coasterfreaky Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 No water for now, they're working on some kind of watery surprise for it. Maybe they just wanted to not have the water for the colder times of the year? They would lower the water in the fall/winter, but you would still get a decent splash...that's all i can think of as far as reasons go.
PhilipB Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Rumor has it that the replacement for the water is going to be real fire. That would be legit, if I do say so myself!
Shavethewhales Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 ^I guess, but I don't know if it would make sense for the story line of the ride. I haven't been on Blazing Fury yet, but with FITH the water splash finale is supposed to simulate a dive into the lake outside the burning town. A new water effect would make a lot more sense.
Gigalyte Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 RUMOR (possible name): Wild Eagle Oh so I guess Dolly didn't like my names Wild Turkey Moonshine or Blue Butterfly
PhilipB Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Not sure how I feel about Wild Eagle. It's just, I'm not sure, not as intimidating I guess as I would have hoped for. I'm still hoping it'll be a wing rider though!
ECZenith Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I'm pretty sure Eagle will be in part of the name, but I hope it isn't "Wild Eagle", it's an eagle... of course it's friggin wild, that's like calling a ride "Big Elephant". I am just very happy to see B&M track arriving at an already wonderful park, didn't think we would be getting a wing rider in the US this soon.
BarryH Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Honestly, Wild Eagle sounds like something you'd find at a liquor store.
tntornadox Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 I thought it sounded like a biker gang, myself...
ernierocker Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Honestly, Wild Eagle sounds like something you'd find at a liquor store. You are thinking of Wild Turkey.
PhilipB Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 While Blue Butterfly sounds like something you'd cook up in your trailer. Haha! Screamin' Eagle is cool
Mechanic Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Screamin' Eagle is already trademarked by Harley Davidson as a line of performance accessories for their motorcycles. There are, in fact, eagles in captivity, therefore not all eagles are wild. I sort of like the name Wild Eagle, but I'm sure that whatever DW comes up with will be fine. I'm also sure that no matter what name they come up with, someone on here will complain about it. How about Eagle Hunt?
KDcoasterMAN Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Soarin' Eagle Iron Eagle Screamin' Eagle (with Harley Davidson sponsorship) we'll see.
CP_RULES Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I sort of like the name Wild Eagle, but I'm sure that whatever DW comes up with will be fine. People said the same thing about Busch. Heck, if it's a wing rider then "Eagle Wing Shooter" has a nice ring to it, could even insinuate a launch!
PhilipB Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I highly doubt DW would ever name anything with the words Eagle and Shooter in the title...
jamesdillaman Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Screamin' Eagle is already trademarked by Harley Davidson as a line of performance accessories for their motorcycles. As long as their use of the name doesn't infringe or diminish the Harley-Davidson product, Dollywood is free to use the name under US Trademark law. Trademarks only apply to specific or similar goods and services. For example: the Sirus Sportster 5 Satellite Radio. This is using the same name as a line of Harleys, but it is an entirely different product and therefore not covered under the trademark. This is a common misunderstanding.

KDCOASTERFAN Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Soarin' EagleIron Eagle Screamin' Eagle (with Harley Davidson sponsorship) we'll see. Screamin eagle(SFSTL). Iron eagle(defunct from SFA). Now Wild eagle sounds like something some 10 year old would come up with for NL or RCT2,I'm sure that DW would come up with a mre creative name than that.
Shavethewhales Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Meh, after Mystery Mine and The Giant Swing, I don't know that HFEC has that great of a track record for names these days, but I won't care as long as it fits in with the theme and attitude of the park. Wild Eagle does sound like a project name though, but I never actually saw the papers that were posted with that name on it, so I don't know if the park would even use a project name. Wouldn't be a terrible name, but I always expect better from DW.
jamesdillaman Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 They could call it Big Shiny Coaster for all I care, as long as it's a good ride. Honestly, the name of the ride isn't going to matter at ALL to me while I'm on it. If it bugs you, stay away, one less person in front of me when I go to ride again.
tntornadox Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Ugh, guys.. the official park project name is: "Project 2012 'Coaster' blue track wing thing from Bolliger & Mabillard, lord God of Coasters masterpiece attraction secret classified 'no that isn't blue track behind Thunderhead and how dare you ask' Addition." That is all.
PhilipB Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Curt.... Wow.... That's great. I feel like DW's doing as good of a job of hiding this as the Government is doing of hiding Area 51
