Is Freeze considered a Hyper?  I think is stands at 220 feet.  Never thought of it as a Hyper but by definition I guess it is.

A hypercoaster has to be a full circuit coaster. Because of that, Freeze doesn't meet the criteria to be a hypercoaster.

I went to the park yesterday & used the Ride Forces app to record forces on The Boss, you can clearly see how much smoother the Titan track is. The first graph is from 2024 recorded by StormSurge9099, & the second graph is the one I recorded yesterday.image.thumb.png.06059eaffc05eca3b89b20818c69ba1e.pngimage.thumb.png.4704d41ee7095e8b02c190d46a93d634.png

Looks like we're finally getting that floorless that users have been asking for.

By this do you perhaps mean Firebird from the soon to be defunct SFA?

Do they scrap B&M's first coaster or keep it alive?  I am interested to see what happens.

Whether it winds up here or not, who knows....  It would be par for the course tho.

From what I hear it's not worth relocating - beyond its service life.

My best guess is that the park is going to be crazy busy tomorrow, right? I want to process our season passes with the All Parks Passport, so we'll be ready for our four night Breakers/Cedar Point 40th birthday celebration next month. I also want to test Eve's 43" bravery, since she really wants to come. She was NOT a fan of Fire in the Hole, so I'm pretty sure Wild Mouse and Iron Dragon are off the table, which unfortunately means no deal. I really don't want to push her.

Should I kill my optimism about being able to ride Rookie Racer, Justice League, Log Flume, and Thunder River without waiting an extended amount of time? The plan would be to get there before opening, head straight to Rookie Racer. Would my order above me the best way to go about it? What are the chances of Justice League being open upon our arrival?

Last year, we went straight to Rookie Racer, because I didn't want her to get too hyped up about waiting in line and watching the train. We walked straight on, and I was dumb enough to put Eve and I in the front row. That made things way worse.

That was for last Saturday. lol

We ended up getting there at park opening. We processed out passes at the gate. The employee never said a word to us. Not one, despite taking our pictures and processing our passes while looking absolutely miserable. It was nuts. First impression of the year.

We went straight to Rookie Racer to knock it out. When we were boarding, Eve didn't want to ride it. We skipped out. Nice. No dice for Cedar Point.

I went to try Joker for the first time. The funhouse was closed off. Prior to entering the loading area, the ride op gave us brief instructions. His tone was that he hated his job and hated all of us. The loading cycle took somewhere between 5-10 minutes, with the restraints opening and closing several times.

The ride itself was insane. The level of nervousness I experienced was on par with a sky screamer, wind seeker, and drop tower. Being on something with that much mass and power held on by a few bolts is unsettling. I could just picture being flung all the way into the parking lot to my doom. The cycle lasts forever. Joker is a top notch flat ride, but I can't say I enjoyed it. It's a thrill, for sure.

We did Justice League. I can't remember if the main queue building had audio or not prior to this, but it did not this time. Cyborg was functioning and the area around him received spring cleaning. There are no more 3D glasses. The instructions still say to use them. All other effects were working well. I think this was the first time I actually saw Joker's gas cannon working properly. Eve enjoyed her first ride on it.

I didn't ride Freeze, but I believe they were running one train and the middle car was closed off. It fooled me at first, since I thought the line was so low they were only sending partial trains. I was tempted to go get a quick ride, but after watching a few cycles I realized the car was closed off.

Log flume was down.

It was too cold to ride Thunder River.

Shazam is something Eve will ride, so she and I hopped on that after a one cycle wait.

We went to the kids area. She rode the airplane ride and her plane wouldn't elevate, just like a couple others. This is usually par for the course.

Whoever designed the play structure and decided to put a solo bench there is sadistic. But, there were a lot of kids having fun.

JB's maybe looked like it got a refresh.

The front entrance and midway looked nice. There were flowers all around the fountain.

There were a few characters out.

We rode the Ferris Wheel, where we experienced the only nice employees in the few hours we were there. Crazy.

Nothing else really stood out and everything looked fine. The parking lot was pretty full when we left, with people starting to park in the Hurricane Harbor parking lot.

It was a fine day. We got Eve a silver pass, since it was the same price as a one day admission ticket, due to the Memorial Day Sale. Emily and I got our Gold season passes with the All Parks Add-On for the big 4-0 trip CP. The three of us are also tentatively planning on going to KI Tricks and Treats. We might go back to SFSTL later in the year if we have time, which is unlikely between our other trips planned and moving into a new house.

Cheers.

Already have a spinner.

I could see that going to Great America, Great Escape or Georgia.

Firebird should replace Ninja. But since Green Lantern wasn't relocated it stands to reason that Firebird is destined for the jaws of life. S:ROS maybe? Well, you can dream I suppose.

mule-go-round

actually thought they resurrected that this past Thurs. . the whole train station reeked of Horses.

(turned out they had freshly manured the flower-beds).

it was a shame, that Boss was down the day I was there - they were trying, but both trains on brake run the whole time.   And had the worst ride I've ever had on any Justice League (only the "Barrel" effect working, and the car didn't STOP in front of any screens - just kept moving.   we told the op she needed to call maintenance for a hard reboot.

otherwise, Eagle and Thunder were both running amazing. . and the best coaster ride of the day was Mine Train !  (shocked me too, but I think the rainy weather made the ride that much faster).

the new coaster is not much, but loved the theming, and Joker looks great over there.
