ThePasswordIsPie Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 On the Phoenix, someone behind me said they flew out of their seat like airtime was rare
IsThisTheRealLife Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 We are going to have a lot of GP coming soon
gerstlaueringvar Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 ^Yup, some news reporter already showe up... 400ft. Texas Giant
MayTheGForceBeWithYou Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 #texasgiant is a gold mine right now. Almost every comment is a variation on: ERMAHGERD SOMEONE FELL OUT, THAT MAKES RIDES DEATH TRAPS AND I'LL NEVER RIDE ANYTHING AGAIN!!!1!!ONE!

IsThisTheRealLife Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 The worst Texas Giant tweet conversation ever poor lady died at six flags on the Texas giant. :;;(( what ride!!! Texas giant that's not in California I know it's in Texas haha I didn't know magic mountain was in other countries states whatever goshhh I never said I'm extremely smart..
IsThisTheRealLife Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 The local news just called NTAG the tallest coaster
Hugecoltsfan Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Omg I was confusing Shoot the Rapids with Thunder Canyon. Shoot the Rapids is like an actual roller coaster and it flipped over. Wtf.
ThePasswordIsPie Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 The NTAG video is a GP Gold Mine F#%$ me! Some of those structures look awfully close to the track. If you had long arms it would be easy to lose a hand or two O.o I think a lot of people would have a noticeable lack of arm. Oh are you referring to the to the Flying Spaghetti Monster with the long arm part? Close this coaster for good. This doesn't look safe at all. A lot of things don't look safe. Bricks, cars, James Bond, and they all exist I know right. Look at how close they're getting the the wooden frame. Someone could easily loos their arm(s) on that ride. loos: Lose. Language of origin: Granglish They tore down the Son of Beast because someone hurt their neck...so this one is definitely going bye bye. My cat scratched my hand and it hurt. Out the window it goes!
theymitbgi Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Was at SFSL today and overheard this: "they changed Mr Freeze".... thought to myself okay it's been over a year since they turned it backwards but she continued " it used to be like Batman with your feet dangling, now you sit in a cart".. wow..
Kumba2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 I was at SFStl ridin screamin eagle with my friend and this was the conversation that these two girls had in the row behind us about it. Girl1: OMG that drop is like straight down. Girl2: I know right the loops on this scare me the most. Girl1: I hope we don't fall out I hear people fall out like every year and you never hear about it.
coasterfansince1999 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 the comments on Robb's NTAG POV video. They should have had an overhead restraint. The dumbass ride operated killed jr The GP loves to make rumors when this happens. So does the media. It's a shame.
ThePasswordIsPie Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Quick question: How does that bobsled stay on the track? Are there magnets in the pipe that keep it on course? Whats with the GP and magnets i've been on this ride many times but i was wondering how it was controlled. I was thinking it was controlled by magnets, but is it freefalling. If anyone knows please tell me. Seriously! electromagnets controlled by the operator
IneedTPforbunghole Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 And then below the magnet talk there's a war arguing whether or not paint makes a coaster smoother.
imagineerz Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 On the TPR NTAG video: Yeah, I completely agree. An overhead restraint on most coasters wouldn't be a bad idea, and a much safer option.
IneedTPforbunghole Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) This is always what I think of when I hear "overhead restraint." Edited July 26, 2013 by IneedTPforbunghole
TyRush Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 HAHAHA^ From the NTAG TPR video on Youtube Fat people should be banned from rides. Lose weight, have fun or sit on your couch and eat chips.
IsThisTheRealLife Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 This is always what i think of when I hear "overhead restraint." I want the ride manufacturers to put over head restraints and it turns out to be that (Of course, We need a picture to show that)
XYZ Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 GP moments from today's visit to CGA: While on Drop Tower, this person unbuckled their seat belt and everyone was freaking out because they though the seat belt was the only thing holding the OTSR down. Everyone was shouting to e-stop the ride, though the ride ops ignored them. Obviously, nothing happened, though it was hilarious to watch all the GP freaking out. In line for Gold Striker: *points to midway turn* "Look, it goes upside-down!" "Some of the wood from Grizzly was put onto Gold Striker"
Angry_Gumball Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Last Thursday, furing the CGA ERT event I saw some people 'inspecting' and 'critiquing' the ride's structure, uncertain of its durability. They first point out the obvious (that it's wood, thinking wood is weak) followed by me hearing them say "Oh, and it's got styrofoam holding it together too!" (further questioning the ride's durability). The "Styrofoam" is only a sound dampener but I opted to look the other way and grin instead. Then I see people get in line for GS, and leave as the line's 'too long.' On the flipside, everybody gets in line for Grizzly and stays...like its got some kind of suction force. Yea, I'll spend my 40 minute wait for Gold Striker instead
cmullin Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 From the NTAG TPR video on Youtube Fat people should be banned from rides. Lose weight, have fun or sit on your couch and eat chips. Whoever said that is just mean.

JJLehto Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Beat me to it, was gunna say just check out a NTG YT video for plenty of...interesting GP comments.
fraroc Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 HAHAHA^ From the NTAG TPR video on Youtube Fat people should be banned from rides. Lose weight, have fun or sit on your couch and eat chips. Even though he's talking about NTAG. This comment unfortunatley is Cedar Point to a T.
australianalex Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 A Facebook comment on a photo about a new Gerstlauer Eurofighter in Adventure World, Perth (note that the page has stated it was built in Germany, otherwise the idiot who said this comment wouldn't know any different) - Andrew Charles I will not go on it keep jobs in Australia not Germany wrong Jesus christ, how stupid can one person be? I invite him to find one coaster manufacturer here in Australia. Besides, most of the construction workers would be Australian. And finally, who actually cares?
