I just saw this link on Screamscape. Evidently some guy is wanting to have Beech Bend closed. http://www.screamscape.com/html/beech_bend.htm This is not good. The guy is evidently being a real pill. Here are letters to the editor supporting Dallas Jones (the first two) http://bgdailynews.com/letters/ The guy bringing up the suit is an ex attorney so this could get drawn out for quite a while.

Thats your opinion. I don't drink Pepsi or Coke. They both are nasty. -

Have you no mercy? The drinks are free. The Gatorade on a hot day is a lifesaver. The only thing bad I can say about HW is when I went to the waterpark last year, the water was as warm as bathwater. Very unpleasent. -

In Nashville, you're only an hour or so from a great GCI (KY Rumbler). Go an hour and a half more and you're at SFKK. Holiday World is an hour west of Louisville. Go south from Nashville on I-65 4 hours or so, and you're at SFOG. PS Pre welcome to the mid south. Also, Thunderhead is just east on I-40. Another fine GCI product. How could I forget? -

Nothing beats "KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park". There is an awesome POV of Revolution during the opening credits. That and the cheesy effects. Classic! -
My caption Oh crap! Here comes the Haunted Mansion boy with a camera. I was hoping he would be sick today.

Seeing that it is a Western theme year, I am guessing "High Plains Drifter" will be the next coaster for Worlds of Fun. CoasterEricHP - Maybe GCI could do a little work on other Cedar Faire rides. SOB, and Mean Streak come to mind. Man, I thought it was a Western themed coaster. But Styx? Why not a cool band like Aerosmith? Thats right, Aerosmith already has a coaster. -
All your base are belong to us Seriously welcome, and bring on the Japan TRs. We want to see the coasters.

Barnaby's takes me back. Good pizza when accompanied by a pitcher of beer. Malnati's, Ginos East, and Giordano's for me. Though, it looks like Giordano's is getting a bit Mc Touristy.

NW Arkansas is nice. There's plenty to do, and more time to do it since you don't have to contend with traffic. Belize It - Eventhough he isn't to Dollywood (12 hr drive) he is about an hour from Silver Dollar City. -

Welcome to the midwest / mid south - the land of reasonable home prices. -
Those are great shots! Nessie might be an Arrow, but it is one heck of a ride. I hope you have some Big Bad Wolf shots.

I was on Disney Channel 23 yrs ago. I was in a stage band for a college TV show called "Coming On". We backed up other performers while the show was shooting at U of I in Chicago.

New Branson Park
mr_teisco_delrey replied to mr_teisco_delrey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I figure with a $600 million investment, this should be pretty sharp. -
I read about this park. It looks like an interesting park. There are more details about it here http://www.news-leader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060914/BREAKING01/60914011 Since it is next to Celebration City, it is unlikely there won't be many, or any rides. Still with this and the other two parks it looks like Branson could reach critical mass for a vacation spot for non country music fans. Just my $.02.

Short line envy! Last time I went, the lines were a nightmare. Even a FlashPass didn't alleviate the situation. What, no Iron Wolf shots? Luv Raging Bull though! Mmm Mmm!
