Florida420 Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 or what about... "for one so big, it sure is a smooth ride" 8) OK I'll stop now P All "please like me"
kat11joe Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 How about rides/attractions we will never see esp in America?
AllisonY2K Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 ...or.... Astroworld's New Corporate Sponsorship. which company may buy Astroworld? for example: Astroworld - brought to you by the makers of Viagra or Google's Astroworld you get the idea. just trying to stay with current news.
FlyingScooter Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 How making avatars for Rides that will never happen: Like a suspended coaster with Flyingscooter tubs, giving you some control over flight. could be fun...
ParkTrips Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 "What will Paul Reubens endorse next?" That's the same thing I thought of. I'll second it 8)
thunder001 Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 How about "Robb and Elissa's new movie role". Place Robb and/or Elissa into a movie poster and change the title, with the most original one winning. Maybe something like.... Robb Alvey in "VEKOMAINATOR" He will shake you to death.... Just a thought..
CoasterFanatic Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 May I suggest a couple official photoshop contests. The avatars are great, but some of these concepts just don't translate so well to the small size.
robbalvey Posted September 24, 2005 Author Posted September 24, 2005 ^ I've been thinking the same thing, which is one of the reasons I haven't posted a new one yet. As much as I like the avatar contests, I think it's time they evolve into something bigger and after seeing some recent "photoshop" work, I do think it's time to take the next step. So maybe we do a "photoshop contest" - same rules apply, it's for fun and the winner might get something cool, or they might get a swift kick in the ass, it's all up to how we feel that morning! Should we start with something 'generic' and simple? --Robb
Nemmy Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Yes, Robb, I do. First topic: What you can do with a digital camera and a Playstation 2 game...
FlyingScooter Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Photoshop contest sounds good to me. I really noticed the translation problem when shrinking my pics to ava size during the 6flags ava contest.
Token Yankee Guy Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Photoshop Theme: Half-Assed parks.
CoasterCrazy Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 A "photoshop contest" sounds like fun but I don't have photoshop!
CoasterFanatic Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 ^ It is only a matter of speech. You could use any photo-editing software. Like this: http://www.gimp.org/
Meteornotes Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 I'd be interested in a photoshop contest. It would force me to practice more with the program... dt
BarryH Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 How about "Robb & Elissa's Halloween Adventure." We can dress them up in Halloween costumes or put them in Halloween scenes.
robbalvey Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 Ok, so does anyone have anything against a "Theme Park Review - PhotoChop contest?" And perhaps we'll start off with "Theming We Hope You Never See!" as the first one? As an example: "Cheese Grater Express" "Journey Into The Center Of The Wal-Mart" "Twilight Zone Tower of Paste" "Mr. Sex's Rock N' Pleasure Drome" "The Great Big Epcot Golf Ball Made Of Cheese" Any type of ride, and any type of theming gone wrong! Is that "generic" enough or should we go for something different? If everyone likes that idea I'll start a new official thread. Please do NOT post photochopped pics in here!!! Thanks! --Robb "Calling it PhotoChop so people don't think they HAVE to use Photoshop in order to participate!" Alvey
Erik Johnson Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Sounds good, any idea where I can get a sharware version of a photochop rip off?
robbalvey Posted September 25, 2005 Author Posted September 25, 2005 Sounds good, any idea where I can get a sharware version of a photochop rip off? I think you might be able to get trial versions of PhotoShop here: http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp --Robb
robbalvey Posted September 26, 2005 Author Posted September 26, 2005 Unless people think this is a stupid idea, I'll post the first PhotoChop contest tomorrow. --Robb
ebl Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 "Journey Into The Center Of The Wal-Mart" I've been there. It's not pretty. In fact, that might be too horrible a sight for many of our viewers... But "PhotoChop" sounds like a good idea. I have Photoshop Elements here at home. It's not that expensive to buy, and I think it will do pretty much anything you'd need to do. I'm still working with it. Eric
memphish Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 If you don't have photoshop, you can google GimpShop. It has almost all of the functions of photoshop, and is free.
CoasterFanatic Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I posted a link to "The Gimp" on page 4. It is a free, and very good alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
