HARLEYGUYJB Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I believe Gale Force 7 would most likely be a group of slides or something inside a Hurricane Harbor at one of the parks that makes great sense too!
SFSTLMO Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Will they do anything special for the Screamin' Eagle, since it's 40th anniversary is next year?
RollerManic Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 ^^Id kind of like to see some chaser lights, but then again its in the woods.
PhantomPoster32 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I could have sworn it used to have chaser lights
RKO Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I could have sworn it used to have chaser lights It did a long time ago.
SteveStL Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 It had chaser lights way back in the day. Looked awesome too. The lights did not cover the entire course though, just the lift and the first few hills which are over the tree line.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 It seems like a few of the RMC coasters have a weather theme. EX: Cyclone became Twisted Cyclone and the new RMC coaster going up in Kentucky Kingdom is called Storm Chaser. That's just my guess It's Wicked Cyclone, and the Cyclone part had been there for years. I'll give you Storm Chaser, but one example does not make a trend. But hey, you can add Wildfire to this list next year; then you'll have 2!
ChrisGraslie Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Found a video on YouTube from 1998 that shows the chaser lights at night! Check it out:
ChrisGraslie Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 And it does appear from the video that they did stretch throughout the whole ride actually
HARLEYGUYJB Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I know this isn't Six Flags related but I thought I'd share this website I've followed over the years. It's about the old Forest Park Highlands Amusement park in St. Louis. I love old photos of amusement parks. http://www.forestparkhighlands.com/ The website also has information about other parks that were in the St. Louis area as well. It's a must see for sure!
SteveStL Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Yeah, that's a great website. My parents and relatives would talk about going to that park. The Golden Days of Amusement parks
Vonni Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 ^ That is cool! Is that where the zoo (or the zoo parking lot) is now?
Woodie Warrior Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 ^ That is cool! Is that where the zoo (or the zoo parking lot) is now? Nope. The land that the Forest Park Community College sits on is where the park used to be located.
SteveStL Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Search Youtube "Forest Park Highlands Comet" and it will take you to an old Video of the coaster.
jrkstl Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Finally made it out to the park last night to meet friends stopping through St. Louis. Hotter than you-know-what, but we made the best of it. Was surprised to see that Justice League was completely closed. As was Superman TOP. And Sky Screamer. Is Justice League having that many problems? Sure hope to ride it sometime this year... The Boss was running *very* well yesterday. It's impressive how well that ride is kept up! Although I'm a big RMC fan, I hope that they never convert the ride. Eagle was its' squeaky self, but the track was in great shape as well.
HWFan Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 As I mentioned Sunday, make sure you check out the park's website to see which rides are closed before visiting this week. That can be found here: Rides at SFSL Currently JLBM, SkyScreamer, Superman, and Marvin the Martian's Camp Invasion are listed as temporarily closed. While the park obviously doesn't want the intimate mechanical/tech details posted online, I will say that there is absolutely nothing the park or any manufacturer could have done to avoid the Superman/SkyScreamer downtime. I would definitely check the website again tomorrow though. STP-RH-BBNP-JLBM-RH-SS-KCSFKK-RH-FF/GR-HH ^Trust me, don't spend too much time on figuring out what those letters mean, as the doctors say I'm slowly going insane. Seriously, I promise it isn't worth your time.

Woodie Warrior Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 The Six Flags Fright Fest websites have been updated... ...and it looks like nothing new for SFSTL once again. It's kind of disappointing, considering last year all we got was a new name for a maze. HWFan, do you know if they will be announcing anything more?

ChrisGraslie Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 (edited) The site is a lot different than previous years, I kinda liked the old ones better though, dunno that's just my opinion Edited July 30, 2015 by ChrisGraslie
ChrisGraslie Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Six Flags America - 2 New Attractions Six Flags Great America - 1 New Attraction Six Flags Great Escape - 1 New Attraction Six Flags Magic Mountain - 5 New Attractions Six Flags Discovery Kingdom - 2 New Attractions Six Flags Fiesta Texas - 3 New Attractions Six Flags Great Adventure - 4 New Attractions Six Flags Over Georgia - 13 New Attractions (Wow... what?) La Ronde and Six Flags don't have their sites updated yet though Six Flags St Louis, Six Flags New England & Six Flags Over Texas are the only parks that have nothing new. Is it because of Justice League for Texas and St Louis? And Wicked Cyclone for New England? No clue, but im hoping what we do have is better if they're still offering the same thing.
