Stitch Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I have said it before and I shall say it again, Guy .. you are my hero
Meteornotes Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Â This may be the greatest image ever posted on this site. Well, other than Dio. Â Guy rules!!! Â dt
Guy T. Koepp Posted May 31, 2006 Author Posted May 31, 2006 I also wanted to give a couple of big ups to two employees there. Darlene Reese. I believe she's in PR. We only spoke for a couple of minutes, however I have not met a friendlier person. She greeted me with a warm smile and a firm handshake. You have a beautiful park Darlene. Â Actually Guy, She's the head of operations. Not in PR Â Thank you for correcting my ignorance. I have made the obligitory adjustments. Â Darlene. You run an awesome park! Â And now Part Deux! Cyclone! In all it's Cyclonie goodness. But wait! Who's that mystery person waiting for us at the exit of Cyclone? Stay tuned for Part Tres' tonight. Yay! I would not be denied both of my East coast Cyclone credits! As we got off Batman. (That sounds wrong) We heard a rumbling in the distance. (Not my Ass) Could it be? Yes! It is! Craig dancing like Mr. 6 in front of Cyclone. Yay! Bat credits! Kim! Is that you in a strechy neoprene bat suit? I know I've had your credits, but I crave them again. What's that you say? Oh Batgirl... in that case. Must get Batgirl credits! Must get Catwoman credits! Damn! Just out of reach. If she were three dimensional, I'll bet I could've gotten em. What better way to celebrate DDR2 than Batman. You know how I know it's Batman. That's right. I have a serious look on my face. As we all know, you can't say Batman with a smile. It can't be done. Try it. Seriously, Craig & James rock tha DDR2. They ownz tha game! What a better way to celebrate Thunderbolt than a DDR2 marathon! Check out these mad skilz! Thunderbolt in all it's glory. It may be old, but the ride it gives is still awesome! Good speed throughout, lotsa air, just a fun fun ride! I loved it! After lunch, I was ready for a woodie! Who isn't? I know... you've heard all the having wood jokes to last a lifetime. Wood, wood, wood, penis. See, It wouldn't be funny if I said "After lunch I was ready for a penis." Wait a minute... that's funny! Next stop... LUNCH! This is how we power stuff down in SoCal. You laid back New Englanders with your Clam Chowdah and Lobster Bisque. This is how a man eats! I'd never been on one of these. Awesome ride! What did you think Craig. "Oh, I don't know. I'll just jump around in the back here untill you snap the picture. After the blunt trauma headache provided by Vekoma. I decided to release the pressure a little.
Token Yankee Guy Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Â Wow, James and I are both making the same face. lol
apollo210 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Glad you like the T-bolt. Great air and good speed for a 65 year old coaster!
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 Well, it's been a long day. I'm finaly getting around to finishing the 6FNE pics. Â I want to give a huge shout out to Craig's parents for refusing to allow me to stay in some cheap motel where I might have been solicited by some two bit New England trollop, wanting to have sinful ways with me. Â Wait a minute! Why would I want to thank them for that? That's what I was hoping for. Just Kidding. Â Thank you Janet and Mark Keough. Your kindness is much appreciated. You have a beautiful house, an awesome dog, and two wonderful kids. Â But enough of the thanks! On to 6FNE Pt. Tres'. Take that soft taco! Who's your daddy! Yeah! Oh! You want somma diz? You can't handle the truth! E.T. phone home! Good nite and good luck. Tomorrow... Lake Compounce! Woo Hoo! Go to Taco Bell for dinner! Mmmmm! Processed, Americanized, pre fabricated, freeze dried, Mexican food substitute! An awesome end to an Awesome day! As evidenced by the permagrin tatooed upon my face! We bid Rich "good evening" as he was joining us at Lake Compounce the following day. There was nothing left for us to do but... Any way! More rides! More Spin and Puke! We all pretty much covered the entire park again. Batman, Mr. 666's spin rollercoaster, Cyclone. Oh, and the ariel tram for kicks. It was a day well spent! Oh! This is that guy that every park has that is obsessed with one ride. It's an OCD thing. Like that dude on XL-r8tr at Knott's. They have to ride the ride a certain number of times or they can't continue on with their day or something like that. We More Superman-y goodness. I think it has become my favorite steel coaster. Seriously... this ride realy is super man. Oh God! Kill me before I get too punny. Ha! I did it again! Yay Thunderbolt! Did I mention this ride was awesome! Well if I didn't. It is. NO MORE FLAT RIDES! I CAME HERE TO RIDE COASTERS! LOOK, THERE'S A COASTER RIGHT THERE. LETS GO RIDE IT. Oh, OK Guy. How about a Drop ride to settle your stomach. How does that make you feel Rich? Uh James... I don't feel so well. OMG! It's the George Foreman Greasless Spin and Puke ride of Death! Some chick realy did toss her cookies right in front of James and I. Sorry, I don't have that picture. Or mabey spin and puke rides! Spin and Puke! Spin and Puke! Rich caught up to us fairly late in the day. I had already gotten all my credits... so... what to do? Uhh... Let's start at the beginning. Yay, SRoS! With extra added superheros. Who is this crazy cat waiting for us at the exit of Cyclone? Why it's Rich! Not of the Big & Rich kind, of the SFNE2005 kind.
sfne2005 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Guy, I didn't think you'd actually use that pic of me, I look psycho!
