1) bubble gums (they are banned in my country)

2) milk shakes at MacDonald's (they were taken out while I was growing up. What the heck!)

3) strawberry cheesecake at KFC (again, they were taken out while I was growing up, for reasons I cannot even comprehend)

Umm, bubble gum is banned in your country? Why?

However, I miss my old apartment and I miss the good old "Deutsche Mark"! Now we all have the damn "Euro" and everything is much more expensive!

WOW, it IS illegal, look

I got this from this article, here is the link to the full story CLICK IT, it has alot more information about Singapore, and whats legal and not legal

Importing, manufacturing, and selling gum are illegal in Singapore. Gum chewing is itself legal, as long as you haven't imported, manufactured, or bought it. Gum is a "perennial nuisance," declares the Ministry of the Environment, which administers the chewing gum ban. Ostensibly, the reason is to keep the streets clean, and because gum could jam up the operations of subway car doors. The ban initially was considered only on the subway system, where smoking, spitting, and all sorts of other activities are already banned. Rumor has it that the real reason gum was banned is because a prominent legislator sat down on a sticky wad on a subway seat in his best suit.

^^ hi Soren, actually I mentioned this in another bubble gum thread a while back but no problem, here's the reason again.

They used to be legal/allowed here but they were banned becos apparently ppl are littering the streets w gums all over the places. And Singapore being a green green city & a "fine" country (fine becos my country likes to impose fines at e tiniest & most trivial offenses), decide to do away with chewing/bubble gums totally & permanently!

You want surge? Coca Cola is testing out a new pop on the market in select areas called "Vault". Reports from Surge fanatics is that it tastes very similar, if not exactly the same. You can really only get it now on eBay. Search for "Coca Cola Vault" and youll find it. I think Im going to purchase some just to see. Plus, if it fails, youve got a little collectors item. (But if its as good as surge, I couldnt not drink every last drop)

I live in one of the areas that they are testing, and got to try Vault a couple of nights ago and love it!! It tastes a lot like Surge, but not exactly, but it smells just like it!
