Twister II Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Im planning on putting in an entry for next years video competition(if there is one). So Ive been doing a lot of WMM experimenting. Just a qucik question, what was the min/max length a video can be? This is just for pratice.
robbalvey Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 The contest rules are still on the contest page: http://www.themeparkreview.com/contest2005/contestrules2005.htm --Robb "Hope this helps!" Alvey
Twister II Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 One more thing, How do you choose the pics to go with the video? Do you just take it like 15seconds in? Or let the submitter choose?
robbalvey Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 ^ We just choose a good photo from the video. It's totally at our discretion. We try to choose photos that have good variety with each update. For example, this year we did 5 at a time, and we don't want 5 "coaster pictures." They need to be of many varied things to show what the videos may be about. --Robb
TheStig Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Im making a BGT video for next years contest, but what is it that you look for in a good video? I know a video of people having a good time is what I like to see, but in mine there is only coasters and flats...is that good? But right now Ive got more to capture before I can complete it and it includes a POV of Scorpion, Python, Montu and Sheikra (all with permission of course). Colin"I have a good CP video though..."C
robbalvey Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 ^ There is nothing specific. Have a look at the entries last year, there were plenty of videos that didn't include any people at all that made it quite far near the top! --Robb
benzo41190 Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I am making a fair season 2005 video. Can this be entered even though it isnt coaster related.
SharkTums Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 ^How can it not be coaster related if it's at the Wisconsin State Fair!?!?! Didn't they have like 17 credits there!!?!??
jarmor Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Its funny this topic came up because I started working on my entry for next year last night. And next year im gonna have a "theme". Hopefully I can walk away w/ something lol lol...
tinhead Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I was one of the entrees that didn't have people in the video, all i can say is if you do go that way with your video make sure the music complements the way the coasters move, throw in some tidy editing and make sure you have enough footage. Its a bummer when you get 2/3 of the way through editing your movie and your struggling for clips. hope this helps.
benzo41190 Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 no 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (3 kiddy, 2 powered, and 2 full sized) but there is only like 30 seconds of the Wisconsin State Fair. I will have 7 fairs in my video so there will only be like 3 coasters in the video. The video is mainly of flat rides, mainly because most of the coasters are the same. The video actually will mainly be POV of the flats and 1 POV of a coaster.
zaneymon Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I might do a video of next years Horowhenua A.P&I show . maby just maby

Jew Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Im making a BGT video for next years contest, but what is it that you look for in a good video? Cher songs and bad jokes that are repeated over and over and over and over again.
