Wes Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 What's everyone doing for Halloween? Anyone dressing up? Carving pumpkins? Share your Halloween plans and pictures in this thread!
gisco Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 With Halloween on a Monday this year, I might actually have time on the weekend to carve a pumpkin. Other than that, I plan on staying home and giving out candy.
Hilltopper39 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 I've carved some cool pumpkins over the years (they probably really suck but I'm proud of them! so keep your insults to a minimum and my feelings will thank you later). Manta Pumpkin, this one kinda sucked, but was a little ambitious in all reality My college mascot, Bid Red from Western Kentucky University, go Tops! Megatron, from Transformers not Calvin Johnson. Might attempt a Calvin Johnson Megatron pumpkin this year "I have been blessed with many things in this life an arm like a damn rocket, a c*ck like a burmese python, and the mind of a f*cking scientist." -Kenny Powers And finally, you wanted the best, you got the best, the hottest Pumpkins in the World, KISS! The best Pumpkin I've ever carved was the Hitchiking Ghosts pumpkin from the Haunted Mansion but I can't find any pictures of it, maybe I'll do it again this year.
harper83087 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 My and my older brother always go all out for halloween. Decorate the house, have a block party and just have a blast all night. This year I'm dressing up as this goblin/troll gatekeeper thing and going to act like I'm digging a fresh grave in the cemetery that is in the front yard. Last year was a total riot, I had a scarecrow skeleton mask (theater quallity that glued to my face) and stood in the yard like a prop. When the group of trick or treaters walked down the sidewalk to the door I'd follow them and just stand a foot away as they turned around and did the Jason Vorhees head cock to the side.
no_brain_er Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Well, since I live in Atlanta-area Georgia, I could always visit the one-and-only Stockbridge Tribulation Trail. Nothing like seeing the Book of Revelation being acted out on a half-mile trail, followed by pastors trying to rededicate me at the end. On second thought, I'll just buy a bag of candy and watch a scary movie. Sounds good.
ParkTrips Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Just when you think you've seen it all, someone shows up with a pumpkin carving of Kenny motherf***in powers. I'll probably use it as an excuse to drink. I haven't dressed up in probably a decade
Hilltopper39 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I will also be using it as an excuse to drink, perhaps even some Halloween themed beer
Moose Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 For Halloween night I usually go up to my sister's so i can see my nephew (and new niece this year!). Not sure If i will since it's on a Monday. I am going to the bf's party on the Saturday before, but I'm feeling uninspired by this years theme.
the ghost Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 TPR Takeover anyone? Who wants to troll the hell house? I don't live in the right state, but I would love to see this in person and ask the host dude questions about specific passages, biblical interpretations and analysis, as well as potential alternative outcomes... thus trolling the hell house host with basic debate team knowledge! As for me I will probably give out candy, but I am going to Skalloween the Friday before, so that's really all I need to do to celebrate!
Cyber.Fiber Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I don't know what I'm doing yet... or have any idea what I'm gonna be... but I have been trying out some different makeup looks lately and will probably be one of them. I did this one yesterday: Skeleton... I know... original... lol
Angry_Gumball Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'll have photos when it's up but here's an element to my Halloween costume. I'm sure that after looking at the photo, you'll figure out what I'm being. Yes, I made the graphics, inspired by the classic Mattel toy I had when I was a kid. Traditionally, we dress up at work and spend a good half hour or more doing a photo shoot. Customers coming in get to enjoy us in costume Not sure what I'm doing Halloween day but we did set up the yard with some lighting/theming, just building up our halloween collection as we never really decorated anything in the years past. Here's a few photos, I'll get more tomorrow as we just finished putting up spider webs complete with a variety of spiders. Oh, and I can't forget a final Halloween Haunt session at CGA, as much as I know it's about to be jam packed. Cemetery with lighting setup Cemetery Our newly acquired witch, suspended over our driveway via fishing line Bat prop
Chris Benvenuto Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'll probably give out some candy and try to resist the urge of eating the leftovers. I'll also go down to Cedar Point either this weekend or next, on a Saturday or Sunday. Most likely on Sunday, to have some fun and enjoy one of the final weekends and days of 2011, that is until they reopen in May 2012.
ernierocker Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Going to take the kids out trick or treating!
Meteornotes Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'm going to a wedding that weekend. I suspect that I'll see scary drunk people. dt
ernierocker Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 ^ What are they going to be this year? Dylan is going to be a Monkey. I am pretty sure Kayla is going to be Tinkerbell, but not positive.
Moose Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 ^Very cute. I think my nephew is going to go as an astronaut and my niece as a ladybug. ^^ Halloween Wedding... that could be interesting.
ernierocker Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 So, looks like I was mistaken. Candace just corrected me. LOL! Kayla is going as a kitty cat. Her Tinkerbell costume is too big, so she will wear it next year.
154bmag Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I dont go trick or treating on halloween, but i still have a costume. TF2 Scout (I am aware the earpiece is wrong and there are no bandages. And here are our pumpkins. The one on the left is mine, the middle is my brothers girlfriend's, and the right is my brothers. TIME FOR CLOSEUP!!! TPR PUMPKIN FTW I think the others speak for themselves.
Hilltopper39 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Happy Halloween!!! Beware of Hitchhiking Ghosts!
Moose Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 I'm currently handing out candy (minus all the almond joys which i am scarfing down). I'm a little disappointed in the costumes this year.
Angry_Gumball Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 (edited) Every year at work, we dress up for Halloween. Earlier in this thread I showed some artwork for my costume. Here it is in it's brightly colored glory! Edited November 1, 2011 by Angry_Gumball
