Invertalon Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 (edited) Cedar Point hosted an amazing event today... It was extremely well done and allowed for endless rides of Gatekeeper throughout the day with the addition of Raptor and Millennium Force as a surprise toward the end of the event. The ride was excellent to say the least. The new front gate is simply stunning and is MILES better than what was there before. The entrance really signifies what Cedar Point is all about. The entrance plaza to Gatekeeper is simply beautiful as well. The open beach front looks fantastic and the decor around the ride is very well done. Cedar Point has a big winner on their hands that will surely draw a crowd. The improvements to the front of the park are significant and is a much welcomed addition. Some photos from the event... XYZ Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 You always show spectacular photos and these did not disappoint. That 2nd photo is definitely my favorite.
bottom_feeder_13 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Really spectacular photography, especially the night ones and the closeups of the trains going through the rolls. Really, the beauty of some of those shots just broke the the internet.
KC_Engineer Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Absolutely STUNNING photos! Wish I had that kind of skill. Thanks so much for sharing!
Jhcbiinoc Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Very nicely done. I wish I had those photo skills! I have to say that the more pics I see, I am not only blown away by what B&M has done here, but also what a magnificent job the park has done with the entire area around the ride!
necoastergp Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 These photos are awesome. Especially like the ones taken at night.
davisal771 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Your photos always leave me awestruck. Keep it up!
AussieMum Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 That may be as close I get to this ride. WOW Thank you
Erik Johnson Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Amazing photos!!! Wow!! I know it would be a little bit of work, but could you go back and post them directly on the forum instead of linking it from Flicker. We have had problems in the past that the photos disappear after some time when linked.
TBpony414 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Stunning photos! They are exquisite and I really love the use of light to highlight parts of track, trains, etc. You definitely have an eye for this kind of stuff. The shots of the train going through the twists makes them look sort of Transformer-futuristic in a way. Thanks for posting, really enjoyed!
bonsaiisuperstar Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Wonderful pictures! Nice work! It's such a beautiful piece of machinery.
Midgetman82 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I'll jump on the bandwagon and say you have beautiful photos for an all around great ride! Thanks for sharing them!
Philrad71 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Great job as always...glad you could be there for media day!
Invertalon Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Thanks again everybody! I am happy to share these photos with everyone. It is probably one of the most beautiful rides, that is for sure! Especially at night. Stopping by CP both Saturday and Sunday I could not get over how much better the whole front of the park looks without Disaster Transport and the needle (plus the main gate, huge improvement).
caffeine_demon Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Looks a great ride! Coasterforce had a good visit to the park on the 12th. Actually I lied - Most of the rides (including gatekeeper) were closed all day because of the wind!! glad I wasn't there!!
Lenaapple1974 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 AS USUAL: LOVE IT! I cannot get there for another year at least. Seriously. Tease.
Invertalon Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Looks a great ride! Clusterfarce had a good visit to the park on the 12th. Actually I lied - Most of the rides (including gatekeeper) were closed all day because of the wind!! glad I wasn't there!! Yeah, we stopped by again Saturday night for a few hours and Sunday morning... In those times, nothing ran due to wind. It was OK though, we went mostly to see old friends and such anyway... Plus we rode some of smaller rides and had a great time regardless. I felt bad for all the paying guests though that expected to ride something lol
