For the people in the area who frequent HP, what are the crowds typically like on the same Sunday that NASCAR is at Pocono Raceway. Usually the race is sold out @ 150,000 people, so I would assume that would mean a lot less people in the park?? Can anyone verify this? Also, is it safe to think that from all the TR's I've been reading lately that attendance is already down anyway for most of the parks? I am not a patient person and standing in long lines, especially with kids, is not a real good thing for me..LMAO. Thanx to anyone who can be of service.

Well technically they didn't have to pay for Dominator as it was just moved from 1 park to the other. The only expense was tearing down, moving, and rebuildng. I am sure that saved a few million bucks, enough to buy a new one. Also, the "new" rides for this year were transplants also, therefore saving another huge chunk of change.....

I don't see too much into a backwards launch as there would be some extreme forces on the neck and head, unless the can fit each rider with the NASCAR style HANS device LOL!

You can get a discount guide off of their website, just got ours the other day. It has everything from admission to food and game coupons. Just ask for the family getaway guide. Centrifugal force. As the ride spins quite fast, everyone on the bench slides towards the outside of the ride, hence crushing the large person sitting there! I figured as much like a Himalaya, but I am referring to the fact that all parties on the bench would just fly right off the seat into the outside wall of the ride....

With the Razzle Dazzle I didn't notice any kind of restraint to the outside of the bench. What keeps the people from just flying off the bench when it picks up speed, especially on the down slope?

Why was the Bayern Curve removed anyway? They put it right back in its original place. Why can't they also bring back the Rotor and stick it up on that little hill where it once stood. I believe the pathwyas are still there for the entrance/exit lines.

So, with the people in the last year or so that have died doing stupid crap like this, is it really responsible of a major company to produce a commercial promoting "going over the fence" to get cool stuff? Seems pretty idiotic to me.....

Just a little piece of advice about the "cop detectors". Yes radar detectors are illegal in VA and they will confiscate it and fine a large sum of money. And yes Robb is right about the speed traps, they hide all over the main interstates, all day everyday.

Not sure how all the 3rd party policies are, but my wife and I booked a Williamsburg hotel for our honeymoon and they wouldn't allow us the hotel discount for BG because we didn't book directly through them. What we saved on the hotel we ended up spending on tickets becasue of this. Just a little something to think about....

I really like the "older" style footage compared to the fancy made for tv stuff you see nowadays, it just gives the rides some character. BTW, was that the Brady Bunch singing?
