Which of these three options would you prefer?

  1. 1. Which of these three options would you prefer?

He everybody.

For a college english class I must write a recommendation report in which I must chose and explain the best of 3 options based on three criteria. Naturally, being the coaster nerd I am, I chose coasters to be my topic.

The 3 options are a Compact Wood Twister, Small Rocket-Luanched Coaster, and and SLC. I mostly picked an SLC because its so easy to argue against!

One of my criterion for my recommendation is customer satisfaction. In order to research this criterion I am posting a poll on this site of coaster "experts". Please do the poll and if you have time, explain why you chose what you did. Even though I know what most of you will say (*cough* vekoma sucks *cough*) please explain your choice based on what you like in rides and satisfaction of rides in as professional of a manner as possible.

Thanks for all your help.

I picked Vekoma, largely due to knowing they are so hated. i even hate them.

I believe everyone should ride one, if for no other reason, to appreciate other Mfg's works.

The Vekomas first year run is a great ride. We were very satisfied with GL's Serial Thriller when it first came out. Now, years later, it makes our ears bleed.

Yeah, same with SFKK's T2. It actually held up for a while, but now it doesn't so much make your ears bleed, but the shuffling busts your balls.

I went with small-rocket though it was hard to pass up a compact wooden twister. I love launched coasters though and rides like Kanonen just look insane.

I voted for the woodie. Mostly because that is just my personal peferance.

But how ever, the acclerator would bring in a much larger crowd, and attendace to the park then a woodie, or SLC.

I picked a woodie. They are a lot of fun, and can be as intense as a good size steel coaster. A compact woodie has also given me the best air time I have ever had on a coaster, and they can be a lot of fun. Unlike the other options, the ride is not over in 30 seconds, and they will not give you brain damage.

I cant really vote because I havent been on all of those types but if you wanted a better outcome I would have just said the choices could have been:

steel (looping)

steel (non-looping)

wooden

That way you would have a bigger arguement (well a broader disscusion) vs limiting it to just particular types...

Hey everybody thanks for taking the poll and posting comments. You're all helping me out a lot!

^also, I had to be specific about my three options for theassignment. Plus, the small steel launched coaster will loop, as the ride would be based on Kanonen.

Small rocket because they tend to be better than the big rockets, and they look intense and they have inversions AND air!!!(see speed monster)
