ParkTrips Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 I'm going to say Lake Compounce. It looks like you got off on top of the sky ride. The tubes look like their's. The crackers may go with the clam chowdah, hence the Boston reference. TWA flight 800 went down somewhere in that area. Â .. but I hold a reservation for Knoebels too. There was an idlewild ski shop up in that area.. hmm...
Jose Eber Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 You know what? I might be wrong. Â It could be Idlewild Campground in California. There is China Gulch there (the chinese food thingy) And for the blue water -- maybe it was something about the Big Blue Lake there. Â Edit: Also, Thrillville (with Enchanted forrest nearby) I believe are close by. Â Edit 2: Â I think I remember seeing a Blue OX (Paul Bunyon style) in that area? Â I could be soooooo far off. I'm going to shut up now...for now.
robbalvey Posted September 5, 2005 Author Posted September 5, 2005 These next three photos should help give some stuff away.... Â The next clue word is "Shawshank" The fact that Elissa is eating pizza is yet another dead giveaway! Now here's a BIG clue! Now you just gotta figure out which Carrabba's this guy runs! Ahh! Now it will be easy to narrow down what states Carrabba's is located in!
SixFlagsTexas Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 (edited) Here's the carrabas locater, so many to choose from, don't know if this is much help. There's no search on the site to look for Bret Baumgartner. :? Â Edit: They give the owner names under "Map & Hours Operation" Â http://carrabbas.know-where.com/carrabbas/ Edited September 5, 2005 by SixFlagsTexas
robbalvey Posted September 5, 2005 Author Posted September 5, 2005 Yup, that's quite a few! Who's bored enough to call every one of them and ask if Bret is the guy that runs it! Â --Robb
Jose Eber Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 ^lol. Â I wonder if someone would do that. Â What's up for grabs? Â Themeparkreview pride?
USRoadTripper Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 (edited) My guess is that the guy is proprietor of this Carrabbas: Westminster 7401 West 92nd Ave. Westminster, CO 80021 Â EDIT: Nope, I jumped to a conclusion I guess. Â -Julie Edited September 5, 2005 by USRoadTripper
CoasterEricHP Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Shawshank?! Are you in Zihuatanejo, Mexico? Â Shawshank Prison is in Maine... maybe all you Maine people are right after all
robbalvey Posted September 5, 2005 Author Posted September 5, 2005 My guess is that the guy is proprietor of this Carrabbas:Westminster 7401 West 92nd Ave. Westminster, CO 80021 Â -Julie BZZT! Nope! But nice try! Â --Robb
CycloneMan Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 I'm goign to say (after seeing the Pizza Hut, and High Voltage sign) you are the the Land of Make believe in Hope, NJ.
USRoadTripper Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 I correct myself:  Aurora 2088 S. Abilene Street Aurora, CO 80014 (303) 338-8600  Good thing they are open at 11:35 Mountain time to answer such random questions hehe  -Julie
CycloneMan Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 If you look closely at the pic it looks like the Sky Splash rubber duckie from Sesame Place behind Robb in the backround, are you guys in Langhorne Pennsylvania? BTW, they use clear tubes, and are a Busch Park, thus they have nice plant-life like that. Also, Sesame Place has a *Vekoma* credit! Argh, I be the crazy Rubber Ducky from hell who ate Ernie and Bert's unibrow, now gimme some candy!  That does sound right actually. Vapor Trail is actually an ok rdie, but I the Rubber Ducky isn't blue.
Jose Eber Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Actually, you can check each proprietor online at Carrabas. You have to click through each location for times. It gives a name.
CoasterEricHP Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Im not finding any Bret guy though.. Maybe Robb and Elissa were invite to open a new restaurant  Eric
Jose Eber Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 yah, nothing on the whole site (20 minutes down the drain). Â
XanderLee Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Well, I'm pretty sure Noah's Ark Waterpark rents clear tubes...so..thats a thought. Â Never been there before, so I have no idea otherwise.
Jose Eber Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Great! Don't forget the Alvey's are a moving target --- look what they can do in Europe in a short time -- they could be moving all over the place!
SLUSHIE Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Great! Don't forget the Alvey's are a moving target --- look what they can do in Europe in a short time -- they could be moving all over the place! Â Just like Carmen San Diego
AllisonY2K Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 (edited) YOU'RE IN AURORA, CO! Â this is how I found the Carrabba's: On May 22, 2005 Bret Newell Baumgartner and Amy Louise Sullivan were married in the Disneyland Hotel Rose Court Garden in Orange County, Calif. It really was a fairytale event , we hear. The bride arrived at the ceremony in a flower clad Cinderella coach drawn by a white horse and driven by two footmen. Bret is a former Summit High Grad and longtime resident of the county. The couple are both Colorado State University graduates - Bret in business and Amy in fashion merchandising. and design. After a honeymoon in Italy, they will reside in Sterling Hills Estates near Denver. Bret will be assuming the helm of the Carraba's restaurant in Aurora as a proprietor/part owner. Â edited to add: looking at a map of Colorado I'd say you're in the Denver area (which includes Aurora as an outskirt metro area) Edited September 5, 2005 by AllisonY2K
XanderLee Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Yeah. You know, each picture is probably from a different state over the years. They're just laughin it up.
Jose Eber Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Well, there is an Idlewild campsite in colorado...
