Twister II Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 In the Hershey Park video Elissa looks pretty pissed off on Lightning Racer! What happened to PG-13?
ParkTrips Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Looks to me like she's doing the "choke" move....
ebl Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I can't see Elissa flipping off anything, to be honest. As ParkTrips said, it looks like the choke... Â Eric
SharkTums Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I don't like Hershey Park, and I think Lightning Racer is one of the most overrated coasters on the planet.
ebl Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 ^ Yeah, I know you don't like Hershey, but I still can't see you flipping it off. Â But...did you? Â Eric
SharkTums Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 No, I wasn't flipping anything off, I was doing the choke thing...I know, beam me back to the mid-90's!
Bubba Z Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Besides LR, It's the whole "that's not a Prairie Dog" and "I'm in the yellow" that makes her hate Hershey even more.
Nitro X 230 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I don't like Hershey Park. I really thought I was the only one! I had that same expression on after nearly all of my rides at Hershey (except Wildcat)

saturday97 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I think the official name for that gesture is "gag me with a spoon." 8)
ChrisZer0 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Hey, if shes flipping it off, no skin off our noses. Let people do what they want man. Theres quite a few parks I like to flip off quite often
imbordisux Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I thought "Hersheypark" was slightly overrated when I went a few months ago (crowded walkways, several "ok" coasters), but it was still a lot of fun. Â "Storm Runner" is f'ing awesome, though.
ChrisZer0 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 To me,at least, elissa doesnt seem like the type who'd get pissed off too easy. Robb would only know that answer, so I defer this question to him
XANAX: The Ride Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I think the official name for that gesture is "gag me with a spoon." 8) Â Being from Cali and brain washed by Moon Unit Zappa's song "Valley Girl", I have to agree with you. I have never heard it called the "choke", but that is what makes local vernaculars (sp) a good thing! Right???
Homey G. Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I believe the quote was ... Â "It's not a Prrrrrrrerrrrrie Dog" Â Elissa = accent girl. Â
restoca Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 I don't like Hershey Park, and I think Lightning Racer is one of the most overrated coasters on the planet. Â pourquoi? (why fer?)
SharkTums Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 I just think the whole place is overrated and I've never really had a great visit there. Â As for Lightning Racer, I'm just not a big GCI fan...too much twisting not enough airtime.
restoca Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 I just think the whole place is overrated and I've never really had a great visit there. As for Lightning Racer, I'm just not a big GCI fan...too much twisting not enough airtime.  Good points. I made another visit (4th?) this summer and the excessive crowds and heat mde it very difficult to have a good time. Had the same problem at Holiday World last year. And the claustrophobic queue houses didn't help...
momo1tx Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Strange, my only visit to Hersheypark was one of my best visits anywhere. I think that's because I went for a special event in April, where it was pay-per-ride, with $20 wristbands, and most rides were walk-ons. The only downside was that Midway America was closed.
MattJackson Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 This was in the video? Where? Is Hersheypark worth going to if you live in one of the states east of it?
robbalvey Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 I personally really like Hersheypark a lot! When I lived on the east coast I had a season pass there and would go at least a half-dozen times per year. Â Honestly, it's not an "amazing" park by any means, but it always seems like such a sigh of relief from the corporate giants (not like Hershey ISN'T a huge corporation, but you know what I mean.) Â The coasters there are at least better than average IMO. I really like Wildcat (but ONLY in the very front seat), SooperDooperLooper is a great Schwarzkopf looper (yes, enough though it only has ONE loop), I'm one of the few that actually likes Great Bear, Comet is a decent woodie (although could be better with the trims off), Roller Soaker is GREAT fun, and Storm Runner just flat out kicks ass. Â I do agree that Lightning Racer is probably overrated, but I've always "liked" it. It's not a blow you away ride, but I've always thought it was just "fun" Â So overall, the park is worth going to, IMO. It's usually pretty well run and clean. I would NOT reccomend going there on a Saturday, though. It's not a good park when it's crowded since there is not any line skipping options. Â --Robb
MSLSM Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 ^^It is near the end of the video. Elissa was only doing the gag reflex for about 3 seconds.
zburns999 Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Well, I've been to Hershey more times than I can count, and I've only had one bad visit, and that was on labor day weekend. The crowds sucked! Anyway, I agree with what has been said so far. Hershey is a great park, with pretty good coasters. Although, when you compare it against other parks, it probably has some of the best depth (more than a few good coasters). After a while though, it starts to loose its charm that it had when I was little, but whatever, its still one of the best parks out there in my opinion.
Token Yankee Guy Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Hahaha, I was standing to the right of Robb when that footage was taken. Good times on that trip.
