narkitty Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 ^ Haha, yes! I always love it when I get off a ride and some of the GP is freaking out. I notice it more often with teenage girls. "OMG I was literally flying like, out of my seat!"
disownedpear Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Come on Cedar Fair, stop giving Cedar Point all the Big, Fast, and tall roller coasters and KI more of it. Â yes, because maverick is so big ,fast ,and tall and diamondback isn't
Tmcdllr Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Feeling like you are going to fly out of your seat, isn't that what makes a great ride? ....dumb gp
australianalex Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Who the hell rides a roller coaster to feel safe anyway?
Tmcdllr Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Who the hell rides a roller coaster to feel safe anyway? Â Apparently that guy.
SaraAB87 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Geez.....Last time I checked airtime is normal on a ride. If you don't want to experience a small but safe thrill, then either stay home or stick to the family rides. There are still tons of people that obviously like airtime and if they dumbed down coasters so they had no airtime less people would come to the park since there would be really no point in going if they dumbed down every coaster so it was like a kiddie coaster. Â They have redundant seatbelts and lapbars on everything here now, even when the ride clearly doesn't need it, and when lap bars alone worked fine for forever. I am not sure how much more fool proof it could become.

I mean really, just looking at the track and watching the ride run you would think that maybe that might give the impression that it could be thrilling or lift you out of your seat but apparently not to this person, and that is just sad.
154bmag Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Feeling like you are going to fly out of your seat, isn't that what makes a great ride? ....dumb gp No, it's all the "loopy loops"
SaraAB87 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Which reminds me someone on the Darien Lake facebook page said that because she saw a guest with something offensive on their shirt that DL should ban all shirts with writing on them....
Blind Idiot God Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Which reminds me someone on the Darien Lake facebook page said that because she saw a guest with something offensive on their shirt that DL should ban all shirts with writing on them.... Â I've been yelled at by random people for wearing band shirts at parks fairly often. Something about "inappropriate images", which is, of course, quite amusing coming from someone who was screaming and swearing at her kids just a minute ago.
australianalex Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Silver dollar city already has coasters so why are they building this? In response to a picture of SDC's new woodie.
IneedTPforbunghole Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Silver dollar city already has coasters so why are they building this? In response to a picture of SDC's new woodie. Umm, because they want MORE?!?! What a simple concept that some idiots just don't understand, like airtime. Also, they need a woodie.
disownedpear Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 This wasn't from facebook but from the top ten worst coasters list. Medusa at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is rated as 3rd worst and the reason is I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like the X2

cfc Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 ^This really is a "fill in the blank with any baseless comparison you want" kind of statement. Â "I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like a grinning yak sitting atop a dead yeti." "I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like a red wheelbarrow in the yard sitting by the white chickens." "I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like ________."
Angry_Gumball Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 From the SFDK Superman glitch announcement...and you thought self-proclaimed experts on TPR were bad enough, it's even worse when it comes to the GP: Â It was constructed waaaaayyyyy too fast!!!! N I bet there are many more problems to come... Â Honestly, what did you expect with how ridiculously implausible this track is? Â Tons of various other GP gold (with a few, I mean, very few sensible things said)here.

Like this one?: Better install harnesses or an over the shoulders bar because if that gets stuck upside down, people will fall out of that. With working out the bugs, that would protect the safety of your customers. Not to mention, maybe you guys should stop naming your rides after Superman because they all have fiascos associated with them.
JonnyRCT3 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) In response of Cedar Point's 2013 teaser... Â 1. Lol 2. No, no not at all 3. A 95* drop will provide the same sensation if it were to be 600' tall, it would just last longer. 4. This one makes no sense. If the attraction is yet to be announced, how can you Google it? 5. Oh really? link please Edited August 4, 2012 by JonnyRCT3
IneedTPforbunghole Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 5. Oh really? link please I guess link?
JonnyRCT3 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 5. Oh really? link please I guess link? I was being sarcastic it said a flying coaster was on the news, it was a wing rider.
deathfearsnone Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 This is about cedar point Fast Lanes ??? you guys sucks you charge for line skippers... why to drive here, pay Hotel for what I can get in 6-Flags in Chicago ? Â ... I am not returning next year. Â Ps> Who gave you the idea ? one ex manager that make other park broke ??
Her0ofLime Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 So Carowinds posted a pic of what is clearly Carolina Cyclone under construction for their "Time Travel" picture of the day. Check out this gold: Thunder Road, most definitely!  Thunder Road! who cant forget that wow!  Yes, the dual racing tracks. It is Thunder Road.  Wind seeker  That is Thunder Road I love that coster!  Waynes world wooden coaster  it cant be the cyclone cause there is no loops and it cant be thunder road not enough hills i say the hurler  Looks like the Vortex from Kings Island in Cincy!  Thunder Road??   Yeah, that pic of a STEEL coaster definitely looks like Thunder Road (a WOODEN coaster). I went back ten pages looked at the post shown above, clicked the link and I found THIS I hate that ride your butt comes out the seat and your head goes back and froth Airtime is fun, not something to hate. I also like frothy drinks.
