When constructing a hyper coaster, how can one predict the amount of airtime per hill? Is it a formula or rule of thumb?

I'm not sure why you'd want to ask Rocky Mountain this question?

Posted

Rocky Mountain- With the makeover of New Texas Giant being a huge success and the enormous amount of hype for Iron Rattler and Outlaw Run, do you see yourselves becoming the most recognizable brand in the roller coaster business within the next few years if Iron Rattler and Outlaw Run are as successful as New Texas Giant?

Posted

2nd question for Rocky Mountain- With the popularity of New Texas Giant and the hype for Iron Rattler and Outlaw Run sky high, do you guys think we are starting to see the extinction of traditional wooden roller coasters?

Posted

For Rocky Mountain Coasters: Do you guys have as much fun with the "But the wheels are gonna' hit the bolts!" comments as we do?

Did Silver Dollar City request 3 inversions and cray banked turns, or did they say "give us something crazy" to you, or was it a combination of a request and the minds of RMC?

Posted

Second question for RMC- Is there any maintenance (weekly, monthly, annually, off season etc.) that is required for topper track after it has been in installed ?

Posted

To RMC: So far, your trains have been built by Gerstlauer. Are you planning on building your own trains?

Posted

Here's another one for RMC- If you could choose one existing wooden coaster in the world to "re-profile" with your iron horse track system what would it be and why?

Hey everyone!

IAAPA starts up next week and this year we're gonna change things up a bit! Normally, we do interviews with all the major ride companies, and to be honest, most of the interviews from year to year are very similar, because they can't really talk about that much coming up, and we already know about what they've already built.

So this year we're gonna give the opportunity for YOU to ask a question! Here's how it's gonna work....

RULES! (Because we need them!)

1. We'll post to this thread a ride company that we are currently gathering questions for.

2. Ask away! As as much as you want, but EACH QUESTION MUST BE IN A SEPARATE POST!

3. Once we've closed the current question period for one ride manufacturer no more questions may be asked of that ride company.

4. We will pick FIVE questions to ask each of the ride companies from the questions submitted to the forum.

5. Those questions will be asked as part of the interview videos we do on the IAAPA show floor.

6. Anyone who deviates from these rules will be disqualified and their questions will be thrown out.

Everyone got it? GOOD! Now....

What question do you want us to ask B&M at IAAPA 2012?

START ASKING QUESTIONS!!!!

(Be sure you've read the rules before you post!)

Bolliger and Mabillard- Do you have any plans to release something new and innovative soon like a new type of coaster (winged in 2011) or even trying a new design for a launched coaster?

You have been building many rides in the United States lately, but they have had little to no real intensity. Are the parks requesting for less intense rides, or are you going by your own specifications?

Posted

Question for B&M : Your dive coasters are so fun and thrilling, however we have only seen two built in the USA, what do you think is the reason behind this?

Posted

B&M: Do you see the next big innovation in steel coaster design being in train design/seating arrangements, new track elements, or something else entirely?

Posted

Question for B&M: Do you feel like your company has lost originality when you get asked to build another Batman The Ride inverted coaster clone?

Posted

B&M: When you first ride a ride you've designed are there ever parts that surprise you, or is the experience always exactly what you expected?
