^^ You pretty much said what RCT4 should be. Freedom of where and what to build combined with the entire park experience. Although I also believe that it should also combine aspects of Thrillville, so that you can fully interact with the peeps in the park, and be able to play all those midway games. I also think that they should follow No Limit's color choices, where you can choose from thousands of different colors, instead of about 30 or 40.

What i want:

DARKRIDE SETTINGS

- Darkness inside buildings.

- Controlled lighting

- Different clored lighting.

- Speakers on coaster seats.

- Interactive scenery.

- Playlists for speakers.

- Synchronized music with rides.

SCENERY/ SCENERY TYPES

- Midway Theming.

- Old New York Theming.

- More Egyptian Theming.

- Old Rusty Warehouse Theming.

- Old American Theming (kinda like Main Street).

- Additional ride theming (track warehouse, catwalk, extra trains, etc).

- 3D Shapes Theming.

- More Realistic Scary Theming.

- Roman/Greek Theming.

- Darkride Theming (See first section).

- Diagonal Building Options.

- Holiday Theming.

- Construction Theming.

- Modern Theming (similar to Cty Walk).

- Actual working doors on walls instead of people walking through them like ghosts.

- Walls on same square without cheat.

PATHS

- Cement paved lines (honestly, how often do you see tiled lines?).

- Skinnier paths and lines (like, half square).

- Diagonal/Curved paths.

- Different path textures.

- Path borders.

- Line Breaks up into lines per row in station.

ROLLERCOASTER OPTIONS

- Customizable rollercoaster cars (seats, shell color, front logo, restraints, etc).

- Coaster building similar to NoLimits (Its not that hard, all you'd have to do is limit the station to the grid).

- If that isn't possible, then at least a LOT more track elements, and more realistic ones.

- Customizable supports.

- More advanced launching options.

- More realistic stations.

OTHER RIDES

- Customizable haunted mazes.

- Skytower-type ride.

- Tower Of Terror-type ride.

- Freefall-type ride.

- Large Carousel.

- Double Decker Carousel.

- Sun Wheel.

- Spiderman-like ride.

MISC.

- Mexican Food.

- Actors (people take pictures with roaving actors).

- Scary actors (roaving actors that scare people).

- Arcade Games.

I don't think that will ever happen, due to profit of each individual seller. If it stayed two separate games, the buyer will want both games. If it is morphed into one, that means half profit goes to them both, because the buyer only buys one game. Or they increase the price, and they get less buyers.

As for RCT3, the only thing that completely bugs me is the brakes for coasters. The normal brakes barely slow the train down and the block brakes stop it instantly.

I will print some of these off and type a nice professional letter explaining everything and MAIL it to atari! That might be more effective that e-mailing them, or posting them in an atari forum. But that's just my opinion. Do any of you guys care if I use your ideas? Please contact me if you do.

i think atari and the no limit guys should team up to make it

completly agree with that staement, b/c No Limits is waaaaaaaaaaay better, except that you can't really build a park, just one coaster (sad days)

anyways....

don't know if this has been posted, having a turn and corkscrew together smooth. also being able to but inversions on half a turn ya know kinda like this.......

just over all more realistic

halfintoloop.bmp

a loop in a half turn

corkscrew.bmp

the smooth turn into the corkscrew

When i switched from RCT1 to a demo of RCT3, i literally said WTF when i saw the graphics, i liked the RCT1 graphics better than RCT3, by far.

Everyone has had good ideas, but you also have to think about this from a developer's standpoint. You'd think that if they incorporated all those in-depth ideas into one game, it would be 5 discs, and you'd need a complete upgrade to use it(not that you dont already with RCT3). I would love all those ideas in one game, but combine that with good graphics, and you have one bloated game.

Like everyone says, more realism because comeon! RCT3 was soo unrealistic, yea the new rides and stuff is the only thing that made me buy it (I actually never play it as much as I used to now) but other than that the game is crap.

I think if they were going to make RCT4 it should be more like No Limits.

i'd like to see:

turnstiles

height measurements

the gates to go into trains

car parks

cars(as in driving around the car park trying to look for an empty space)

first you like design the track, then take month to get it up

grand openings

fast track tickets

to be able to build a gurstlaur eurofighter

able to make hotels

able to operate rides(restraints and yadda yadda yadda)

raising floor for b&m inverters

climbing into seats

certain rides closing at rainy days

entrance lines

I agree. NL has better graphics than RCT 3, Plus they need a booster bike coaster (sorry Vekoma haters). RCT 4 should also team up with a theme park chain (like Cedar Fair or another Six Flags version). I'll expect more from Atari next time.

Sorry to break it to you all, but their will never be another RCT4. Atari and Chirs Sawyer arent going along with each other and its all been a big mess. If thier is going to be a RCT4 it's going to have to be a miracle.

I have no idea if this has already been said before b/c i don't feel like reading 27 pages.

By the way, im Ziggles and im new to here so hello everyone.

Something would be nice if you design your roller coaster, then footers would start being poured, track starts arriving on site, guest will wonder what the new ride is, supports will start going up, track is being put up by cranes and workers, testing, and finally grand opening!
