As some of you might know, the housing market in California is absolutely INSANE!

Karen and I really want to stay in the neighborhood were in now, but the median price for a home is $550K. With the market finally slowing down, a bit, were looking again. We hope to have a new home by February.

Which one do you like?

What are the specs on these house?

# of rooms, bathrooms, square footage, etc...

And are they in location where you are comfortable moving te family too?

We bought our first house two years ago, 120k for three bedrooms two bathrooms, family room and living room, right around 1980 square feet, property taxes are about 1,800 a year. It took us for friggin ever to makeup our minds. but we love the place and are glad we did it.

Happy hunting!

My house:

A hair under 5 acres

Lakefront

Tree-filled

3 Bedrooms, Dining Area, Huge Kitchen, Living Room, Unfinished Basement, Two full Baths, Pool....

$150 K

My aunt who lives in Orange CA just sold her house which was like those pictured for $450K... after buying it in the sixties for $40,000

That is part of why I just wouldn't be able to live in California..

I also voted for #4, with its landscaping and trees, you'll have a nice cooler summer, and overall charm. Sucks to be you though in the Fall, cleaning up all those leaves. Oh well, just another reason to drink!

On a similar note, I just bought a house, doing all the final moving tomorrow.

Corner lot

1 car garage

2 floors

4 bedrooms

2 bathrooms

hardwood floors

1483 sq ft

0.2 acres

basement finished.....with bar!

$134,000
