Dubailand, new themepark, Aqua Dunya

^O.K. maliboomer, lets not be misleading by saying it's in Australia, when clearly it's located in Jamaica!

I mean the posters name is "dubaidave", that's a colorful metaphor itself. Plus dubaidave is famous for his visit to "Fantazy Land", (which sounds similar to Alice In Wonderland), where I believe he had a very strange trip......

OMG I just have to visit dubai when this project is finished! An Aquatrax, Roller Soaker and a huge park like that, this thing is going in my must-do list!

Wow that older model looks straight out of RCT!

Looks like it'll be a very cool park and I wouldn't mind seeing Dubai so maybe when I'm out of college and this is built then I can go.

Anyone else think its somewhat strange that the boat/hotel has a lot of sails but paddles on the side a la a steamboat?

Knowing Dubai, this place will turn out looking every bit as good looking as the models and likely much better. They realise that the oil isn't going to last forever so this is their outlook on the future.

This park continues to amaze me. The models make this look like it will blow disney away, and they will have everything you'd want at an amusement park resort.

Hey, I just looked at the Dubailand Wikipedia page and found this disturbing image:

It says "self made photograph" by somebody, but if that's a real rollercoaster, then I'll just stay away from Dubailand

^ It says: Duabiland from helicopter, SelfMade" i.e someone took it for themselves, and it hasn't been photographed by the park.

Anyway, whats wrong with it? Looks like an Intamin.

Yeah, okay, so it could just be the circular loop and sharp curves that turn me off. Hopefully that's just a figure/enterance adornment, since I believe they aren't so stupid to make a ride like that real... it just looks W R O N G in my eyes.

I've seen the other pics of the entire project and it's much much bigger than the pics here.

I know if it's buit the way the drawing show and is done by 2018 it will be incredible.

However, looking at these pics, some of it seems a bit tacky or like it actually was put together in RCT.

That is definately some kind of decoration. That coaster is physically impossible... ouch.

Yeah, that is the sales centre.

Its not a real coaster just made to look good.

Wow, didn't see that topic Looks like track designs (not layout, but rails/ties/etc) aren't copyrighted; I want to see what a Chinese rip off of B&M looks like, that would be weird... which hopefully Dubailand won't be, by sticking to tried and true manufacturers.

I'm with pete4winds on this one. I've been to Dubai a few times, and I'm definitely up for a repeat visit!

The 'attractions' at this complex get weirder all the time. It'll be a while before it's done, but definitely something to watch!

I find that so strange they would put so much detail and energy into mocking up a full scale coaster. When you say sales center, do you mean the place where park-goers will buy their tickets for the park?

Can't wait to see the actual park start to come up!
