coasterjunkie1975 Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Monster 4 game series between my Blue Jays and the Yankees begins tonight. Hopefully the Jays can take at least 3 out of the 4 but I have'nt been too impressed by their play the last week or so.
bbomser Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Well then, as a Mets fan, I'm not used to this whole "meaningful baseball in September" thing, but it sure is something I can get used to though!
bbomser Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I've been waiting 9 years for meaningful October baseball for the Mets, and I'm darn glad it's here.  Anyone want to play the prediction game? Here are my predictions.  WC: Cubs over Pirates Astros over Yankees  ALDS: Toronto over Texas in 4 Kansas City over Astros in 3  NLDS: Mets over Dodgers in 4 Cubs over Cardinals in 5  ALCS: Kansas City over Toronto in 5 Mets over Cubs in 6  WS: Mets over Kansas City in 5
Meteornotes Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Yeah, go Cubs! Though since the Orioles are done, I pretty much stop paying attention to baseball now until next season. Â dt
jray21 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 And since I'm an A's fan, I've pretty much just stopped watching baseball.
Jew Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 And since I'm an A's fan, I've pretty much just stopped watching baseball. Â Too bad...you would be a 10% increase in attendance for them!
jray21 Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 Sad, but true. Although, because they are so crappy, the tickets and game deals are awesome!
Genx24 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Went to both games 1 and 2 of the NLCS. What an incredible atmosphere. Easily the two best baseball games I've ever been to. Lets Go Mets!
Jew Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Well, at least we won't have to hear about BTTF anymore after today.
bbomser Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Well, at least we won't have to hear about BTTF anymore after today. Â Â I absolutely can't believe that the Mets are the National League Champs. Quietly hoping the Royals win the ALCS, and not just because that's what I picked at the start of the postseason. Â LET'S GO METS!
Meteornotes Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Well, at least we won't have to hear about BTTF anymore after today. Â You have no idea how happy I would be if this were true. BTTF 2 is a TERRIBLE movie. Glad we're past that date. Â dt
Jew Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Happy that a high school classmate of mine (Mike Moustakas) won. Sad Dodgers didn't. Happy Dodgers dumped Mattingly (good people manager---not a good in game manager).
pdcon Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Giants are going all the way this season, Best home grown talent in all of baseball...GO GIANTS
Genx24 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I'd rather have the best starting rotation in the league. Mets 2016!
Jew Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Giants are going all the way this season, Best home grown talent in all of baseball...GO GIANTS Â The Royals and Mets would both beg to differ. Lots of good homegrown talent for them as well.

Lots of good homegrown talent for them as well. Â As would the Cardinals and Cubs. Defiantly not the cubs, I can only think of 2 major players Chris Bryant and maybe Kyle Schwarber, they have maybe 4 players on there roster that they drafted, but only the latter are worth any type of buzz. Â But I do agree on the mets, cards and royals as an argument for best home grown talent. I would still say the giants have the Overall best homegrown talent, with the cards being a close 2nd.

Homegrown doesn't necessarily have to mean being drafted and coming through the same system with the same team. If a team trades for a prospect and that prospect develops in their system and becomes a major leaguer, that player is considered homegrown. I will say that in the Cubs case, it is a lot easier to draft/trade for 1st round prospects, develop them and get them to the majors. But still, they're still considered homegrown players by many in baseball and the Cubs actually have quite a bit of "homegrown" players that are really talented. Oh an I'm a Cards fans, so please don't think I'm being biased toward The Cubs.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 And the new season is here! Cardinals and Pirates at noon tomorrow, first one that counts. PNC has the best view from home plate of any MLB stadium. Â And whose wonderful and evil idea was it to open the season with the Royals and Mets as the evening game? Give that person a raise!
Genx24 Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 ^ Schedule was made before last year's playoffs, but I think it's great having a World Series re-match on Opening Day. LETS GO METS!
BelizeIt Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Well my Red Sox did some nice retooling during the off season, and built a good foundation for this years run. I think the team to watch is the Cubs. It would be pretty amazing if Theo Epstein (who the Red Sox originally hired as their GM at age 28) could work the same magic for the Cubs........we'll see.
Genx24 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Anyone for some predictions? Here are mine: Â AL: Blue Jays, Royals, Angels, Astros (WC), Tigers (WC) NL: Mets, Cubs, Giants, Dodgers (WC), Cardinals (WC) Â Playoffs: Astros over Royals, Mets over Giants WS: Mets over Astros
Angle O. Descent Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Jays win World Series. All they have to do is not leave 15 runners on base every game in the playoffs. It's that simple.
