gmoney422 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Took this pic on May 30th to showcase SFGA's new skyline. What a great array of coasters this park has now. Check it out, it's almost a history of coasters right in front of you! There are 6 coasters in this pic. Can you spy them all? -G "I need me some El Toro" Money Pic of Great Adventure's new skyline taken from atop the Big Wheel.
coasterdude5 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Very impressive, the park really needs a drop tower, though.
gmoney422 Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 Good job finding the 6. But I guess you're right, there are 7 if you count both sides of rolling thunder. I usually just count it as 1.
HCOSurfer90 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Very impressive, the park really needs a drop tower, though. Yeah it does. Even though it has Stuntman's Freefall, it really needs a drop tower bigger and better (I would love an S&S Tower). Anyway amazing photo. It's pretty cool how this park has changed over time.
ECZenith Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 ::joygasm:: Ah, it's so good being 4 hours from such an awesome park. Thanks for doing the impossible and cranking up my El Anticipation.
thomas2 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Wow this park is really ful of great coasters. Too bad it a 9 hours flight to there
Nrthwnd Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Great Coaster Skyline Shot there. I almost missed the 6/7th one there, but found it/them before it was 'circled', heh heh.
Darien Laker Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 It's funny how GASM used to be considered so huge when now it looks so old and rickity on GAdv's skyline. Great Pic.
okinawaboy11 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Wow, It really is an impressive park. Your all right when you say they need an up to day drop dower. A Tower of Power (SFoT) clone sounds right for the park, just with 4 sides instead of 3, like CP.
arrowfanman Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 8....if you count the skycoaster. -Jahan "Sorry...I go back to sleepytime now" Makanvand p.s. Thanks for the pic.
MattJackson Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 There's a huge arch in the photo...can't miss it, that's the Skycoaster.
Neogreeneyez Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I'm going to great adventure on the 24th. Hopefully El toro will be open by then. But that is a great pic of the skyline. Do people actually consider a sky coaster a coaster? Obviously other than the name, but other than that I would consider it a flat ride no? Ehh maybe not.. Neo
mp27 Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Maybe I wasn't looking closely enough, but it didn't appear that Nitro was circled. The coaster on the far right was Medusa, correct? If so, where was Nitro? I'll look again. Woops, I just realized that you meant those were all the coasters in the pic, not the park. Nitro, Batman, and Skull Mountain were behind you.