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 It worked in well with the story I was telling. Besides, that's the kinda stuff I love! It cracks me up! Â Had an awesome time riding with you Rich. We'll have to do it again the next time I'm back East.
rollermonkey Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Guy, I'm glad I'm not the only person who likes T-bolt @ 6FNE. It gets bashed so much, I wonder if people are confusing it for the other woodie there.
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 ^ That would be my guess. Honestly there is no comparison between Thunderbolt and Cyclone. That would be like comparing Superman to Poison Ivey. T-bolt easily is the better of the two. In fact, it would definitely crack my top ten if not the top 5. Mmmm... lets see.  1)Boulder Dash 2)Thunderhead 3)Ghost Rider 4)Gwazi 5) T-bolt  Remember, I only have 21 woodies to my credit though. So I don't know how far down Cyclone would be.  Anyway. T-bolt was awesome! More so because I had no pre-concieved idea of how it would be.
rollermonkey Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 ^Guy, I had no idea you were so inexperienced! Especially at your age! SoCal does have it's disadvantages, after all.
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 2, 2006 Author Posted June 2, 2006 Yeah, My steel coaster count is 122. I am desperately lacking in tha wood.
rollermonkey Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Guy's count is 143? Awww... How cute. I U 2! Â You need to get some creditwhorin' done if you're gonna hang out around these here parts. Â So.... Where's Part MCMXCLVII?
jamesdillaman Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 You want wood??? You better get your butt out here for a midwest trip, Guy. Between Mt. Olympus, SFGA, IB, HW, IB, CP, GL, PKI, and SFKK you can really get your wooden count up. -James "Doesn't that sound like a great trip?" Dillaman
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 2, 2006 Author Posted June 2, 2006 In response to the last two posts. Yes! I do need to do some credit whoring. I'm trying my best. Hell, I added 21 in three days. What? Thats not enough for you? Â Fine! Mabey I'll just have to go visit James Dillman with his generous credit whoring extravaganza up there in the Ohio area. You think I'm thretening? Well... I am. I just booked 27 days worth of work through August in the last 5 minutes. Seriously, I am feilding phone calls as I write this post. But I want to get up to the Ohio area and be a whore. Â Anyway... I need to run Errands, but I will post trip day 7 this afternoon.
Guy T. Koepp Posted June 2, 2006 Author Posted June 2, 2006 OK, I have a little time as I am between errands and waiting for a phone call. So here is Day 7 Pt. Un  Enjoy!  We woke up early and made a couple of quick rides on SRoS. The way every day should start in my opinion. I will not bore you with those pics as we have seen plenty. I will say, if you havn't ridden it yet, and you have the means. Get up there and do it. It is an awesome ride.  So we made the short trip to Lake Compounce. Craig, why are you standing there with all of our bags? The answer to this and many... well a few... ok, a couple... or... no other questions will be answered this evening in Day 7 Pt. Deux. Next we rode Thunder and Lightning. If you've never ridden a screaming swing. I highly reccommend it. It's lot's and lots of fun! Like my chins. All three of them. Fly like the wind Boulder Dash! Fly like the wind! And you know what. It does! I loved this coaster! OH MY GOD A TROLL! Fly Boulder Dash! FLY! Or is it an Imp? Oh well... FLY! Yeah guys, I'm a Married Man (With an awesome wife! Love you Alana! Mean it!) A sexy cheerleader girlfriend. (Love ya KP! Mean it!) And a hot chick nicknamed eeks next to me on a wooden coaster. It don't get any better than this. Here's one for all the lift hill enthusiasts. I'm told that there are Trolls and Imps in the forrest that like to taunt all the little boys and girls that ride. It's twoo! It's twoo!! (for those in the know, that's a Blazing Saddles refference) DUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDEEEEE!!! This ride looked awesome before I got on! YESSSSSSS! The reason I came here! I had heard the rumors. Is it twoo what they say? I need to take this moment to apologise to Rich as he was at the park before us and I failed to call him when we arrived. Sorry Rich. Lets go ride Boulderdash! Wildcat. In all it's Garfieldy goodness. See the lake in the background. Lake Compounce. Se the guy in the seat behind us. Supermodel Craigers! Yeah guys, she's sitting next to me. Jealous? BooyaKA! Yes it is! Anyway... first up. Wildcat. The big... uh... Garfield of rollercoasters? She threw it right back inta my grill! Wow! Brains, beauty, and an attitude. The only way this chick coulda been more awesome is if she were a brewmeister for Samuel Adams. Oh, I almost forgot. The newest member to our crew. The lovely and talented Erica (eeks) Keough! Yeah, I know... don't tell me. She's H to tha A to tha double U T! HAWT! Oh yeah! I showed her my signature move. Did you know that Lake Compounce is America's oldest Amusement Park. I did. I have no idea how I know these things. I just do. Superior intellect, or insanity? You be the judge. Yeah, I know. Weird guy in a Corvette. See... Lake Compounce in all it's Lakey, Coumpouncey goodness. Yay!
mcjaco Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 This is seriously one of the best TR's! I've been trying to stiffle my laughter at my desk. Â Thanks for making part of my Friday afternoon at work go by a little faster Guy!
