pvcoasterguy Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 ^ Yep. I don't feel like it's a film a whole lot of parents will want to see with their kids. And, the kids need a parent to get tickets to an R rated film (this is how it is supposed to be, anyway).
kennywood!007 Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 ^Thats why I have friends with older siblings . I passed up this movie to go see "Accepeted", and I think I made a good choice cause Accepted was halarious! But I'm still going to see Snakes on a #@$@#*$*$#@ Plane
DATman Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Little Miss Sunshine ownz Snakes on a Plane's @$$...
shesaidboom Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I went to the sneak preview on August 18th and was really surprised with the poor turnout. There were maybe 20 people in the theatre besides my boyfriend and myself. Since it has been so hyped up for so long I was expecting a completely full theatre and maybe some rubber snakes thrown around at opportune moments to scare the crap out of people.
Florida420 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 There was only about 20 people when I saw it too, on a Sunday afternoon, I thought it would be a little busier. I liked it, I don't care who knows. I wasn't expecting much ( at all ) and I enjoyed it, it was not as stupid as you may think. I'll tell ya what, I've seen stupider movies before, too many to list. So there I said it, I like Snakes on a Plane and I'm ok with that. But what do I know, the Evil Dead trilogy is some of my favorite movies. P All "Get This F*#king Snake Off My Di*k!!!"
Jew Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I'd just like to point out that Snakes on a Plane was nowhere near the best movie of 2006. It even failed at becoming a cult classic. Oddly enough, at the same time, it wasn't really a bad movie. Here's the thing... I always thought it would be funnier if Snakes on a Plane was an Academy Award contender for best picture. That would be HILARIOUS. But it's not. So then we fall back on the fact that the premise of Snakes on a Plane+Sam Jackson is HILARIOUS. But aside from a few cheesy moments (which were admittedly pretty awesome), the movie actually tried to have a plot/character development/emotions and the outcome was a watchable movie. So I don't know what to think. I'm totally bummed out it wasn't nearly cheesy enough to live up to its title, but at the same time I was entertained.
MrsPhishy Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Live Rattlesnakes Released In 'Snakes On A Plane' Theater Two live diamondback rattlesnakes were released in an Arizona movie theater during a showing of the new film "Snakes on a Plane," according to Local 6 News. Authorities said pranksters released the young venomous rattlesnakes in a dark theater at the AMC Desert Ridge near Tatum and Loop 101 in Phoenix. The two snakes caused a panic in the dark theater, according to the report. Since I wasn't there, this is funny. But if I was there, yeah I'd have had a heart attack.
vjgx Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 I'll be seeing Snakes on a Plane tomorrow... It better be good! ... And by good, I mean bad. Like, REALLY bad. So bad it's good!
TheMan Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 i just saw it today, I laughed my ass off the whole movie, it was hilarious.
robbalvey Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Seeing how the movie went from #1 to #9 this week tells me it didn't live up to the hype: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/ --Robb
vjgx Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I just got back from the theater, and I must say I was very entertained by the movie. Although it made more sense than I was expecting, it was still very random and had its funny moments. And of course, Samuel L. Jackson's signature line never gets old!
Ed Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I thought it was hilarious. It was a very good movie somehow... I came of the cinema just laughing.
