maintenance issue at carowinds. They have gone on record, several times, stating their winter event isn't based around thrill rides and they have mention they have priced it as such.
  20. I'm confused. What/who took 20 years to have a full length dive coaster?
