Finally Buying a House

As some of you might know, the housing market in California is absolutely INSANE!

 

Karen and I really want to stay in the neighborhood were in now, but the median price for a home is $550K. With the market finally slowing down, a bit, were looking again. We hope to have a new home by February.

I vote House 4... for some odd reason, is it me, or do most of those houses pictured look the same.

I like #4 also... it's going for $405k... which is just within out price range.

You need to move to Oregon. You can get a nice three bedroom 2 bath house for under 180k. 405k would buy you five our six bedrooms in an up scale area.

 

#3 looks the best to us.

What are the specs on these house?

 

# of rooms, bathrooms, square footage, etc...

 

And are they in location where you are comfortable moving te family too?

 

We bought our first house two years ago, 120k for three bedrooms two bathrooms, family room and living room, right around 1980 square feet, property taxes are about 1,800 a year. It took us for friggin ever to makeup our minds. but we love the place and are glad we did it.

My aunt who lives in Orange CA just sold her house which was like those pictured for $450K... after buying it in the sixties for $40,000 :shock:

 

That is part of why I just wouldn't be able to live in California..

LOL Ya house 4 jumped right out at me!!! Looks more of a cozy area surounded by trees!! Guess it kinda gives you that secure feeling!

I like House #4 the best. It looks like a nice place, and the landscaping is also nice. But of course, you could get that house in Indianapolis for around 125- 150k.

I also voted for #4, with its landscaping and trees, you'll have a nice cooler summer, and overall charm. Sucks to be you though in the Fall, cleaning up all those leaves. Oh well, just another reason to drink!

They do look very similar but #4 has a homier look. The way the house is laid out on the inside is very important also.

I like #4 the most. It has that suburban feel to it(along with the other 5 houses) and a roomy feel. All the houses look very very very similar.

I'm definitely a 'need to see the inside' person. But I had to go against most everyone and vote for #2. Mostly because I hate nature!! Too many trees!!!!
