Rollercoaster Day is celebrated annually on the 16th August. The origins of the celebration are not completely clear, however, the most widely believed explanation for Rollercoaster Day is that the date was chosen to mark the 16th August, 1898, which was when the very first patent for a rollercoaster ride was issued. The date has been marked by fairgrounds and fans of rollercoasters all over the world since the eighties.

I just told a weee fib today, as I just found out, David has taped and 'burned a disc' of the original IT series...with Tim Curry as you-know-who. And I told him (before), that I had seen Curry in IT. All of the series. All of .... IT. So now we're going to watch it, so he can go see the new IT without me. This is all just wierd to me, right now. Not a rant. More of a worry. #sweatingHERE

Nrthwnd Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Worth repeating.... A Merry-Go-Round runs clockwise. (Midnight, 1, 2, 3, etc.) A Carousel goes counter-clockwise. (Midnight, 11, 10, 9, etc.) Since a few reports are screwing up which is which. Somewhat annoying. So maybe this should be a "Rant"?
